Races

Luine - A race made out of inanimate objects (glass, wood, metal, stone, fossils, amber, etc.)

The glass-like people are more insular, and are seen as standoffish, even though they aren’t. They tend not to relate to those they don’t know personally with any familiarity, however. They are not the highest caste (Those would be the metals. And those are quite normal-ish, outside of conflict. Very proud. Avoid if they seem agitated. They are culturally expected to express their displeasure however they see fit.)

The Diamond Luines are very few (In the single digits, used to be double digits) and are one of the most dangerous, however, they have low birth rates resulting in a very close-knit community. They refuse to interact with others for fear of conflict and annihilation.

Arduhox - A race that are literally descendants of the ill-advised cross between the Goblins and the squirrel-like race, the Amava (previously prominent war-mongering race of powerful Mages. Which is no small feat.) Something about the heritage of the two races allowed them to successfully have children together. Fierce when challenged about their virtues, magically talented, and extremely intelligent. The Arduhox have a generous, pleasant culture that makes them welcome in most kingdoms. They are unfortunately all conventionally ugly to other races on Relir.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

However, a human from Earth would find them cute.

Funnily enough, the Amava would terrify humans based on looks alone.

Goblins - They look exactly as you imagine, except with as many skin tones as there are colors. Yes, there are tribes and clans with similar skin tones, but Goblins are a race blessed as an exact half in half split of their parent's genes. No dominant or recessive, they take from both, whatever comes out from that merge is what you get (one parent with long nose, another with short nose, creates a normal nosed child. )

They are a highly intelligent and innovative race. In times past they used to also be very physically weak. However, in their many wars with the Gnomes (one which is still ongoing), they genetically modified themselves to become physically stronger. Added to the fact that they drove forward the technological advancement of Relir makes them the most powerful and influential race on the planet.

Gnomes - They look like very short, long nosed and black-eyed humans. They have lots of children in a short interval. They are very cunning, one in a thousand being as intelligent as the average human. One in a million being as intelligent as the greatest geniuses of the Goblin race. They have billions of Children at any point in time. Relir is big enough to make overpopulation a non-issue.

They are smart enough to let the truly smart one's lead.

No politics in their nature.

They enjoy raiding Goblin Lands. Not one land specifically, but wherever Goblins are, they want to do small ‘pranks’ like steal everything that isn’t bolted down very securely, engaging in ‘spars’ with their warriors, of which there aren’t really any. The Goblins dislike war. They are forced to fight regardless.

The leaders of the Gnomes have given up on steering their people away from playing with the Goblins. All evidence suggests a prerogative in their deeply rooted instincts, right next to breathing and sleeping.

Funnily enough, they are perfectly cordial with other races. Even the relatively malignant ones.

Amava - Think Vikings with magic. They're giant squirrels, with gorilla sized arms and hands. They were a savage people. Except they don’t beat you with their prodigious muscles. They whack you with magic. Overtime, after a serious PR run, done by one of their War- Scholars, they imbibed qualities similar to what the Knights of Old England claim to embody, except the Amava are deadly serious about it.

If you want an entire race to single-handedly fight for the rights of some obscure nobody, The Amava are who you call. Nine times out of ten, it’s not worth fighting them over whatever matter they are being stubborn about.
