Chapter 12 (1): The Council of Immortals

Chapter 12 (1): The Council of Immortals

In a mysterious place, a huge foggy mountain is shining brightly with some profound lights. Aurora like lights could be seen surrounding the mountain like guardians protecting and announcing the birth of a new Lord. Almost all of the most purified Immortal Qi are gathering, swirling, and compressing on the very top of the mountain.

There, a huge palace made of huge trees could be easily seen. The palace made of huge branching trees is quite mysterious, beautiful and also elegant. Now, the trees that made up of the palace are deforming and slowly opening itself like a flower of a lotus. When it finally opened, at the very center of it all, one could see a person sitting. And all of the Immortal Qi are being sucked by her like a hungry beast.

After almost a month, the lights around the mountain slowly dimmed. The Immortal Qi also started to dissipate.

At the top of the mountain, the mysterious person opened her eyes and breathed out a sigh. Even though she did that casually, the whole mountain shook and the air dispersed like some kind of explosion happened.

The mysterious person, a beautiful young woman, slowly floated and stood up. Then she started stretching her body. Every time she did that, she would moan with pleasure, she didn't even consider what kind of position she make as long as she stretched out her whole body she would be satisfied.

Turning around, the young woman saw a beautiful maid standing silently behind her. When the maid saw her turned around, she immediately bowed her body full of elegance.

"Congratulations for advancing and becoming an Immortal Lord, Young mistress."

The young woman smiled.

"How long was it?"

"Since you entered closed cultivation, its been three months."

"That's quite fast." the young woman muttered. Then she looked at the maid who's still standing silently waiting for any orders.

"Gather everyone, I want a detailed reports on what's going on outside."

The maid bowed slightly and suddenly vanished.

Inside of a room in the palace of trees, seventeen people gathered.

Most of them are from younger generations, making the serious atmosphere look comical. The thing is, even though they and their family thinks they're young, for the people of lower planes, they're already old. The youngest of them is actually one hundred-twenty plus.

When the sixteen people sat down, the only one left standing is the maid. She served them tea and other beverages. If one inspected it, one would notice that these beverages are quite special. If a mortal managed to sipped even just a little bit, one is sure to rise and become a genius of all the genius. Every cup of these beverage would be considered as heavenly treasures by those in the mortal realm!

For the people of those in the Immortal Realm, though they might not treat it like a heavenly treasures, they would still treat it like the most luxurious luxury they could have. Even some of the Immortal Kings probably wont be able to taste it in their lifetime. But here, in this room, these kinds of beverages are treated like a commodities that anyone could get.

While everyone was casually talking to each other, the young woman entered the room in an elegant manner. But even she and acted elegantly, for most of the men in the room, they could only see her mature and sexy charms. Every sway of her body made them feel like watching the most erotic dance a woman could do. In their minds they're already stripping her naked fantasizing her do many things.

But none of them showed it. None of them even looked at her eyes directly. Of course its not because of strength. Its also not because of talent. To be honest, the young woman is considered an average cultivator in God Realm. Then why?

It's because of her background.

The maid in the room is also a beauty. She has the charms of mature and ripe woman. Her body, movements, fragrant smell could also incite many things in the mind of men, but none of these people dared to do anything to her. From the looks of it, most of the younger generation here has a certain status. Then why aren't they doing anything to the maid?

That's because the maid is a Heavenly Demi-God. A rank that is step away from becoming a God. Understanding this, one could easily imagine what kind of background someone must have to have a Demi-God as a Maid!

After the people in the room greeted and congratulated her for becoming an Immortal Lord, the meeting started.

"First, give the detailed report about everything that happened outside."

A strict looking young lady stood up. From the looks of it, she's probably at the same age as the young woman.

"Lina reporting to young miss."

The young woman nodded.

"This world called Earth has exceeded our base expectation." Lina said while showing everyone the information she gathered using a hologram. "From what we first thought, a lower world from a lower plane would only manage to open the fourth meridian after almost a month. But now, as you can see, its only been no more than ten days since we gave them the cultivation techniques, but there are already eight hundred-plus who managed to unlock their fourth meridian."

When the others heard this, they were amused and became even more interested.

"As you all know, out of seven billion people, we chose 1.5 billion humans who we thought would have a higher chance of unlocking more meridians and would be able to reach higher heights. Among all of the chosen, only a little more than 500 million managed to pass the first test. And only a little bit more 90 million passed the second test."

The first test was when the 'chosen' entered the dark place for first time. When they were lead to the lights, and saw the lights in the forms of humans dancing--- watching those lights would hypnotize everyone, make them dance and unlock their hidden potential. Once the potential of a person satisfied them, they would be considered passed.

The second test was the pressure one would feel after they chose a cultivation technique. No matter what they chose at that time, they would receive a huge pressure on their mind, soul, and body. This would test their perseverance, endurance, and overall capabilities. Like the first test, if the strength of their mind, soul, and body reached a certain level--- and if their perseverance and endurance are strong enough---- they would be considered as passed.

Once they passed, their chosen cultivation would be imprinted on their minds.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

If they failed, then, they would forget everything that happened in the dark place. The questions, pyramids, cultivation techniques--- for these people they would wake up feeling like they had the weirdest dream ever. After a day or so, all the things that happened would be completely erased.

Meaning, among the 1.5 billion people, only about 90 million of them still remembers and learned the cultivation techniques and their weird experienced inside. This number would even become more lower and lower, until only very best remains.

"90 million... I, to be honest, expected the number be a lot lower than this." says a guy with bushy beard.

"Actually my estimation was only 50 million." says a lady with a short hair.

"Did.. did we lower the standards?" with a frown, a guy with a gentle looking face asked.

Hearing this, all the people in the room looked at Lina. Seeing this, Lina kept her calm and show them the data of all the 90 million people. She also released the required standards for a person to qualified as a pass. After that, she smiled and looked at the young woman sitting in the center.

"Please inspect them as you wish."

Seeing that she already provided some evidence, no one doubted it anymore. But now that they confirmed that all the informations are correct, they became even more aware of the situation. Amused and interest can be easily seen on their faces.

"This world really did exceeded our expectations!"

"If we properly did this, then maybe, nurturing good seeds could be a possibility."

After more discussions, the meeting continued.

"Among those remaining," the Young woman suddenly voiced her thought. "How many of them managed to open their first meridian, and also the numbers of those who already opened their fourth?"

"Reporting to young miss, there are tens of thousands people who already opened their first meridian within ten days. So base on my calculations, there should be at least thirty to fifty thousand of these people within the month."

The young woman nodded. And Lina continued.

"About those who opened their fourth meridian, their numbers are only a little bit more than eight hundred. Interestingly, the hundred fifty plus of these people came from just one country. Its a country called China. Most of the country in this world only has twenty to fifty people who opened their fourth meridian. The closest to china would be some of the countries in a continent called Europe. Of course there are also countries who doesn't have someone that opened any meridians at all."

The look of the people in the room got even more interested. But before they could ask or speak anything, Lina already continued.

"Based from my researched, this country called China already discovered cultivation long ago. Some of their ancient literature included some description of people who managed to unlock more than six meridians, and some of these people are described as people who exceeded the realm of mortality and managed to become one with the Law."

The guy with the gentle face frowned.

"You mean--" before he could continue, the lady with a short hair already said it.

"Immortals existed in this lower world?"

After couple seconds of silence, the room became rowdy with all having small discussion if its actually possible. Most of them doubted though. When the young woman raised her hand slightly, all the people instantly turned quiet.

"Let her finish first." The she nodded at Lina urging her to continue.

"It took me a while but I managed to make a detailed analysis about whats with this country. Apparently even though they have some records of Immortals existing there, these immortals didn't do much. Some of them thought some people about martial arts and cultivation, but only the most basic of it. Most of these immortals practically waited for their lifespan to end here. That means, this country is just a graveyard. But some of the civilians of ancient times, managed to discover some of their legacy. Unfortunately though, without a proper guidance, these people could only try and understand some of it."

Everyone listened intently.

"From the records, I could only assume that the highest cultivator only managed to opened their five to seven meridians, but those people are considered rare. Years after years, generations after generations, the country called China has now only a few cultivators left. Some of the hidden families are still practicing Martial arts and cultivating, but the best they could achieve is open their two meridians. Some of the old people only manage to open their third before they died."

The young woman then nodded.

"That means they already have some basic knowledge about cultivation, and some of them even have some foundation." satisfied the young woman asked another question. "What about this Europe then?"

"Europe is quite interesting." Lina started. "The way they cultivate is the same as Qi refining method. But they just didn't focus on their Qi's but also their mind and soul--- quite the same really. But they don't call it Qi, but mana instead. And the way to manifest this 'mana' is called 'magic'. The people who uses magic are called magician."

"What about the others?" asked the lady with short hair. "This China and this Europe aren't the only places where self cultivation was in practice, right?"

"Of course not." Lina said while gently smiling. "For the other countries, they learned it by some kind of religions, for the others, it was because of their practices in their tribalism. For some, it was because of their culture. There are also people who didn't practice any kind of cultivation but managed to surpass their body limits by repeatedly pushing their selves. Like some people, who they call athletes. There are also other kind of people as well, but these are the majority."

The people in the room kept discussing the things that happened and the people involve in whats gonna happen. They planned and organize the things that should be prepared for the upcoming events. Specially since this planet called Earth has exceeded their expectations. To be honest, they couldn't help but be glad since the project looks promising, but also kinda annoyed since they're going to be more busy than it has to be.

After a couple minutes of discussion, their topic went to a different direction.

"And so," The young woman asked while looking at Lisa. "how long do you think would number one take to unlock his sixth meridian?"

Lina showed a hologram displaying a picture of a young man in his early twenties. Base from the structure of his facial expression, he should be a chinese with a handsome face that most of the young ladies would find very attractive.

"Base on my calculations, it shouldn't take him a month to do that." Lina calmly said. "After all, even before we gave him a proper cultivation, he already unlocked three of his meridians. He was on the verge of unlocking the fourth actually, if we did not forcefully closed those meridians so he could train it again, he probably opened his sixth."

"This kind of talent is amazing," the guy with gentle face smiled. "Specially since we're talking about a person from a lower plane here."

"Interestingly, from what these documents saying, his being ostracized by his family and almost everyone? Why?" asked the lady with short hair.

"Because they thought he's not talented, impotent, and lazy to the point that everyone practically wanna throw him away." Lina said. "But the truth is, he was just pretending weak, because he thought everyone around him are weak and boring. And he's right. Even the elders of his family aren't even enough to satisfy him in a proper fight."

"Enough." said the young woman. "I'm not interested in what kind of background or story this guy has, I want the exact estimation on when he would unlock his sixth meridian."

"Seven to ten days from now." Lina answered seriously. "Before the end of this month, based on their Earth's Calendar."

The young lady became silent for a moment, then after finalizing her thoughts, she said, "then, at the end of this month, we're going to open the first floor of the Tower of--"

Before she could even finish what she wanted to say, an unfamiliar voice interrupted her.

"Wait, wait! Are you crazy?"

Everyone in the room looked at the certain corner of the room. And there, they saw a young man crouching like a bandit, and eating some of their desserts like a monster. Seeing this, everyone became alert and ready, since they don't know the guy, and they didn't even noticed when he appeared. They were sure, no one was there before!

The young woman frowned, and looked at the maid standing behind her silently. Since she's a Heavenly Demi-God, she should have notice him earlier, then why did she stayed quiet?

Looking at the people looking at him, he became somewhat shy and decided to finish swallowing his food first before he talks. After that, he stood up, removed all the crumbs in his shirt, then walked elegantly towards them like nothing happened.

"Who are you?" asked the young woman.

"Well it doesn't really matter." the young man answered. "But, if you really wanna know, well... the people in my department calls me by my surname, Mendoza. So you can call me like that as well."

"Department?" the young woman frowned. "What are you? Where did you come from?"

Mendoza smiled and answered innocently.

"I'm a police."

"Whats a police?" asked the young woman.

Lina looked at the young woman and whispered.

"They're the civil force of a country, and responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order."

A police from Earth? Then how the fck did he got in here?!
