Chapter 001

Merlin's soul travelled into the World of Phantasia, Continent of Sorceth, near the Kingdom of Ambrose, straight to the body of a young man lying motionless on the grassy land of Great Prairie of Luvos. 

When he regained his consciousness, he saw blue hazy lights with his mind. Even though his eyes were closed, he could tell that he was on a grassy land, with peculiar trees and flowerbeds. 

How? I thought I will be reborn? Shouldn't I need to be in my mother's womb? And this particles seems familiar..... At that instant, his eyes open widely as the information about the world and his new life entered his mind. 

"I am in the world of Phantasia? This world is surely amazing! It has a very dense Mana in the air! Such a wonderful world full of fantasy. There are also different Sentient Races, Elves, Dwarves, and Demons, but this wonderful world just like any other worlds has a dark side..." looking at the converging clouds with flashing angry lights. 

Merlin knew it would rain heavily, and so he stopped himself from eagerly uttering his amazements. "Looks like, I need to leave now and find shelter. Fortunately, God sent to a place with incredible trees." he said as he walked inside at the nearby Lovus Tree. 

A 10 meter tall tree with 3 meter thick trunk and have a hole on its trunk like a door, and had a peculiar arrangement of leaves or the shape of the crown resembling an umbrella. Seemingly inviting any living creatures to take shelter upon the upcoming heavy storm. The Lovus tree was the very appropriate tree for a place such as Great Prairie of Luvos.

Looking around the inside the small hole, Merlin saw nothing but dirt. He walked in and sat in lotus position as his consciousness drifted inside his mind.

Merlin closed his eyes and examined his Mana Pool. "Holy lady in lake! I have an almost infinite Mana!  How did this happened?... Does God gifted this to me?" 

Nodding to himself Merlin could not think of anything else. "That must be the only explanation."

*Boom!* 

The sky thundered as lightning descended, and struck one of the firmly standing Lovus Tree despite the heavy blow of wind. Although, the wind could not uproot it, the tree became an instant charcoal when it was strucked by lightning. 

From the information God provided, Merlin knew that name of the place where he arrived was called, Great Prairie Of Lovus. It was called after the hundred thousand of Lovus trees scattered on the vast prairie. 

Next to the Great Prairie of Luvos was the Kingdom of Avalos, Zinithe Everglades, Kingdom of Drimon, Kingdom of Her'anlian, the Empire of Twin Stars.

Currently, the Empire of Twin Stars and Kingdoms around it had a treaty and at peace for around 77 years already. 

The Great Prairie of Luvos possessed a vast amount of resources, from rare minerals to animals. Even so, no one ever tried to make it their own. Not because it would cause a war, but due to it being a danger zone.

Every day wind would blew violently, and the sky would be covered in dark clouds as it sent lightning down the lands. What it would struck would be very unfortunate. 

From afar, the sight of dark clouds looming over tha Great Prairie of Luvos was very horrific. It was like a hand of darkness ready for destruction. 

These was the reason, why no one ever constructed a city or even a small village within the Great Prairie of Luvos. They were afraid of the storm that every day appeared on it. 

Nature was one of the man's greatest nightmare. 

Meanwhile, inside the Lovus tree, Merlin was looking outside through the holes on the tree. Merlin didn't needed to be afraid of the rain coming inside as the the Lovus tree was like an umbrella with holes on its body. 

"This rain would take hours to stop. Looks like I'm stuck here for a moment. Well then, while waiting for the rain to stop, I'll practice my magic for the time being." 

Merlin stood up and closed his eyes as he focused his senses. A wave of Mana rippled around the certain Lovus Tree where Merlin was, like a serene surface of water that was disturbed my a droplet, but it didn't stretched longer, and it stopped after reaching the end of Merlin's range, about 3,000 miles in radius.

The Great Prairie of Luvos was five times bigger than his range, and so Merlin was currently incapable of scanning the whole Prairie, which was double the area of Twin Star Empire. 

"My Mana Sense shrink in range, but just some more practice and I can return it to 10,000 miles or even wider." 

Merlin observed his surroundings through his Mana sense. There were thousands of animal species inhabited the Great Prairie of Luvos. Some were living in the Lovus tree just like him, then he sensed an animal with sharp claws as it dug holes on the ground and buried itself; Animal which were living underground. And other animals he sensed were living at the one and only lake on the prairie. 

The different animals in the Great Prairie of Luvos greatly amazed Merlin, as he sensed other animals that didn't existed in his previous world, more importantly some of them could use Mana!

Although it was only for simple purposes, like strengthening a certain part of their body, as well as conjuring a simple water sphere to clean themselves. 

But for Merlin, it was all amazing nonetheless. 

As Merlin stood up, he extended his right hand, and a dazzling flame came to life as he did it, followed by crackling lighting, a ball of light and darkness swirling around together like yin and yang, inseparable. 

At the same time, the earth trembled and a ball of rocks converged on the air creating a stone sphere, and finally, a water sphere and sphere made of subtle wind emerged from the air, and all the sphere that he summoned floated circularly on his palm. 

A smile appeared on his youthful face as he saw this marvelous scenery.

God didn't constructed a new body for Merlin. God took his old body from his previous world and sent it to Phantasia, but before God fused his soul to his body, God reverted his body back into his 21th year life and enhanced the attributes of his body as well. 

Furthermore, when God gave him his gift, which was the extremely large Mana Pool, that could also expand as he used magic, it also gave Merlin eternal youth, just like the Witches in the world of Phantasia. 

Merlin released the elements as the fluctuations of Mana in the air disappeared and became serene again. 

"My control over the simple elements still the same. How about the elements of Modern Era." stated Merlin.

Then again, he opened his palm and a glittering gold swirled on his palm, as well as hot CO2, cold nitrogen, oxygen, iron, aluminium, copper, brass, cobalt and many more. All were gathered from the earth and within the air.

"The elements of modern Era is truly amazing. Science it is eh? However, they won't be able to calculate the existence of God, all their calculations are limited to natural things, supernatural things are not included. All their science can create is things that can prolong life, yet could end it instantly. How ironic. Well, that's human nature for you."

*Chirp! Chirp!*

While emerged in his practice, outside the Lovus tree, the heavy storm had come to an end and the sky was clear from dark clouds again. The animals on the prairie had started to come out of their dwelling and hunt for food before the storm return. 

Merlin walked out of the Lovus tree and gazed at the horizon. He felt free and unrestrained. He felt he could soar through the sky like an eagle. 

He breath deeply, and embraced his new life, as he started walking towards his new destination, with mind full of anticipations and ready of what would this new life of him would throw. 

Slowly, Mana started enveloping his body, and when it completely covered his whole body, with a flash, he disappeared from where he stood. 

This is the the start of Merlin's new journey in the world called, Phantasia.
