It’s been a while. I'm a bit older than two and a half years old now. A lot has happened since my Mana Awakening and realizing that I reincarnated into a Novel. No, this world isn’t just some Novel. It’s too detailed, the people I’ve met are all real, yet it’s the same world as the book that I was reading when I died.
Now, normally people would kill for the experience of being able to reincarnate into a world that they have all future knowledge of. Hell, I might even be on that list as well. Plus, who wouldn’t love to be born into a rich family that has status? And on top of that, into a world with MAGIC! I mean, it sounds Amazing.
But there lies the problem. This world only sounds amazing. It’s quite awful to be born into. Now onto the most glaring issue. This world is doomed, A huge continental war is about to break out, and the winning nations are going to fight against each other.
Now that alone doesn’t sound completely awful, considering a World War was already happening in my past world. But it gets worse after humans are done killing each other we’re going to face the Higher Races.
And what are the higher races, you might be wondering. It’s as you think, Demons, Angels, Asuras, Titans, Dragons, and more. Now dealing with one of those is an issue, but dealing with an entire alliance of these races is suicide.
Each and every single one of them is stronger, including newborns. Not only are they stronger since birth, but without doing anything at all, they grow stronger than most humans. Take Dragons, for example. They’re born at G- Rank. Meanwhile, humans are born at K- rank. That’s a fifty-point difference. It doesn’t sound like much until you discover that strength difference can be compared to an above-average fully grown adult and a newborn in my old world. And the Physical aspect of it is one of the smaller issues.
They all naturally have a higher “Potential” than Humans. Humanity's average “Potential” at the start of the book is at C+ Rank, but that will change once the main character reaches his Third Year at Rhaton University. Humanity’s average “Potential” will rise to B+, which sounds incredible and something that will make a difference until you find out that every single dragon, even the weakest, has at least S- Potential. And from what the book made it sound out to be is that the Dragons aren’t even at the top of the food chain.
It’s doomed, isn’t it? Some of you are probably thinking, “Why are you worrying at all? The protagonist will destroy them all with his plot armor.”
Spoiler.
He doesn't.
I thought the same thing until I encountered some assholes who were spoiling the book either online or in person. Now at the time, I was pissed since I had barely just gotten into book two. But now I’m grateful for those assholes. If it weren’t for those assholes, I’d probably be thinking
Humanity’s victory is in the bag, so I’d leave everything to the protagonist while I hide in my family’s territory. But now, thanks to all those assholes, I know that Humanity losses.
Moving onto what’s been happening for the past two years since it accounts for this. I had to figure out in what period of the novel I was in and which kingdom I was born in while also trying to assess my family’s and my brother's power.
Thankfully I was born before the novel took place, quite a few years before. I was born in the year 80 of the Iktul Calander. The novel mentioned that Iktul was the most powerful empire before the invasion. But they fell due to Lower races fleeing from the Higher races. And a powerful organized army of Higher races coming to slaughter the escapees and to create a foothold in this world and if they could conquer it. It didn’t go into much detail about why only the Iktul Empire was affected due to the invasion, but it’s pointless to know now. This new World Calander was made as a timer of sorts to show all of Aeris the impending danger that was coming.
After the lower races Escaped from the Iktul Continent, they fled worldwide. Some reached some of Humanity's territories, but the Kingdoms and Empires repelled them. The Lower races, which I would call Elves MoleMan, and Giants, suffered heavy losses due to lack of food, Attacks by Humanity and the Higher races, attacks from monsters at sea, and attacks from nature.
The Elves, who in this world are known as the Liikol’Ner Clan, are said to have lost eighty-six percent of their clan members who arrived in this world. Meanwhile, the Giants, known as the Miekrt, lost seventy-three percent of their population. The exact number of MoleMan, who are known as the Ghilverst that died is still somewhat in the air, but it’s believed that they lost between forty to sixty percent of their population. Their losses mostly happened at the beginning of the war since once they burrowed tunnels underground, they could escape safely. But any tunnel that was found had every Ghilverst slaughtered.
The exact number is unknown because humanity hasn’t encountered them once after they escaped from Iktul. The numbers came from the Giants and the Elves as they’re in an alliance, but Humanity’s not exactly sure which is correct. It’s believed that the MoleMan are somewhat similar to dwarves in blacksmithing. If it’s true, it would be incredible.
Now onto the importance of these three races. Humanity must join their alliance, and the sooner, the better. I had read up to the Khulit year 100 which the protagonist was in his third year of Rhaton University, and the infighting between Human empires had just begun. It seems that they knew Mana would become more abundant and that Humanitys Potential would be able to reach higher than before. All the remaining neutral City-States were absorbed by one of the four Empires. The small Vassal Kingdoms were also absorbed right before the war broke out, leaving humanity into four factions spread out into three continents.
War broke out while the Higher races were allowed to bring in some heavy hitters due to the Systems restrictions being lessened.
And due to these events, the Alliance of the other races also feel. The Higher races targeted them before turning their eyes onto humanity, seeing as we were divided and they alone couldn’t last forever against the Higher races. This time I need to find a way to enter Humanity into the alliance somehow and prevent the World War from occurring. Although the war brought out many incredible talents, it weakened Humanity even more.
Sadly that’s easier said than done. Even though I’m the firstborn son of the Grand Duke, I’ve uncovered some small issues about my position. My name Zachary Zart was never mentioned in the novel anywhere. I was just some nameless character.
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road.
Did my Reincarnation make me into someone who would be worthy of becoming one of the Main Characters? Did the original Zachary Zart die before the novel started? Or perhaps there was never a Zachary Zart in the first place?
Now, why would I be worrying if I simply was or wasn’t in the novel since covering the entire world must have been difficult right? Well, it’s simple my younger Brother was the protagonist's best friend. They were in the same year at Rhaton University and were constantly competing with each other. Not only that, they constantly had classes with one another. My Father had even mentored the protagonist a bit in swordsmanship.
How could I, someone who’s supposedly stronger than my younger brother, not enter Rhaton University as well?
Oh shit, well, there’s one way that I’m not mentioned in the novel. Could it be? I would be in the school year that got slaughtered. Hmmmm… That’s unsettling. Well, that changes some things, but I’m unsure if it’s for the worse or the best.
Sigh, there’s just so much to do, and I have so little time. But what can I do about it? If I just sit here and complain, I won’t even reach the age of twenty in this life.
The Slaughter Princess, huh? Looks like I have to make sure she doesn’t go crazy. Thankfully that shouldn’t be too difficult. But the repercussions of me stopping her and not the protagonist could be bad for his growth. No, that alone isn’t a problem. He’s already failed at saving humanity. If I just let the story repeat itself, he will fail again. I just need to take matters into my own hands, but losing out on someone with so much Potential isn’t something I can allow. I’ll just help him get stronger in other ways.
Now back to what I have to do. Thankfully the novel wasn’t vague in what transpired and caused the Imperial Princess of Ipon the go crazy. From what I recall, the heir of the Rampart family attacked her while she was on a date with her fiance. The novel didn’t mention who her fiance was, unfortunately.
After the Heir of the Ramparts killed her fiance, he kidnapped and imprisoned her for a year on the island. Now onto why the protagonist found this out. The Ramparts Heir was just a complete Psycho who kept kidnapping girls, and when the protagonist entered Rhaton, he went on a date with his childhood friend. Meanwhile, the Ramparts Heir also tried to kill him on that date. Luckily he was able to overpower him.
When the school was notified of the incident, they began investigating him and his family. They discovered that he was the person who had kidnapped the Princess and murdered her fiance along with a lot of other students. The remaining students who weren’t dead were sent back to their families, with the princess returning the following semester.
The book described it as though she had gone completely mad with hatred. Hatred for those of her kingdom who were talking bad about her due to something out of her control and the looks of disgust from the students of other countries. How everyone treated her had become horrible, and she was subject to bullying.
Simply due to that, she held a Tea Party and invited all the strongest students in her year and the strongest from Ipon from the years above her. They all came and drank and ate poison. The casualties alone from the Tea Party were in the hundreds. After that, she simply rampaged as if she had gone mad and began killing any student in sight. This came to an end when my brother and the protagonist came across her and fought her.
Although they were strong, the Slaughter Princess was stronger. They were on the losing end, although being the strongest in their year. The Head Master felt the mana disturbances in the university and arrived at the scene just in time to save the Protagonist. My brother Skylan had already collapsed, and the protagonist was on his last legs before she arrived.
The story didn’t detail what happened to her afterward; besides that, she was handed over to the Ipon Imperial family, and all the students were greatly compensated.
The number of Students that died that day was nearly five-hundred, most at the top of their class.
Still, the reward the protagonist received for completing this “quest” was my Father mentoring him and Ipon and Rhaton greatly supporting him due to his heroic actions.
If there is no Slaughter Princess to stop, I need to find other ways for my father to Mentor him again.
I’m going to be busy. Well, enough worrying about what I need to do in the future. There are still plenty of things that I ought to do now. I’ve already learned most of the Khulit language. Any further would be pointless since I’ll just need to get the Scroll of Bleker. Using it to communicate with the other races will be incredible, but I believe it’ll also help me with Khulit.
Alas, tomorrow will be the day when I can begin learning magic. Mom finally relented since I kept on saying, “Magic, Mama Magic.” I’m unsure if it took so long since she couldn’t understand what I was saying or if it was since I couldn’t enunciate my words properly at the time. Either way, I’m excited. I know I won’t be able to practice swordsmanship for a while or any real physical abilities, but magic is completely different. I needed something new to do.
I already know more about Aeris than most adults would without stepping outside my family's home. Plus, I need to test out how my status works exactly. The novel went into much detail about it, but maybe there’s something I can find that wasn’t mentioned. Speaking of that, I should know my current status before learning magic.

It’s not incredible, but it’s a start. I’ve been bottle-necked at J+ Intelligence and Wisdom for a year now. I’m unsure how to progress, but hopefully, that’ll change tomorrow. Hopefully, some of these Magic books can give me some guidance that’ll allow me to break through. My Physical stats alone have to be the best someone my age can achieve. If I can just become a promising mage alongside a swordsman, I’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
It’ll be good for me to rest now, so when I wake up tomorrow morning, I’ll be in my best form to conquer magic. I’m so happy that I can easily fall asleep in this body. It used to be incredibly difficult for me to fall…
