It is nighttime and Maria is at home alone while her lover is at work. Maria is rubbing her pregnant stomach as she reaches for the remote. Maria is eight months pregnant and only two weeks left before her due date. As she reaches for the remote her water breaks and she merely called the ambulance on her smart phone.
Hours later Maria is in labor. Then, a man arrives in the delivery room and immediately comforts the panicked Maria. She couldn’t as her vision was heavily blurry.
"Where are you, Walter?!" Maria asked with tears in her eyes. "I was so scared without you."
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Hearing her lover’s voice, he can Walter kissing her forehead and that immediately calms her down. Then, she puts a faint smile on her face, even though she was in pain.
"We are going to be parents in a little while, Walter." Maria winces.
"Save your energy..." Walter’s voice instructed.
"I know. Walter, if I don't--”
“Don't say that!--”
“I have to, I have to--" Maria says. She had nightmares of this day the day that she will probably die in childbirth Walter always dismiss this claim knowing that she was always scared this time she fears that she was right all along.
"If I don't make it in she does, please... Please..." Then out of nowhere, she starts having contractions again. She screams in pain as she cries. Walter always felt that Maria was right about her dreams but he himself never want to concluded that he has or have to live on without her if nothing goes the way he wants to go.
"I will. I always will. You're my wife and I love you." Walter’s voice reassures. One of the nurses urged the doctor, the one instructing the delivery, that it was time that Maria should give birth. As a prompted to do so they began the birthing process. 10 hours later, Maria is giving birth to her child.
"Okay, Ms. Boutonnière, I want you to push as hard as you can. This is the last one! Now, push!" Maria pushes a she finally gave birth to her daughter. She collapses as her eyes rolled back to her head. But something is wrong. The baby wasn't crying nor moving. The nurses immediately worked on the baby as Walter rushes over to his newborn daughter.

The baby wasn't responding. The two nurses feverishly tried everything in their power to save her. Minutes later, it felt the inevitable was near. After 13 hours of labor, Maria might have given birth to a stillborn.
But they have bigger problems as Maria has lost too much blood and she was fading fast. Walter rushes over to Maria as she slowly closes her eyes with a smile and face. While Walter was talking to her she couldn't make out what he was saying. She sheds one last tear as she slowly closes her eyes and passes away.
Suddenly, the hyperventilating Maria wakes up in her room with tears in her eyes. She looks around and finds it in her own room pretty much alive but scared to death. It turns out that she was having a nightmare, but if felt so real to her. Just to make sure the frightened Maria checks her stomach she is flat as a board. 10 seconds later, she starts to cry uncontrollably. She was never that afraid in all of her life, since the time she saw a documentary on slaughter houses.
She finally comes down as she looks out the window from her bed in it was raining. She started taking deep breaths as she lies down on her bed. That night, she couldn't go asleep. That morning, Maria is still in her room lying in bed wide awake. She lets out a depressing sigh realizing two things: Walter is still in Uranus aiding the construction of a new metro colony and she has an appointment with the client.
She gets out of bed and gets into the shower, not before she turns on the radio. She takes a cold shower. When she always have a bad dream, she uses cold water to strengthen her nerves and focus her body on the cold freezing water instead of her dreams. She gets out of the shower and puts on her robe.
She brushes her teeth and brushes her silky smooth, medium-length white blond hair. She gets out of the bathroom and goes into her closet. She picks out a tulip patterned two-piece black dress that is sleeveless and come down to her ankles. She sets the dress neatly on the bed trying to get the wrinkles out. She takes off her robe and slips on some underwear.
She puts on some lotion and knee-high black stockings. She puts on the dress and some high heel shoes. She even puts on her favorite kitten digital watch along with her long black coat and grabs her black duffel bag. At that moment she was about to turn off the radio, as she hears an interesting commercial.
“Are you woman between the ages of 21 to 25?" Maria listens to the radio as she was about to turn it off as the commercial continues, “Are sexually active and have sex almost every day the week?" This makes Maria giggle at the infomercial. “Have you been dreaming about giving birth to stillborn?"
This sends shivers down the spine of the frightened woman who is listening to his radio commercial.
"If so, you may need psychological and--" Hearing this makes Maria smacked the radio as it shuts off. She checks her nails to see if she's broken any of them; she didn't. She leaves the room and shuts the door behind her. She walks down the stairs it was about to go out the door until she received a notification on her smart phone. It was from the office, and she couldn’t ignore it.
She would have to swing by and have breakfast later…
