Ambush (Part 2)
Jason immediately jumped backwards, not daring to take this power strike from the skeletal knight.
Necrotic energy, also known as necromantic energy, had a damage over time effect if applied to a living being that would not only eat away at the vitality points but also steal those same vitality points to heal the wielder.
As soon as Jason landed on the ground a flash of green light erupted from the skeletal knight's eye socket, and three bone spears erupted from the ground, piercing through Jason's thigh. Jason roared in pain as his vitality dropped to 60/102.
The skeletal knight seemed to finish charging it's sword and thrust it towards Jason. As Jason was currently pinned, there was nothing he could do except tank the hit with his shield.
Jason pushed his shield forward and at the last moment he angled his shield to the left slightly causing the knights claymore to skid across the shield and angle off to the left of Jason. The necrotic energy sparked as it slid over Jason's shield, and he felt his vitality lower slightly as he saw several points go into the knights vitality bar.
Jason gritted his teeth and activated Holy Seal causing a yellow light to envelop his blade. As the knight's momentum carried him forward, Jason thrust his sword upwards through the chest of the knight burying it up to the hilt.
A high-pitched wail came from the knight as it punched it's tower shield at Jason, pushing him off the ground and flying through the air. The bone spikes shattered as the force of the punch was so great tearing large chunks of flesh out of his thigh as he began rolling on the ground. Vitality 20/102
"F*ck!" The pain was terrible, but worse was the fact that a large amount of his vitality points was lost due that hit. "Definitely fourth level." He cursed his rotten luck to meet such an opponent while his body was still at the weak level of 0.
Before being reincarnated Jason had been at the high level of 299 and was a step away from becoming a Tier 4 Sage; the epitome of power in Socrathia. As a Sage he would have surely been able to take the horde on by himself, and even have a chance to defeat Driblark.
No one from Earth had been able to become a Sage, while there were only five different Sages in Socrathia. Two of them killed each other battling over an item which was rumored to be a god-tier item, but that was never confirmed. The other three disappeared at a crucial point in the war, which led to the inevitable defeat of Socrathia.
Jason stood and swung his sword in the air and rested it on the edge of his shield and began pacing around the Knight. When he was close enough the Knight swung its sword at him cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter.

Jason parried with his holy-infused blade, counteracting the necrotic damage that tried to surge towards him, and began an intense duel with the Knight.
They were trading blows left and right, blocking with their shield and trying to gain a hold of each other. As they were in an intense duel, other battles were quickly coming to a conclusion.
Leviticus glanced over towards Jason dueling with the knight, "I hope he can hold on or we're all done for." Leviticus refocused as a necro-arrow almost went through his shoulder.
He knocked another three arrows and sent them all towards the cultist who summoned a large green barrier around himself.
As the three arrows crashed into the barrier from different angles, they all withered into dust before they could hit him.
The cultist then paused for a moment to gather mana for a powerful attack as another five arrows flew into his barrier. With a loud yell he then thrust his hand forward, causing a bone lance to shoot out of his wrist; tearing a large gaping hole in it. His vitality bar dropped as the lance shot out towards Leviticus who nimbly rolled to the side.
"Missed MotherF*" Began Leviticus as he confidently taunted the cultist before the lance that passed by his head exploded into pieces.
Leviticus was thrown to the side as bone fragments pierced through his skin. Half of his vitality bar was drained as he crashed into the wall moaning in pain.
"Hahahahaha you think you can triumph over the power of the dead?" Roared the cultist, his body shaking with laughter at the look of surprise and pain that was on Leviticus' face. Seeing that the elf's bow was destroyed in the explosion the cultist wrote him off as having been eliminated from the fight.
He glanced over at the low level undead and saw the prisoners rolling through them like a wrecking ball. He then saw Jason tied up with his Undead Knight and was enraged that his knight hadn't defeated the intruder yet.
"Who the hell do you think you are that you can withstand the might of the undead?" He roared, "Lie down like good dogs and die!"
He began chanting a spell that he assumed should utterly destroy all these imbeciles.
Jason glanced at the cultist after he felt a surge of mana through his mana sense. Jason could tell he was building up a powerful spell. 'This knight is stronger than me, and just as fast as me.' He thought. 'Looks like I'm going to have to get a little creative.
Seeing that the vitality of the knight was just under an eighth full, he figured that now should be the best time. He opened his guard and waited for the knight to take the bait.
As the Knight swung forward with his sword Jason slipped underneath and stepped forward, knocking the Knights shield away with his own. He then gripped his sword with both of his hands and with all of his strength he lifted his body into the air and shoved it through the skull of the Skeletal Knight.
The Knight roared in pain, and before it could do anything Jason activated Ice Spike point blank inside the skull. With a flash of yellow light the skull erupted in a shower of ice, and the Knight dropped to it's knees and fell to the side with a thud.
Jason quickly turned towards the cultist and began sprinting. Jason had to stop him from releasing that spell before it was released.
"You're too late!" Roared the cultist maniacally, "Prepare to die!" A large green skull had formed over his head and as the cultist laughed maniacally he began to lower his arms to initiate the spell, when a dagger suddenly pierced through the back of his throat.
As the dagger appeared out of thin air, so did a bloodied elf who had come out of a stealth skill. Leviticus leaned forward and whispered in the cultists ear, "Never underestimate an elf."
Leviticus then quickly tore the knife out and stabbed it through the cultists heart, quickly yanking it upwards through the neck again; with a final slash he decapitated the cultist.
