Chapter 2 - Yurilia

Author note:  If you dont want to read about all the classes that is fine.

I could remember that the military that was co producing the game made a clear order to only have one life so the game would feel more "Real", when you are fighting another player, a beast or even fall a great distance u feel scared for your life, just like it was real.

Blade master was the first class, expert at weapon handling, could wield any kind of weapon which gives several unique abilities for its weapon type. Heavy armor could be worn as easy as feather, just like a 2 handed sword and mace. Much health, high armor value, surely a good pick, but it was not my kind of style. There was also the sub classes, High damage, but not agile at all, if mastered correctly one successful swing could end a fight in seconds. Melee class.

Second class was Alchemist. Alchemist class was know for its poisons or flask to cripple foes once abilities. There is no end to what kind of flasks one could make with the right, talent and subclass.  Not much health or armor value, but really agile and the ability to boost several abilities and attributes of himself or teammates, even lowering the opponents attributes is a good choice. Medium damage, but effective for support. Melee and ranged class.

Third class, Spellslinger. Typical mages, master of arcane magic. Just as the alchemist the potential of abilities are endless. Low armor value and health, not as agile, but the skills like teleporting a short distance sure make up for that. Making mana shields for protection is also a way to boost once survivability. High damage with strategic spells and combos. Melee and ranged class.

Forth class is the Assassin. Master of shadows and deceit with venoms poisons which is applied mostly to blades to cripple the foe.  Low health, low armor Value, but most agile character. The opportunity of stealth at once disposal is highly useful in solo play and spy missions. Deadly and swift damage from the shadows, even the strongest armor has no say against the penetrating power of an assassin. Melee class.

Fifth class called the Elementalist. Master of all elements, fire, water, air and earth. Elementalists have the power to do harm and heal. Medium armor value and health, with medium agility. Fire is destructive power to burn the flesh of foes, Water is the healing power, air is agility and earth is CC( Crowd control= Stop foes in their tracks. ) Both melee and ranged.

Sixth class, archers. Archers use bows for damage, with a really good aim, tracking skills and trap making, archers are not to take lightly. Medium armor, high damage, medium health, medium agility.  The damage is all about the ability to hit the target with the arrows. Several misses can cost you your life.

“Choose, wisely” The hud said with a monotone robotic voice. It took me about 3 hours to pick a class that would represent the rest of my life. The assassin!

Everything around me slowly turned dark and the hud disappeared, suddenly I was transferred to the starting zone of Felia called Yurilia.

When I opened my eyes everything was bright again, only this time there was a city here, tall towers, everything made from bricks and wood, horse caravans and everything out from an old medieval city, with a bit of fantasy applied to it. Walking, breathing, looking around was all the same as in real life. I pinched myself to feel pain and it worked. Everything is just as it was. The colors was really bright, I was used to the usual smoggy air. I noticed brown leather clothing, with a leather helmet on me. This is the lvl 1 gear for assassins I thought to myself.

“Yo! You there, come over here!” a tall man with a katana and straw hat called me over to him. I point at myself as he nods. I approach him.

“Don’t be shy man, im here to help you! As a bodyguard of the Guardian Angels, my duty is to help a fresh spawn like yourself!” The man smiled and slightly bow his straw hat, but he seemed a bit scary.

His name was over his head as “Nort Anderson, recruit of the Guardian Angels”

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“N-nort Anderson, recruite of the Guardian Angels?” I could see his name, but what was the Guardian angle thing?

“Nice to meet you, Sky Farrow! Follow me I will show you where to go!” Nort started walking and I followed him.

“Why do you help me?” I wondered.

“As a member of the Guardian Angels it is our duty to make sure you will not die within 30 minutes of the game, once you are dead, you are dead, but I wont let that happen, ok?"

We walked towards what is called a quest giver as I remember my teacher thought me in class.

“This is your first quest, once you started the game you automatically get a quest to talk to this woman to get your starting weapons, then you have to kill some boars.” Nort points at the woman.

I walk up to her.

It was an old woman, looked like a nun from the church, probably from the one I saw on the way here.

“Young assassin, please take this and help me with some bloodthirsty boars that have been ravaging the farm north of here, I will help you with my healing” The nun walks fast towards the location as me and Nort follows.

“Listen here Sky, I will not help you in fights unless you are at the brink of death, my job is to keep you from dieing, not aid your fights, I can give you tips on how to move and such, but I am a blade master, not an assassin.”

This was the first time I have heard Nort in a more serious tone.

“ I will not die that easily” The daggers I got from the nun were sharp and shiny, my father used to show me how to fight with daggers before he went to war.

We went out of the city and the land was filled with green beautiful fields with rivers, cornfields and farms. After a short walk we could see the farm and the boars.

“Go ahead Sky! I will heal you if you are damaged!” the nun held some holy beeds as she started to repeat some kind of mantra.

I saw the boars, my mind was ready. i slowly approached the ferocious beast. I tried to ambush the boar by sneaking behind it, my footsteps were not to be heard at all, even though there were things on the ground that would make noises. I lunged the boar with my 2 daggers close to each other as one sharp edge to penetrate the skin, as I lunged the boar noticed and knocked me back, I got in a hit but the damage was not that great, the daggers didn’t quite connect to his body.

“Bwahahah, what the hell are you doing?! Bwahahah, use your stealth man! Your stealth!” Nort was laughing his as off as I tried to find out how to use stealth. I suddenly felt a lot better as a glowing light surrounded me, it was the nun that healed me.

“You don’t know how to use your spells? Think of the type of spell you have in your arsenal and it will be used, right now your spell is to go invisible, which not only makes u go invisible, but your next successful hit will deal extra damage, which will be increased on how much points you have in Stealth!”

I tried to think of going invisible as hard as I could and before I knew it I was totally transparent, I could see the outline of my body, as well as daggers, but everyone else was blind to my presence.

I snuck around the boar again for my next ambush, this time I jumped and landed with my body on its back as I pierced the dagger through its head.

“Good job, Sky! Now, kill 9 more! Keep using your stealth, that extra damage sure helped you out there!” Nort was cheering me on from afar.

I entered stealth mode, slowly approached the boar, but since my footsteps did not make any noise I tried to move faster and faster, suddenly I was running without making any noise. My speed was really fast as I shoved both of my daggers down the boar’s neck, it died before it knew I was there.

Before I knew it all the boars were dead. Ding lvl 2! New ability, poison.

“Good job Sky, how does it feel to have completed your first quest?” Nort seems proud.

“I got the hang of it after a while, I got lvl 2, how do I use poisons?” I figured to ask Nort since he was here to help, but I don’t know for how long.
