Origins ( chapter 2 )

Origins ( chapter 2 )

And so, over the course of 5 million years ( 5 in the outer world ) Karva taught Damien all she knew, how to fight, human emotions, to read & write, spells, and of course, the origins of Humanity.

In the beginning there was a being, capable of love, hate and all in between. Capable of destroying, of creating. None no why or how he was created but he was, he was simply born from existence itself.

He created the lands, the trees, the seas and all that they would hold, and then, in an act of self-curiosity, created humans. 4 to be exact, Adam, Eve, Seth and Karva. He gave them a simple challenge, resist the fruit for 40 days and they could grasp the seat of god hood, but, if one of them was to touch it, they would all perish.

In the center of the world he crafted, layed a tree, like none other.

It’s stump was grey, it’s leaves blue and on one branch of the tree hung an apple.

It was red, orange, grey, black and green, all the colours man could think of decorated it’s skin.

and it’s leaf

White

For the first 36 days they had resisted, he being proud of them for their resistance and proud of himself for his perfect creation.

But then Eve began to stare at the Apple, for hours upon end before feasting upon the succulent fruit.

Adam and Seth, upon realising, or believing for better terms, that he would not know that they ate it, also took a slice for themselves.

They tried to convince Karva to join them but she refused, believing it to be unrighteousness to disobey their creator.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

On the 40th day they were waiting brazenly to accept their god hood for they believed that he did not see their betrayal.

When he came to bestow upon them the god hood he had sensed the apple within the three and in a moment of pure rage, killed Seth.

Adam and Eve, begging for their lives, were given mercy and cast out to the wastes of the world.

But he did not cast out Karva, for he sensed the good in her heart and bestowed upon her the title of one true god.

That very Karva had been the one in which Damien had spent these 5 million years with.

Although Karva had not known it, and certainly not Damien, was that both of them had fallen in love one another. And all Karva had wanted for Damien once he went back to the real world was to have a good life.

Though Karva could not help it the years inside his head had started to take a turn on him, for the worse.

Believing he would have to lose Karva if he went back to the real world he started to try to find ways to kill his physical body, but alas no way was possible due to his mind and body being of 2 seperate realms that merely operated with one another.

Coming to terms with the fact that he would lose Karva he decided upon a simple descision.

If he couldn’t have her, then no one could.

Using one of the skills taught to him by her, Deus Mutus, which had the ability to temporarily mute the powers of any being of high status, including immortality and magic, muted Karva and beated her to death with his bear hands.

Realizing what he had done in his act of insanity, he so pathetically tried to revive Karva. But alas she had taught him no spells to revive the dead, for it would go against the natural balance of the world.

As he wallowed in despair for another million years in the plane that Karva had created, he came to the realisation that he still had family. The family he loved so much for accepting him for a human, not a monster.

As he neared the time of his awakening he remembered Karva and all that She had meant to him, pledging to himself to live a life of fun, however he wanted.

Even if he had to kill

Even if he had to slaughter

Even if he had to commit genocide

Wage wars

Burn city’s

Any if didn’t matter

one thing did

having fun.

I awake to see a Middle Aged man with long curly black locks and deep blue eyes lined with the aura of a king staring bewildered at me.

It was my Father, Jaques Kilebrin.
