Time has passed as I looked over the people for the night. Everything was slowly moving like the story but how do I counter the concubine? How do I counter something that seems impossible? As these thoughts swirled over me did I face the guardsmen and an idea popped into my head. 

Why don't I just cause a commotion and lead the boy away from this place to another that would help him? But the place I'm imagining is about continents away in the dragon lands. 

The dragon lands are just what it sounds like as the continent is full of dragons and dragon-like creatures, there are also the royal dragons as they rule over the land with an iron fist and also have the medicine for the poison Xinyi Chen has in his system. 

Since I am a phoenix I could teleport him to the place along with me but I have no stinking clue of what to do to teleport to the place! 

It just sucks that everything will go down the drain if I don't figure out this teleporting thing as this body never came with an instruction manual! As my thoughts spiraled did I see that the guardsmen from earlier that were communicating with Ai Chen, the favored concubine and twin of the empress that shares her name? My guess is the creator forgot of whom to name the empress and decided for them to be twins with different names. Ai Xinyi and Ai Gao. The empress and the concubine. 

I quickly got out of my thoughts as looked at the guardsmen with eyes that promised retribution if he does something stupid. As he grew closer did something in me grow from distrust and wariness. Just before he could touch my charge I decided to blind him. I put my talons to his eyes and scratched them out. His being screamed distrust and hidden meaning. 

His screams rang throughout the camp as everyone soon looked over to me and what was happening. I saw horror and confusion mixed into their being but some of the spirit beasts soon came over and tried to bite me. Tried being the keyword. I quickly flew above there reach as I let loose the energy I could feel burning up. 

It ended up releasing elements that rained down upon the beast and humans that dared approach me and my ward. Quickly I flew to Xinyi as his eyes watched the carnage that rained the parade of man and beast.

Some were on fire, others drowning in liquid, being electrocuted, and nature grabbing them and choking them. Beast or man it didn't matter as nature was furious in a way I have never seen. 

Great, my semi-first day here, and I already started a massacre. But there was one that was not caught in the crossfire. It was the beast with emerald eyes and pearlescent orb on his forehead. He just stared at us as he never bothered to help the others that obviously needed help. Just who was that wolf?

'I am Cheng, noble Pheonix.'

I only stared at him, not giving away my surprise. Telepathy, maybe?

'Yes, I learned Telepathy from an old friend of mine.'

Oh? Tell me, is it this boy's mother?

'Perspective of you, I'm the familiar of Jun Chen.'

Tell me, why is this boy surrounded like a criminal with no father or mother?

'My King, Jun, the Emperor was notified that this boy was selling information to enemies for reason's unknown, causing problems for the palace, and poisoning his siblings.'

If that is true then why can I sense that he has never down any of this? I sense no indication that he has ever done any of this except for some of these pathetic beings?

That froze the wolf, dead center as I saw the conflict in his eyes. Ignoring the wolf did I turn towards my charge and croon a calm song that I remember. That seemed to put him right to sleep. As I sat right by him did the wolf start to walk towards us while I finally noticed the silence that greeted us. Looking around did I see every beast and man was dead except for me, the child, and the wolf that stood right in front of me. Hmm, did my mindset change when I was reborn? Or did God give me a freebie?

'Noble Phoenix, may I ask for you to come with us to the Empire that houses my King?'

Hmm, why should I? Will he just kill me to show he is worthy or kill the child that knew no love for no reason?

'My King requests an audience. A phoenix is never to be killed by humans, beast, dragons, elves, dwarves, demons, nor fairies for the fear of the gods struck them down. A Rainbow Phoenix is double protected by the world itself to where even the Gods fear killing a Rainbow Phoenix. He voices he will not kill the child as a Rainbow Phoenix never goes to a corrupted person unless that person did everything for a good reason.'

Hmm, you bring points but if your King steps out of line may the Gods have mercy as I shall not. 

'Yes, my liege.'

Good, now let's set off as the smell of rotting flesh will wake the child. You wouldn't mind if he sleep's on you, right?

I gave a nod as I got Xinyi onto Cheng as he leads the way towards the Empire of Emperor Jun Chen.

I couldn't help but give a mental smirk as I knew that the favored concubine may face trouble thanks to me.
