By the time Ezekiel got back to the villa, it was already the break of dawn. Keira had already fallen asleep when Ezekiel entered Keira’s room. He was wearing the work clothes he had yesterday. Fatigue was visible on his face but it still didn’t conceal the handsomeness of his face.
Ezekiel loomed over the sleeping Keira that was hugging a pillow with her mouth slightly ajar. Slow and steady breaths escaped her lips. Ezekiel glanced at the empty bowl beside the bed, and could not help but reveal a smile.
“You manage to finish a full bowl of grapes that was good for two people, even after eating a lot during dinner.”
Ezekiel slightly pinched Keira’s nose. Keira’s face crumpled. She groaned in annoyance before sweeping away the hand of Ezekiel and switching position. Ezekiel let out a small chuckle, subsequently poking her cheek.
“My little glutton.”
…
During the remaining 3 days, Keira spent her days leisurely; eating, sleeping, and watching TV or reading books was still her routine. Ezekiel didn’t get busy during those days. At first, Keira thought that Ezekiel might have encountered a problem in the company, but after meeting the Master that night, it was explained to her that the Master purposely made Ezekiel ‘busy’ by letting Stella escape who Keira thought had already died after Ezekiel told her that the people who caused her the injuries were gone.
‘Wait… That means… Stella was actually tortured for more than a week?’
Keira secretly looked at Ezekiel who was working on his desk in the bedroom and squinted her eyes.
‘Fucking psycho.’
Currently, Keira wondered how the Master would approach her and perform the spell later at night. The same method could not be applied again since Stella was for sure dead according to the Master.
Keira: [Will the Master perhaps, directly steal me in front of Ezekiel?!]
System 999: [I don’t think the Master is one who wants to catch attention to herself and this will most likely interfere with the spell. Who knows what could happen if the spell fails Host.]
Keira: [Why are you thinking so negatively? Where did my cute Elly go?]
System 999: [I’m just stating the possible scenarios Host.]
Keira: [My Elly does not talk this rigidly! Who are you and where did you take my cute Elly!]
System 999: [ (・∀・) ]
System 999 concluded that its Host really has some problems in her head. Its Host would from time to time do this when she was bored. But System 999 still could not believe she was paired with a brain-dead Host.

Keira: [Oh There you are my Elly!]
System 999: [Didn’t you just say that I’m not your Elly Host?]
Keira: [Hehe… What are you talking about, you are my lovable Elly of course, after seeing the stu—I mean ‘interesting’ looking emote.]
System 999: ‘She was going to say stupid looking emote right?!’
Keira: [I’m just excited yet nervous about tonight.]
System 999: [Don’t worry Host. I believe that the Master will succeed! (≧∇≦)/]
Keira: [Yes yes, because if not… haha I wonder what will become of me if I were to wait another year locked in the majestic cage that Ezekiel made.]
Keira’s only chance to escape is tonight and no other date. If she were to miss this day, there was no guarantee of what will happen one year later. Maybe the Master would vanish or maybe her sanity would not make it before then. That’s why Keira is just spending her time like she was not planning anything. She didn’t even need to distract or do anything to Ezekiel. The Master told her to stay put and she will.
That’s what she’s good at anyway—doing absolutely nothing.
Just imagining being locked up for more than a year is simply terrifying. How stifling would it feel only being allowed to pace around a small room. Sure, Ezekiel might grant her some small freedom by then, but Keira was certain; that small freedom pertains only to allowing her to freely roam around the house. He might even still keep the chain around.
That is a scenario that Keira would never agree to happen to her. She didn’t want to be locked up like a dog, waiting patiently for its owner to arrive with a literal leash in a form of a chain keeping her in place. Even a sloth, like Keira, had some standards too. Maybe someone like Stella would want that to happen to her.
Speaking of Stella… Keira felt bad for her. She could see that Stella deeply fell in love with that sinister male lead. Keira didn’t know how Stella fell in love with Ezekiel again after she had already left him in the first place to elope with that person in C city. She didn’t even have a clue why Stella was beside him when Keira bumped into Ezekiel in the lobby.
‘Ugh… I don’t want to think about ‘that’ embarrassing scene.’
Keira genuinely did not know why she slapped the male lead across the face. Maybe due to the fact that Leal and Ezekiel looked so similar, her heart acted before her mind could catch up to how ridiculous everything is. ‘I mean, how could Leal come to this world anyway? Leal should still be home waiting for her watching over her comatose body.’
Anyways, Keira just wanted whatever the Master plan to succeed so she could avoid the worst-case scenarios and face the next world with the current experience points she has and not be broke!
‘So Master! I pray that you will arrive on time later and safely do the spell.’
…
As the sky grew dimmer, Keira was secretly getting anxious and nervous. She felt extremely restless but had to pretend nothing was on her mind. To distract her thoughts, Keira just jittery ate some snacks to cover her tense appearance.
Keira looked at the male lead, who was still in the same position since earlier. Aside from eating together and teasing her from time to time. Ezekiel just looked at the screen almost the entire day, only at night does he excuse himself. Keira believed that this was Ezekiel's way of showing that he was holding himself back while she was still injured.
‘Will the Master come when Ezekiel leaves? What happens if Ezekiel does not leave? Will the Master find another method of distraction? What if it would not fool Ezekiel and only orders his subordinates? What is the Master actually planning?’
AAAAAHHH. Keira was mentally going insane from the nervousness. She is typically confident and cool-headed but only this time did she feel nervous as the plan is not only executed by herself, but she had to rely on an entire stranger her life! And that person did not even properly discuss her plans with Keira and just told old stories about how she acquired the book from her old man.
‘And I have to rely on that person to guide my defenseless soul.’ Keira remembered the stupid laugh that the Master gave her while patting her shoulder and she felt herself wanting to cry.
