Scale stared at the bobcat with concern. He still wasn't sure how fully to move his body, and now a bobcat was circling them. Someone might die.
Onix didn't wait for it to get comfortable and charged the bobcat with lumbering steps and a diminutive roar.
Mikona and Komina took the chance to flank the sides of the bobcat while Rigun ran to bite its hind legs.
But before the others could attack Onix and the bobcat clashed, swiping each other with their claws unwilling to go for a bite yet.
That would end poorly for the bobcat as the twin cubs latched onto it front legs, pinning it in place.
Rigun went to bite its rear legs but was seared by a whip of flame that shot out of the bobcats tail. "Hot!"
Scale ran through what he could do and pulled on what he remembered his encounters with bears. That almost killed me several times over.
Scale was running up when he saw the open maw of the bobcat spark and flicker like steel striking flint. A terrifying thought came to Scales mind. "Onix, dodge!"
Onix deciding not to doubt the warning dived to the side, barely avoid a face full of liquid fire that spewed from the bobcats mouth.
Onix wasn't fast or agile enough to avoid the liquid flame entirely. Onix howled in pain as the flaming liquid stuck to his leg and burned through his fur.
"Run into the river, I finish it!" Onix ran to the river in a half panic as Scale took his place.

Scale stood in front of the bobcat, distracting it as Jenon attacked its side, causing a nasty gash that gushed blood.
The bobcat wailed in pain and shot out flames at Mikona and Komina, forcing them to recoil away.
The bobcat whimpered and turned to run off but was nicked in a tendon by Pafen, who ran off the moment it looked at them.
Seeing the bobcat trip, Scale brought himself upright and charged the bobcat.
Fear crossed the cats face as Scale brought down its claws into its neak, causing massive amounts of pain as his claws shattered halfway through the bobcat.
The bobcat struggled to get up only to fall over and dismantled into pixels that vanished.
Just as Scale was about to turn to check on Onix when a yellow panel appeared above where the bobcat disappeared.
[Flaming Bobcat: Wooden Phase 2 has died dispensing drops.]
4 Chunks of flaming bobcat flesh
2 Poor wooden enhancing pills
Scale stared as pixels formed below the panel, generating four basket ball sized pieces of meat and two tennis ball sized mud balls followed by the panel shrinking and disappearing. What kind of game...
Scale glanced over to Onix, who was silently whimpering as the stream ran over their raw skin. Clearly, the aftermath of the bobcats work.
Scale felt bad for the cub, but there was little he could do. He mulled over his guilt as a small revelation hit him, turning to the mud ball with an idea.
Scale went over to one of the mud balls and downed the whole thing in one wincing gulp. "God, that tastes awful."
"Why did Scale eat dirt?" Pafen asked Scale somehow, being next to him.
"What the hell! When did you get there? You know what, never mind, I'm testing something to see if I can help Onix." Scale focused on his body to see if it was anything like what he thought it would.
Seconds ticked by as Scale questioned if it he was wrong, but after 30 seconds, a new panel appeared in front of him.
