After exiting the Monalisa and inn, Shad did not go home but walked around in the populace district.
It was not that Shad could not afford to pay for a carriage to transport him where he was going, It was only that he preferred walking with his own two legs.
As an assassin, he subconsciously feels truly safe when walking rather than using a carriage or any other type of transportation device.
After his reincarnation in this new world, Shad had subconsciously developed this new mindset where his own fate must rest within his own hand no matter the occasion.
This was a feeling he could not overlook, as it would make him feel like he was being controlled or manipulated by a greater force. Even though using a carriage to travel in a big city can get him done things faster and a less amount of time, he still would not use it. As it would cause some uncomfortable feelings to arise within him as though someone else was in control, which is why he won't use it unless he was going somewhere really far that required him to do so.
It was something that he hates more than anything, being manipulated. he likes to be in control and His own fate must rest within his own hands.
After a few hours of walking in the populace district and hopping from one shop to another, he had accomplished everything he was supposed to do.
By this time, the sky slowly became dark as the sun slowly faded away. the shadow of the night was like a devouring beast as it consumed the last bit of sunlight and engulfed the whole world with darkness.
At this time, his appearances had already changed of that of the fourth prince, he was wearing a small bamboo hat and was making his way to the rendezvous point.
However before he could even make it there, he felt like he was being followed.
' they have already found me before I can even make it the location I gave Monalissa. they truly deserve the rank of silver level assassins.' thought Shad as his continued walking as though there was nothing suspicious.
Shad did not know how many people were following him. Even though it was night, the entire capital was lighting up as there were magical lamps in every houses and shop. Not only that, there was a lot of people walking around as well. while they might not know his identities because the bamboo hat that covered his face, the people that were following him surely does.
As of now, Shad found himself becoming very interested in the people that were secretly following him. Even though some of them might be stronger than him in terms of rank, his spiritual force had already vastly surpassed most 5th class mage.
Shad stood for a few seconds as he looked at his surroundings, there was this shallow smile on his face as though he was a cat that was about to play some hide and seek game with a group rats from the sewer.
After a few seconds, he continued making his way to the populace district. From the external point of view, Shad seemed to be walking aimlessly. However, his spiritual force was spread out, coordinating his every action.
Even though his movement or speed was not fast, anyone who was following would realize that each change of direction and each movement forward or backward that he made was one that was completely unexpected and would catch them off guard.
If the assassins that were following him were just a bunch of newbies, they would have lost sight of him a long time ago. However, they did not which proved that they were a bunch of capable individuals.

Still, it did not bother Shad in the slightest that he could not shake them off because his aim was not to shake them off but to find out how many assassins were after him and he had just accomplished that.
Truthfully, the assassins that were following him had already cried out bitterly to the point of vomiting blood. When they saw the assassination request in the Chronos Organization, they had accepted that mission in a heartbeat.
In their opinion, all they had to do was kill a 3rd class mage. Even though the person putting that request made it to a silver level mission and above, they thought that it was a waste of money. the price of a silver level mission and a copper level mission was like heaven and earth, and this mission was the easiest of them all because of the knowledge that the fourth prince never goes out with his bodyguards.
Even though, the target was the Fourth prince of the mighty Djage Empire and also the most beloved son of the Empress, someone who the imperial family values greatly. he was someone that the Empress pamper greatly and treating him as though he was a part of her. Even though he was considered as the champion of the masses or commoners, they did not care because they are assassins and that's what they do.
If the fourth prince were to be successfully assassinated, who could imagine how furious and saddened her majesty would be as well as the imperial family?
The people who put on that request must be some powerful people because the people that are actually capable of taking the fury of His Majesty the Emperor, were few.
However now, everything is different. they truly want to kill that bastard out of hate. the actions of that bastard were completely beyond common sense.
when they believed that he was going to move north, he would suddenly change directions. he kept on changing his directions for no reason and at the random.
they could be considered top-level assassin and they tracking abilities were top notch. And yet, in merely two hours, they had made several mistakes in following that bastard. not only that, that bastard almost made a tour of the whole populace district without entering a single shop or store. He only stood in front of them for a minute before going to the next.
Even though they were warriors, they started to get tired a little of walking around aimlessly following him. they became depressed to the point of insanity. if there wasn't a lot of people in the streets, they would have jumped and grabbed that bastard in the neck and ask: you little bastard! why are you walking around aimlessly without a fucking destination? not only that, you fucking visit the same place more than three times, can you fucking going inside one of them instead of looking at them like retarded. don't you know that you are fucking made it hard on us, some of us haven't eaten yet?
Unfortunately, they couldn't do that. Sometimes they even suspected that this son of a bitch had found them out. However, they quickly threw that idea on the back of their heads. they were silver level assassins and it was not easy to spot them unless that bastard was stronger than them.
After playing with them for more than two hours, Shad walked for a bit before suddenly backtracking and turning to another path.
Soon, he made it back to a dark alley where there was nobody. this place was the least visited place in the populace district and also the most insecure place during the night, not even the imperial guards would come to that place not to mention regular citizen.
Once he arrived in that alley, he felt several chilling aura locked onto himself. there was this boundless killing intent directed towards him.
Shad only laughed, feeling very pleased with himself. he knew that the people that were following him had truly become mad after following him that long.
Within the shadow, someone spoke out urgently. " Boss, this is the perfect place. what are waiting for."
" Perfect, on my signal, we all attack him together. do not miss this chance and don't finish him up quick, I want to make this brat suffer for making me walk around the whole populace district like a clown." answered another masked man that lied on the roof one of the houses next by the alley with his eyes filled with killing intent and hatred.
As for Shad, he just stood there waiting for them to attack him.
" Like a bunch bugs, your persistence is matchless and even surpasses most bugs. so what are you waiting for, are you going to attack me or do you want me to make the first move?" said Shad after spending more than fifteen seconds in the alley.
Instead of getting answered, Shad saw several masked men in black clothing akin to a bunch of crows descended from the skies. Before they even reached the ground, tens of sharp small flying daggers shot straight towards him. the flying daggers were whizzing through the air as they emitted a cold radiance.
"Here I thought that you were going make me come get you," Answered Shad as his body was enshrouded with a transparent blue shield also known as mana shield.
