Hey everybody. Feels good to say that I'm back. One last set of announcements before Vol 2 and the synopsis is at the bottom.

Scheduling + Backlog

I kinda failed, miserably, at my goal to create some backlog, but I will still be posting on a schedule now. You can catch new chapters every Sunday at gmt -5 during the summer and gmt-6 during the winter, starting today! I must say that this is kind of a weird startup time since college is rolling around and I'm on a pseudo vacation in two weeks, but that won't stop me from posting chapters! I need you guys’ comments and favorites to motivate me to write more.(Writer's block hurts)

The Glossary has been updated and expanded. I will continue to add to it, but if there's anything you want to see added let me know!

Prologue

Volume 1 Prologue isn't coming back:(

I just couldn't make it work, and leaving it null gives me more room to write stuff in the future. If you had the chance to read the prologue before I scrapped it, uhhh, boom! You just forgot it all.

A chrysalis is a wonderful thing. It serves as a catalyst for great change, change that is both beautiful and terrifying. Kyraa undergoes a change of her own within her chrysalis, one that goes beyond her body. She fights a mental battle, one against her deepest fears and doubts. Will she conquer her own mind? Will she lose? Or is there another way out? Only time will tell.

Outside of Kyrra's small world, her children face a different kind of change. Deprived of their leader, they must survive without the guidance they've depended on since they were born. Someone has to take charge and lead the colony in Kyraa's absence, lest they fall to ruin.

As the humans close in, the pressure mounts. The colony must grow, learn, and fend off relentless attacks while struggling to adapt to their new reality. Every decision, every skirmish, and every sacrifice becomes a test of their strength and unity. At the same time, Kyraa's mental battle reaches a crescendo. Memories of past failures and fears of future uncertainties clash with her desire to protect her offspring and fulfill her self-appointed destiny.

Will the Swarm emerge from these trials stronger and more united, or will the chrysalis of conflict shatter their fragile existence?
