Chapter 3 : "Greedy, like a rat!"

Chapter 3 : "Greedy, like a rat!"

Our days were full of joy and happiness ... All so peaceful, until the mice reappeared. Don't know where they get news about our condition, when they know we have a little money, they just come and ask for their proportion.

Really... Helen did not think there were shameless and ignorant people like them! How could they ask for money and declare that they have the right to the property we have, when it is all the efforts of my parents and the help of Mr. Anton.

Apparently they do have a rhinoceros face! Their faces are too thick, maybe even thicker than the rhino itself, so they do not recognize the meaning of the word "shame" or "self-conscious".

They kept bothering us. The climax of this is when her parents had an accident. They became one of the causes of Helen's father and mother's death!

Helen was so dejected when she heard about her parents' death. She was overwhelmed by deep sadness ... And confusion, about what she have to do and how she could live alone. Luckily, Helen's parents had a little savings they collected for Helen's college tuition later. Her father and mother also left some insurance and collateral. Though not much, but it was all enough to meet Helen's needs during her high school sessions and the funeral costs of her parents.

The greedy animal gang began to fondle Helen on the day of the funeral. They put their best "mask" to snare Helen, in order to entrust her parents' savings and inheritance to them, because Helen was too young to manage everything.

They think Helen is stupid! Besides, they assumed that Helen was too small and would not remember all the things that happened. Although Helen was still very small, but she had a strong memory! Plus, life has forced her to grow into a more mature person than other children on same age as her. Helen is not a plain little girl who will be easily influenced by the seduction of her crazy relatives even though they offer a lot of "candy".

Helen even find her relatives laughing happily! They are so happy to draw up a future plan about Helen's parents' estate. The forbidden happiness! The greed exactly, not happiness.

Greedy like rats, dirty like pigs and cunning like snakes, that's them! Huh ... In fact, maybe the animals are much better than her relatives. They are much more despicable than that. Calling them a rat, a pig or a snake is still too good!

They had long coveted the pile of Helen's parents' estate, but it was all gone when Helen's father went bankrupt and it made them all pissed off!

They blame Helen's father for that. They assumed that Helen's father and mother deliberately did so in order to make excuses not to give them any money. And when Helen's life with her parents began to stabilize again, They became even more convinced of their suspicion? Hah! It's crazy ... These guys are really crazy ... Who do they think they are? What great service, have they done for Helen and her parents, until they can assume that they have the right to her parents inheritance, as if we owe them money and property? After all, what sane man, who deliberately made a business built on his own sweat, went bankrupt, crushed, just to avoid the hordes of rats?

Helen would bet that they are so happy about the death of her parents. That means one of their rivals as the heir to the land of the grandfather's heritage was reduced.

Once, when Helen had just returned from school, she caught her relatives in their "thievery " action. Unbelievably, what they stole are not some tv or cabinet! But it's was Helen's house! They wanted to sell Mr. Anton's house to a young couple, that were looking for a house in this area without Helen's permission and knowledge.

Helen was really angry! She then confront everyone who was there. The dispute almost jeopardized Helen's safety if Mr. Michell, Mr. Anton's lawyer, did not come to intervene.

Luckily, thanks to the help of Mr. Michell, Helen managed to overcome the greed of her relatives.

Yaaahh ... As Helen said before, they were thick faced! Their faces are too thick and shrunken. Their skin is apparently thicker than rhinoceros and elephants! They will not feel pain despite being bitten by ants or other small insects. Helen doubt whether those people knew what fear and karma meant? If they were really animals, Helen was sure that they would not be smart enough to understand their own situation, even when hunters were stalking them with guns? They may behave arrogantly, then attack their hunters. They are too cocky! Maybe they'll realize it when they get shot. But that too if they were smart enough to realize it and repent, Helen doubted it.

Well ... That's the right sentence to describe their current situation. Although Mr. Michell has given a stern warning about their actions that are beyond this limit. They still behave like a king and tyrant ruler of this country.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Finally, Helen and Mr. Michell decided to bring this case to the court, because they have went too far and endanger Helen's safety. Helen wonder, what else they will do for their greed. The men had been blinded by Helen's inheritance that were less than what they owned. The inheritance and the abundant money that they think does not exist ... It's all just their imagination!

They continued to sing their allegations in the courtroom until the judge and witnesses were astonished at those people's insolent behaviors. Everyone in the courtroom can only shake their heads after seeing the behavior of these "bandits".

Initially Helen, Mr. Michell and the judge agreed to end the trial only by giving warning letters and restrictions on those rats, for them not to disturb Helen's lives and her parents inheritance, which is now legally passed on to Helen. But ... Well~ They do not know when to back off and give up!

They did not accept the judge's decision, and started acting hysterically, to pointing and slandering that the judges and witnesses in the room were unfair and had conspired with Helen and got bribed! So many accusations and insults were thrown making the judge and everyone in the courtroom boiled over in anger!

The judge also added his decision, he then asked them to pay compensation to Helen. Upon hearing that, they were getting fired and almost attacking the judge. Then the judge added a 7-month prison term and social work, to each family member involved in the greedy incident.

Immediately after hearing that they would stay behind bars for 7 months, the lickers began to panic, and apologized, asking the judge to withdraw the sentence that were imposed on them. They say, that was not deliberate, they were just confused.

'Coward, loser, hypocrite.' Helen mocks them in her heart.

Unfortunately, their crocodile tears* can not fool the judge ... Everyone has witnessed the wild wars of this wolf in sheep clothing. No one has any sympathy for the bandits. Instead, they deeply regretted why Helen had to have such crazy relatives and sympathized with Helen for dealing with greedy rats, when she had just been away from her parents.

The judge was also too tired of hearing their thousands of reasons, the judge threatened to increase their punishment if they continued to protest, before finally leaving the courtroom.

Well ... Finally Helen can live quietly for a while. Helen knew her relatives were not the ones to give up easily! Especially when it comes to inheritance affairs! If they are not aware, then that means the door of their heart has been closed and will be difficult to save them from destruction. They are beyond help... Helen still has to make her combat strategy. Even so, Helen kept on praying that her relatives were aware and repentant. Because after all, there is one fact that she can not deny, they are still "family" from her father and mother by blood ties. How sad...

Helen had promised she would never repay or disturb her relatives, as long as they never harassed, looked for trouble or touched the line of her patience. Helen would not be warm or cold to them, Helen would be just as casual as a stranger.

Helen also tries as much as possible to solve all her own problems without having to always ask or get help from Mr. Michell and Mr. Anton. Helen did not want to be a burden to them. Helen also knows, what Mr. Michell and Mr. Anton have done so far was too much for her. Helen also promised her late mother that been would not bother Mr. Anton anymore, if she could, she would like to repay all the kindness that Mr. Anton has given to her little family.

After graduating from high school, Helen decided to work because she did not have a lot of money. Helen initially worked part-time in one branch of a Japanese foreign company located in central Jakarta. Helen used to work as an additional assistant in the marketing staff for the company. Her job is to copy documents from the work of the team marketing, preparing materials for meetings and deliver files or reports. In addition, she also served to make coffee and drinks for the team members.

For half a year she worked hard, Helen accidentally met a Japanese woman on the rooftop of her office building. At first, Helen thought the woman was one of the employees who worked here or maybe one of the team leaders from one of the divisions.

They start chatting and because they feel comfortable, that woman also told disclose the problem she faced at work. Helen who was carried away by the atmosphere of intimacy among them also convey ideas and opinions bluntly without thinking. The woman was quite surprised to hear the idea. The woman then excused herself and started running like a marathon. Helen was amazed. She wondered if there was anything wrong with her words?

Helen finally got an answer about it, after nearly 2 weeks later. The woman was named Naoko Kurata, one of the CEOs in this company. She happened to be thinking about some of the problems that the work team under her guidance facing. And so happy when Helen gave her a "crazy" idea. She was even surprised to find that Helen was only a part-time worker in this company, especially that Helen was only a high school graduate. Then Naoko took the initiative to promote Helen into a permanent employee, who will work directly under her leadership.

And for almost 2 years Helen worked under Naoko's supervision, she always gave a satisfactory result. Naoko always praised Helen, even joking about wanting to adopt Helen as her daughter, or matching Helen with her own child. She will even make sure her son will marry Helen. Hearing that, Helen really did not know whether she should laugh or cry

Helen always has a strong sense of curiosity and learning, she is also open minded and ready to accept the suggestions and criticism from her boss and coworkers. She's a tough and strong girl type. She is also easy to get along, so a lot of people in her office like her. Her behavior sometimes kinda "absurd"... Often makes people laugh. She became a cheerleader and entertainer in her working environment, though inevitably there will be some people who are jealous and consider Helen just lucky and smart in asskissing it.

All Helen's hard work pays off with her being chosen to get a chance to study in Japan. Helen will leave for Japan in early February this year. That means, she will be very busy for the next few days.

In addition of being busy with work, Helen was also made upset because of that strange dream. Her hunch told her that she might find the answer about that dream in there, in the land of sakura.

"Oh gosh, Helen ... Helen ... Looks like you've been watching too much anime lately." Mock herself.

Understandably... Helen is an Otaku, she is so fond of anime and manga as well as japanese and korean tv dramas. She will even pursue live action films from her favorite manga or anime.

Her hobby had started since she was in elementary school, but it got worse when she was in high school. Perhaps because of loneliness and boredom, Helen then sought out liberation, entertainment and encouragement for herself.

Hehe ... Helen has even made plans to visit akihabara upon her arrival in japan. Hopefully she can control her mortal desires... And not tempted to buy all the interesting things she found later.

"Hmm ... Just one more week ..." Helen whispered to herself, looking at the calendar in her room.

"Ugh ... Even today I have to dream that again ... Even if I have to dream, at least let me have a beautiful dream! I'm tired of that tragic dream." Helen's cry while kept rolling on her soft mattress.

"Yes, never mind... Tomorrow morning must work again ..." She replied resigned while limping.

"Good night Daddy, mom ... Sleep well." She said, smiling at the photographs of her parents on the small table near her bed.
