Surviving

After killing my first mantis, I looked around to see if I could kill some more of them. But I couldn't find even one mantis that was isolated and alone. So because I didn't want to waste any more time I challenged 2 of them at once. I swiftly and silently charged at the first one managing to chop one of its legs off, before being noticed by the 2 mantises. Then nimbley dodged an attack from the second mantis. I ran around it and managed to sever its head. In rage of its buddie dying the remaining mantis charged at me with all of its strength. But I managed to dodge it just in time and because of all that strength put into the charge he stumbled and I cleanly severed its head. Congratulations you have killed 2 Giant mantises! You leveled up to level 2!

After killing the giant mantises I leveled up, and I seem to get 2 stats points for every stat per level up. Which seems decently fair. Now that I am level 2 and can survive pretty easily, let's practice with my naginata. Because although levels are important I don't want to turn into the human equivalent of an ogre, an ogre is a huge green skinned, and incredibly strong creature, but incredibly dumb and its techniques are horrible. So with a little bit of dodging and weaving you can easily attack it from behind and kill it in one fell swoop.

So I started training with my naginata again. Hoping to slowly get at least decent with it, when i got a notification. “Congratulations you learned the skill “novice naginata user” nice, my progress with the naginata seems to be pretty fast, although i have only spent about 7 hours practicing i can already be considered a novice. Now that I have a little bit of mastery with a naginata let’s go and kill a few more giant mantises. But when i got outside i saw it was dark and hunting for giant mantises in the dark didn't seem like a good idea to me. It totally wasn't just because I am a little scared of the dark. There's just no way an adult is scared of the dark.

So after seeing it was dark I had to change my plans. And after a bit of thinking I decided sleeping would be the best idea. I needed rest after this long day.
