This is a basic magic system explanation for people who are curious.

The magic system works a bit like this, everyone is born with magic and is able to use 0th tier spells that are only really useful for house work 99% ot the time, only after a few weeks or months of training could commoners achieve a spell of the 1st grade and even if they spent most of their life training it they would probably be able to cast a 3rd grade spells, of course there are exemptions.

Spells go from 0th tier to 10th tier.

0th Tier: For people possessing very little to no talent, It's the tier of magic that is used to complete very simple tasks in life and absolutely anyone can use it, even children.

1st Tier: Anyone can use 1st tier magic with a bit of training, a few weeks, maybe months.

2nd Tier: 2nd tier magic is the common goal of a commoner, many commoners not making it past this tier since it's too much effort.

3rd Tier: Basic magic that can be used since young for those born with a talent for magic (Molly for example) while those without could only reach this by many years of training.

4th Tier: This tier is the norm for apprentice magic casters or nobles who want to enroll in a magic academy course.

5th Tier: The tier of spells most magic casters achieve within their lifetime.

6th Tier: Only the talented amongst the talented achieve this tier of magic, very sought after, most who achieve this level become teachers at the royal magic academy or become renowned magic users.

7th Tier: Achieved by royal mages who dedicate their life to the study of magic, most serve under kings or powerful lords and if not, they are known throughout the lands as almost unbeatable.

8th Tier: The peak of magic that is considered achievable, this is the magic tier legendary beasts use, only few live mages achieve this magic level that being the Imperial mage, the Pope and who knows, maybe even some mysterious mage that has yet to reveal himself.

9th Tier: The highest tier magic ever used by mortal creatures, only a handful achieving it such as the heroes and demon lords.

10th Tier: A magic tier only known to ever be used in mythical legends by god-like beings and those who surpassed life and death, said to be able to warp reality and logic itself.

Spells use up mana which is stored in a person's Mana Core, Mana Pool, Mana Reserves or whatever you want to call it, it doesn't have a fixed name but Mana Pool is the most common way of saying it and the "accepted" word for it.

In order to grow one's Mana Pool there's a few ways, the most common being meditating and training it, others are absorbing elixirs or certain ingredients such as certain plants or mana crystals, the way you absorb them depends entirely on the elixir or ingredient itself.

Some ways of absorbing are drinking, soaking and chewing depending on the elixir or ingredient.

Also incantations for spells are unnecessary, but most mages do them since it makes it easier to imagine and concentrate on the spell thus making it easier to cast and stronger.
