“Shit! There are too many of them!” Riley exclaimed. He unsheathes his sword, his sword’s blade glowing from the [Sword Aura]. The Lycans rushed at Riley with a fast speed. Riley’s eyes narrowed at the rushing Lycans. The imaginary thread formed, piercing through the Lycan’s cores. The thread quickly turned pink. He gripped the sword’s handle tighter.
[The Threads of Life]
“You little bastards! Die!” Riley snarled; blood covered his face, making a bloody canvas. The dead Lycan’s bodies exploded into pink petals. Riley jumped back as the Lycans surrounded him, the petals flowing in the air, lighting the cave slightly from their slight glow. A Lycan bit hard on Riley’s arm. “You bitch!” Riley snarled in pain. A Lycan swiped his sword away; Riley clenched his fist. Riley’s eyes widened; the pink petals shattered and landed on the Lycan’s furs. KABOOM!
The petals exploded on the Lycan’s bodies. They snarled and growled in pain; he punched the Lycan that was biting his arm. Riley’s hair danced from the explosion; it didn’t smell like sulfur. It smelt sweet. Riley quickly rolled on the ground and grabbed his sword. Blood slithered down his arm. A Lycan jumped at Riley, its mouth wide-opened. Riley sliced the Lycan’s head off with precision. Riley wondered something. He focused his eyes on the petals that flowed from the Lycan’s exploding body. He saw a Lycan rushing at him.
Riley’s eyes widened as he focused on the Lycan. The petals moved to pierce the Lycan. The Lycan rolled on the floor with a whimper. Riley squints his eyes; the petals explode. Blood splattered everywhere. Riley started to slaughter the Lycans; blood, pink petals, and guts splattered everywhere. Riley’s body was covered in claw marks and bites.
You killed [C-Rank Blue Lycan]! You killed [C-Rank Blue Lycan]! You killed…! You leveled up!

“Daryl! We killed the boss! Should we retrieve the miner’s body? He’s surely dead by now,” Gerald asked as he sheathed his sword. Daryl nodded his head and headed to the rock-covered entrance. Daryl winds up a punch and destroys the rubble; his eyes widen as he steps into the massacre. Blood and Lycans are scattered all over the ground. “Y-you bastards…” Riley emerged from the darkness, his delicate features marked with blood and bruises. “Hm, you’re one of those fake hunters, huh? Too bad you’re too hurt,” Daryl sneered. He sauntered over to Riley.

Riley’s lips curled into a smile. Daryl leaned closer, a smirk plastered on his face. “What’s so funn—“ Daryl’s head was upside down; blood flowed in the air. “Was the world always upside down?” Daryl thought; he saw Riley’s face upside down. A final thud, his head rolls on the floor towards Riley’s foot. Blood gushed out, painting the ground red.
New Quest!
[Quest: Kill the enemies! (1/4)]
The other members grit their teeth. “Stacyann! Buff me!” Marcus said as he rushed with his dagger. “Yes! Speed buff!” Stacyann started to cast the spell; Marcus became even faster. Riley’s eyes narrowed; he took a step back. He sliced the air; pink petals formed from their wake. “You know a little magic, huh?” Marcus snickered.
He rushed through the petals; the petals started to crackle. KABOOM! Marcus’s body was sent to the cave wall; a crater formed. Marcus coughs blood as his body slithered down to the floor. “MARCUS!” Gerald screamed; veins covered his neck. “I’ll kill you!” Gerald swung his sword at Riley. Riley deflects it with his swordsmanship. Sparks flowed in the air.
[Pierce]
Blood spilled from Gerald’s mouth. Riley’s sword pierced Gerald’s armor. “Gerald! No!” Stacyann screamed; her eyes widened. Riley pulls out his sword; Gerald falls onto his knees. He sauntered over Stacyann, his face emotionless. “Stop! S-stay back! You monster!” Stacyann falls on the floor; she tries to stand up but fails to. Her knees were too weak. Her heart beats rapidly. “What a hypocrite,” Riley simply answered. Stacyann hastily stands up and tries to run away.
[Hack n Slash]
Stacyann’s body was covered in slashes. Her eyes rolled back as she screamed in pain. The slashes leave a trail of fire in their wake. She slowly falls to the ground, face-planting. This reminds Riley of his past. He used to be a S-rank Hunter. He only killed a few people before he regressed. This feeling is too foreign. Riley looks at Marcus; burns marks his body. Riley heard some distant snarls. “Huh, the Lycans are probably coming. I should get going,” Riley turns his heel and heads out. “H-hey! Don’t leave me here… help! Help me!” Marcus extends his hand; Riley doesn’t turn around but keeps walking.
Marcus’s eyes widened at the Lycans arriving; they slowly approached the injured Marcus. “NOOO—“ the Lycans tore Marcus’s body apart. Their teeth dug into his flesh. Tears formed in Marcus’s eyes. Marcus’s arms wailed helplessly, and the Lycans clawed his face off. Marcus’s screams slowly became silent. Riley exits out of the portal.

Most of Riley’s injuries started to heal and stitch back together. Riley turned around and saw the portal slowly shrinking. “Hm, I guess they killed the boss before they died. How nice,” Riley said to nobody. Riley decided to sell the cores. He started to walk towards the agency, looking down at his phone. That is until he bumped into someone familiar. “Are you okay?”
