My consciousness was slowly waking up, but the first thing I could hear was a lot of noise; strange voices seemed to cry with joy from somewhere around me. I could feel the cold, crisp air brush against my skin, a harsh sensation that slowly faded away as I received the warm embrace of something much bigger than myself.
"What happen? I don't remember anything..." I thought, drowning in a liquid that made my throat burn. “Have I died, perhaps…? Why, how and when?"
A darkness of uncertainty tinged my mind covered by gray clouds, depriving me of the privilege of understanding.
When I opened my eyes, I was blinded by an incandescent yellow light that made me bleed tears of water. In the same way that I regain consciousness, I got used to my surroundings; slowly. It was then that I discovered that what was much bigger than me and the source of that subtle and friendly warmth were the pale arms of a woman.
—Congratulations, he is a healthy child!
My head moved roughly and brutely due to the weight and imbalance, then I found the voice that announced that message. She was a woman in an elegant white dress, her black hair and her radiant red eyes told me that her seemingly wrinkle-free skin did not match her eyes full of wisdom.
"A witch?" It was the first thought that came to my head when I saw her.
Perhaps I had summoned some distant, similar-looking memory. But it was inevitable to ignore the fact that this woman looked like a stereotypical witch. She only lacked her pointed hat...
When my head lost its balance again, I looked at the place where I was. I was inside a large room, the walls seemed to be made of marble and the floor was made of smooth polished rock. The double bed I was on had a frame on top and falling silk curtains, I could see that I was surrounded by figures who were weeping with joy as they embraced each other.
I was creating a concept in my head, an idea far from any reality that I had never imagined, but that was actually happening before me.
"Have I reincarnated?"
I looked up, to meet the amber eyes of a mentally and physically exhausted woman. Her golden hair clung to the sweat on her forehead, her red lips and her small nose made her the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in front of me. She wasn't romantically attractive, she was a beauty that as a human being I recognized.

"So this woman is the one who gave birth to me, right?" My question carried more weight than it really should. "If that's the case, I can feel confident about my appearance... I'll be extremely pretty."
But as my mind drifted in the haze of images it created of what I should look like as an adult, I was brought back to reality as a wave of putrid odors made my nostrils burn.
Among all that elegance that shone in white, there was a huge red stain on the sheets at the height of my mother's thighs...
"Is that the source of the smell?"
—Oh, there it is. His first cry!
I had no idea if it was normal to lose so much blood during childbirth, in fact, I had no idea if the mother should lose blood in the first place; but what I was sure of was that ultimately the blood shouldn't smell so bad.
But at that moment, I could feel an intoxicating fragrance of perfume. A shadow took place behind me and suddenly I could feel someone kissing the top of my head. When I looked up, my head fell back and I stared blankly at the view above me.
He was the living face of what according to fairy tales was a "Hero". He was the spitting image of what a girl would imagine with the description "Prince Charming in Golden Armor".
His hair was the same gold as my mother's and he wore an open book hairstyle, but his eyes glowed a different green, he had a prominent jawline and a very manly build. The man had a luxurious all-white outfit with blue trim, but the style of his clothing was worthy of what a European medieval age nobleman would wear.
—My beautiful boy. You are finally here.
His voice made my eyes tremble with sleep, it had such a perfect tone, calm and soft, that my ears suffered from an overdose of comfort.
"This is unfair… This is absolutely unfair to all those men who have to compete with me. Not only will I be the most beautiful baby wherever I am, but I will also be the teenager and the adult who will steal any lady's heart. I will definitely be the closest to a demigod."
Well, maybe I was exaggerating with that last part, but it was a fact that my physical appearance would be as close to the mold that any human society would describe as the standard of male beauty.
Or at least that was what I thought before a bedroom door opened and two girls and a boy ran in towards the bed...
"Calm down, calm down... I mustn't lose my composure. Remember, beauty doesn't even have a place in what is happening. I need to think about my current situation. I have created a theory using as a base everything that my newborn eyes have been able to see; For starters, based on the cathedral-like architecture of this room and the clothing of all the people around me, it's obvious that we're in a middle age of civilization. Also, fortunately for these same reasons I can assure that I was born in a wealthy family. In fact, I am able to see maids in their uniforms in every corner outside the bed veil. I don't know what would have happened to me if I had been born into a family without resources... Nor can I rule out the idea that I have returned to Planet Earth's past, since it is because of these same characteristics that I remember Europe and the American Continent."
But that doubt was erased from my mind at that very moment...
Suddenly I was taken away from my mother's warmth and the man who seemed to be my father picked me up. My father handed me over to one of the maids in the corners, she cleaned me from top to bottom and then wrapped me in a blanket.
—Please, Her Majesty, allow me to treat your wound.
"Majesty...?"
But my mind couldn't deliberate much more when the witch passed by me looking at me out of the corner of her eye.
The witch raised her white hand and her black nails, and a green circle was drawn in the space between my mother and her; then a glowing green light was summoned into the witch's hand, surrounding my mother's body. Then the blood disappeared from her thighs and her sweat too.
My mind went blank as I saw how slowly the blood seemed to evaporate into the air. It was like a small artificial cloud of steam.
It was...
"Magic."
