Introduction to the world

"Has the sequence started?" a voice in a dark room asked.

"Yes Protocol: Eventide is a go, there was a hiccup requiring the subject to manually initiate to truly begin though.

"He better start it soon or you wont escape punishment, now give me the details of the other subjects."

Eventide… was the name of a newly born world it had came into existence about 400 million years ago.

The world was mostly land with about 40% of it being water. As for what it looked like, well, there are two landmasses both separate from each other by tens of thousands of miles of water in between them on one landmass a human empire.

As for the humans living on the planet they were not your normal humans.

Reason being for their abnormality was that eventide was a world that the days lasted way longer than usual about 80hrs was the time it took for the sun to do a full circle here, and because of this the humans and animals on the planet were just fundamentally different and could stay awake way longer.

Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.

As for the empire it had been around for about 2000 years and was more prosperous than ever before it currently had over 3 million residents in the main city alone, it was not always this way though a few hundred years ago the emperor Arthur, was just a king and had many neighboring kings.

Arthur though, was ambitious to say the least. He wanted to be emperor and after many years of making plans he set it into motion.

One after one the neighboring kingdoms fell into ruin. Some from mutiny, others from waring with others. All of this schemed and set up by Arthur himself and at the end he brutally crushed the last kingdom before announcing himself emperor.

And now that hundreds of years have passed the empire is even stronger, with massive development in magic and the army ever increasing.

Now as for the other side of the ocean where the other landmass was it was the polar opposite, there was no kings or queens no empires. All there was is forests, mountains, and rivers but there was one thing about this continent, a lone human who had no idea how he had even ended up where he did or who he even was.
