CANYON RUSH
A while later, when things had subsided somewhat, Theo came down and grinned from ear to ear as he the experience from the piles of corpses around and the huge worm. Truth be told, the worm by itself gave the same experience as all the corpses together, almost a hundred points. That was one of the reasons it became such a bother to rely on attributes the stronger you got. It was really hard to level up, even if you bend the world in half. He estimated around ten thousand critters killed, but this huge farming only amounted to so little. Killing monsters weaker than yourself really only gives trashy results.
Theo shrugged over the fatality of attributes. The real reason he did all that was the canyon score after all. All these events distracted Theo from the appearance of his guest. A man, floating above the liquid mass and pieces of monsters innards below, was clapping his hands. The sound oddly clear, despite the fading noise of critters running away. "Incredible. Spectacular." Theo didn't stop absorbing the remaining experience, only sparing a glance at him. "Ignoring me? Where are your manners?" The man flew over to Theo and started slashing wind blades at him. "I hate being ignored!" The man screamed as Theo dodged his attacks, infuriating him even more. "I'll slice you into tiny little pieces to serve the monsters later, slimy boy." The man laughed.
Theo kept dodging, using mana without restraint. The wind blades were way too fast for him, but, using his experience of years fighting people, he managed to predict his opponent. The attacker was being way too murderous, and that showed his intentions as clear as ice to Theo. Had he not been on the clone, he wasn't sure he could leave this place alive. Luckily, as soon as Theo saw the corpses from a team lying on the canyon, he had the nagging suspicion the assassin would appear sooner or later.
Alravich: a psychopath through and throughout. The man took fun in killing others and got a bit famous in the first depth during his time. "What do you want from me?" Theo managed to spit out as he inclined to dodge a wind blade passing above his head. He didn't even need to use his blessing to remember the man. Alvarich gave him a hard time in his past life, hunting him.

"Me? Nothing. I just find such intense men interesting. That's all." Alvarich licked his mouth. "Don't you think it's time you show your cards? Just dodging and dodging is getting pretty boring." He hugged himself, trying to contain the excitement inside of him. "Explode me like you did the huge calamity over there."
Creep. Theo rushed him and tried to attack. It was no use as Alvarich dodged all his attacks with ease. As a wind user, mobility and cutting power were his strengths. The terrain also didn't help, Theo couldn't find proper footing as the corpses of most monsters were almost liquid due to the explosion. The fight just started, but he was already tired. Almost all his mana was spent preparing the ritual; between surviving the explosion and dodging wind blades, not much was left. Alvarich was a veteran at the abyss for the current times and had already reached level eight. He also possessed many items to be used as trump cards that were collected over time. A fair fight with him was nearly impossible for the current Theo. The only thing holding him mana reserves was his wristband of regeneration, which also worked for mana, but many people didn't know.
"Hey, hey, hey. Don't give up so fast. Let us have some fun!" Alvarich screamed as he threw wind blades all over Theo. "Did you use everything you had to kill the earth calamity? Was it an item? Are you at your weakest? You didn't expect to be attacked right now? Did you? You were so incredible before! Attack me, destroy me!" Alvarich kept taunting Theo while moving in the air, covering all space around. The attacks came from everywhere, as Theo did his best to dodge. He didn't hold up for long though as a misstep ended up wIth his body being mangled.
Alvarich didn't stop until Theo's body was in pieces. "Tsk, I thought a person who exploded the canyon calamity in half would be much more fun." He kicked the body pieces back into the monster mass, "shit, I didn't want to kill him. Oh well… whatever," and started running away as a horde of green slimy critters that covered the whole canyon path appeared in the distance. The canyon was massive, but the millions of bodies more than made up for it. "Ooops, I think I overstayed my welcome." He finally felt himself in danger.
