Felix awoke to the sound of shuffling. Slowly opening his eyes, he glanced around the inside of the cave. What he saw momentarily surprised him.

It was a person covered in bloody rags. The face was hidden but you could tell it was a woman by her curves. One of her legs was obviously broken, twisted in an angle a human leg would never be able to achieve. She was clawing her way to the pond in the center of the cave with both her arms and her one good leg.

Felix was confused.

‘How did she get here? How did she break her leg? Who is she?’ thought Felix

“Who are you and how did you get here?” Felix said out loud

Taking off the cover covering her face the woman looked around in confusion until she spotted Felix laying on the ground.

“My name is Thadia, I fell down and broke my leg so I couldn’t get out” responded Thadia

Felix stood up and started to walk toward Thadia.

Pulling ou,t what was evidently a gun, from her pocket Thadia shouted “Stop, don’t you dare move any further”

Felix put up his arms in surrender “woh relax I’m not going to hurt you”

“Who says you won’t, you could just be lying to me.” Replied Thadia

“Relax, please. I just want to help you with that leg of yours, it could get infected”

A look of questioning appeared on Thadia’s face and she obviously hesitated.

“Here, I can look at the leg and you can hold the gun to my head. If I do anything you can shoot me from here to Timbuck two” said Felix as he inched towards the girl and pointed his arms at her leg.

A look of hesitation crossed her face yet again, but finally she replied with an “Ok but you better be real gentle”.

Felix quickly crossed the distance to the girl and kneeled down to look at her leg. He felt the cold feeling of the guns barrel pressing into the side of his head.

“You better hurry it up” shouted Thadia.

“I’m going to have to pick you up and move you to the water so I can wash you up and have a look. Is that ok” replied Felix as he motioned toward the pool in the center

“That’s fine, but if you’re thinking of doing anything I’ll kill you”

With a gentle scoop of his arms Felix took Thadia into a gentle princess carry and started to walk towards the pool. When he was within reach of the pool he set Thadia down with another gentle motion and with a flick of the wrist pulled a undirtied cloth out of his pocket.

“I’m going to have to remove the pants or just rip the leg of the pants, Is that ok” said Felix in the most gentle tone he could muster.

“Again that’s fine but if you do absolutely anything to me I don’t like I’ll blow your brains out” Thadia reminded him by pressing the barrel even harder into his head.

Picking up her legs carefully he proceeded to wriggle free the pants, resulting in a smack to the face with Thadia’s free hand.

“Don’t remove them, just rip the leg”

With a groan in response Felix stopped lifting her legs up. He went to work on the pant leg of the broken leg and carefully ripped upwards avoiding doing any more damage to the fragile leg.

When he was done Felix took his cloth and shoved it into the pool of water instantly soaking it. With careful and gentle motions he used the cloth to wipe away the dirt and bloodstains on the leg, but even with his gentle motions he still got a hefty groan of pain from the lady.

After having cleaned the leg enough to actually get a good look at it, Felix carefully inspected it. It was pretty gruesome and bad. One bone was sticking out and another bone was obviously out of place. The point of exit for the bone was still leaking blood at a steady pace dripping onto the stone floor with a drip noise.

“I’m going to have to set you bones and it’s going to hurt a lot, I’m going to ask you to calmly set the gun down so I can do this” Felix stated his intention to Thadia

A look of displeasure crossed Thadia’s face, and for 5 straight minutes all was quiet.

With an obvious look of annoyance, Thadia set the gun down on the stone floor next to her. Felix took this as a yes.

Placing himself to the side of her leg he carefully grabbed a few key places on her leg and said to her “This is going to hurt, really bad. Try to control yourself or the injury could get worse, or become even permanent. We’re going to do this on the count of three.”

“Ready”

“One”

“Two” and with a quick twist of his wrist and an obvious exertion of massive strength, Felix popped both of those bones back into place. Screaming hysterically for a minute, Thadia finally got back to her senses “WHAT HAPPENED TO ON THREE, ASSHOLE”

“It’s usually better to do it when the person himself or herself is least expecting it because it doesn’t hurt as much” Felix replied in a matter of fact tone of voice

Her face first turned from a look of understanding to a look of anger and pain a second later. “I don’t care that still fucking really hurt” Thadia replied swiftly and then stuck her face into a pool of water, her throat bobbing obviously from drinking from the pool.

When her wet face reappeared, Felix’s heart skipped a beat. With the dirt and grime covering her face he really couldn’t see anything, but as soon as the water washed it all off you could see and feel the beauty radiating off her.

“So anyways what’s your name, I haven’t asked yet” Said Thadia

Quickly coming back to his senses he replied with “oh umm, it’s Felix”

“Well thanks Felix for helping me with my leg, I appreciate it” said Thadia “Can you help me out a bit more? Can you get me out of here and maybe help me with making a crutch?”

“umm, yeah sure. Let me poke my head out and check for any danger first” replied Felix

With that said Felix went over to the hole we he, and presumable Thadia, fell in. with a jump upwards and swift and soft motions he climbed up the hole and poked his head out. Scanning around Felix found nothing out of the ordinary, in fact it was so ordinary he was suspicious, but he got over his suspcions quickly.

Coming back down he walked right up to Thadia and took a kneeling position. “Get on I’ll carry you up”. Thadia raised her arms and firmly grasped onto his shoulders. With the lifting of his legs Thadia came up with him.

Felix almost gasped in surprise for two biggish round globes had pressed into his back, but he held it in for fear of being shot in anger. With a few footsteps Felix walked over to the wall/hole up. “Hold on, It’s going to be a bumpy ride” said Felix as he started to Ascend
