Summary:

Galakaroth Ignifer is one of the first demons to ever exist, born around the time when the True Writer created creation. He originated from Hell, just as it was coming into being. Due to his incredible strength and being the first demon to create hellfire, he was granted the title of Demon King, alongside two other demons, and together they ruled over the realms of Hell.

He was a fiercely competitive man, particularly in combat, though his skills as a king left much to be desired. Eventually, his talents with a blade caught the attention of the True Writer, who recruited him to join his royal guard. However, despite his prowess, it was his actions that would later become one of the key catalysts for the Final War. Following the conflict, he was banished to the unknown realms, and from that point onward, nothing is known of his fate.

Background:

The beginning

From the oldest records found in the True Writer’s logbook written during his first interactions with creation alongside accounts from some of the oldest beings alive at the time, we learn about the origins of Hell. Created as a place of punishment for mortal souls who had sinned in life, Hell came into existence as part of the natural order. Typical beliefs most mortals believe among themselves.

Before the True Writer ever visited Hell for the first time, three powerful demons emerged from the very dust of its creation. They were the first of their kind, ancient beings formed in the depths of hell itself. Among them was Galakaroth Ignifer, a demon who would go on to be known as one of the first demons to ever exist in all of creation.

Galakaroth Ignifer, or Gala as most call him, is a primordial demon born from the oldest sins and emotions of mankind across the mortal planes. Formed from the raw essence of corruption, he was among the first demons to take shape in Hell’s earliest days. It was Gala who first brought fire to Hell, creating the infernal flames that would define the realm for eternity. His mastery over this new force led to the birth of hellfire, a destructive power feared by both demons and mortals alike. Because of this, many demons came to call him the Flame Bearer, a title that would follow him throughout history.

Alongside the other two demon kings, Gala ruled over Hell for a long time until the day the True Writer arrived to observe his creation. According to the logbook, this visit took place after the True Writer had already recruited Royal Guard Momo. Curious about Hell and its rulers, he descended into the underworld, where he soon crossed paths with Gala.

A battle broke out between them, with a wager: if Gala could land a single strike on the True Writer, he would earn a place among his royal guard. Though Gala held the title of king, he had little love for ruling. Many demons resented his leadership, tolerating him only because of his unmatched combat skills. Seeing this as an opportunity to leave the throne behind, Gala eagerly accepted the challenge.

Despite his exceptional swordsmanship, Gala was ultimately defeated. However, impressed by his skill, the True Writer chose to recruit him anyway, allowing him to leave his title behind and take up a new role as a royal guard.

{Head Maid Notes}: “But, of course, the True Writer had to wait a whole month before Gala could actually leave. Turns out, there were rules about this sort of thing, rules that Gala conveniently forgot about.”

“Before stepping down, he had to strike a deal with the other Demon Kings, ensuring that he would never reclaim the throne. And that wasn’t all. There was an old law, one Gala definitely wished he hadn’t overlooked that required any Demon King who abandoned their title to surrender part of their power to Hell itself. In his case, that meant giving up his flames.”

“Now, Gala being Gala, he really didn’t want to do that. So naturally, another fight broke out. And, well… let’s just say it didn’t end in his favor. As a result, he’s now permanently banned from entering Hell.”

“But in the end, both Gala and the True Writer managed to get out before things could escalate any further.”

“A lot happened during that time from what the logbook says, and honestly? I wish I’d been there to see the True Writer’s reaction. The look on his face must have been priceless.”

Sword Skills

While Gala’s demon powers and hellfire were already a serious threat, it was his swordsmanship that truly made him feared. He was a natural with a blade, almost as if he was born for it. By the time he stepped down as Demon King, Gala had mastered every form of swordsmanship from all the mortal realms and even some styles unknown to them.

Learning these forms didn’t take long for him at all. It was as if, the moment he saw a new style, he could instantly understand and replicate it with perfect precision. Not only did he perfect these existing forms, but he also created his own unique style, designed specifically for himself. What made him even more dangerous was his ability to switch between these different sword styles mid-fight with ease, adapting to whatever challenge came his way.

Gala’s swordsmanship was unmatched. His skill was god-like, with each movement of his blade almost looking like a work of art. It was a level of proficiency that no one could rival.

His time as a Royal Guard

Gala would serve as a Royal Guard for a long time, but much like his time as a Demon King, he wasn’t particularly suited for the role beyond his combat skills. When he wasn’t fighting, he either spent his time training with his sword or drinking himself to sleep, struggling to find meaning in anything else.

Fortunately, his strength and ability with a blade kept the peace, even if he didn’t exactly get along with the other realm guards. His only real connection was with Royal Guard Momo. Their bond was forged through countless sword duels, as Momo was the only one who could match Gala in terms of skill with a blade. Despite their differences, the respect they shared in their swordsmanship created an understanding between them that neither of them found with the others.

One night, Gala found himself spending time with a woman who seemed intriguing at first, her name was Ars Gladii. She was elegant and skilled with a blade, but it turned out she wasn’t just a swordswoman. Ars Gladii represented the very concept of swordsmanship itself, an ancient force tied to the art of the blade. She revealed that her goal was to kill Gala.

Without warning, she trapped him in a strange realm. Time in this place was distorted, and she repeatedly killed him, only for the cycle to reset and start again. It was a twisted game of torture, designed to wear him down.

However, Gala wasn’t one to give up easily. Each time the cycle restarted, he grew stronger and more focused. As a master swordsman, he quickly figured out her movements and the patterns in the loop. He began to anticipate her attacks, learning from each death. Eventually, Gala was able to break free from the trap, but instead of killing her, he chose to spare her.

He understood the importance of Ars Gladii being represented as the concept of swordsmanship, and without her, that concept might cease to exist. Instead of destroying her, Gala let her live but made it clear she should never challenge him again.

From that day on, Ars Gladii never tried to trap him again. The fear and respect she had for him were obvious. Gala had proven his skill with a blade, and he was now known as not just a great swordsman, but one of the deadliest beings to ever wield a sword.

Despite Gala’s exceptional skills as a swordsman, his performance in the other aspects of being a royal guard was less than impressive. When it came to resolving conflicts or issues without resorting to violence, he was completely inept. According to Royal Guard Momo, most situations would inevitably escalate into a fight whenever Gala was involved. His tendency to solve problems with his blade, rather than his mind, made him a liability in many situations.

Furthermore, Gala’s people skills were practically nonexistent. He often ignored or lashed out at anyone who tried to engage with him, showing little patience or empathy. His rough demeanor and disregard for diplomacy did nothing to help his reputation among the other guards or the people he was supposed to protect. His inability to connect with others only deepened the divide between him and the rest of the royal guard, leaving him isolated and largely disliked.

Appearance

In his human form, Gala is a tall, muscular man in his mid-30s, standing at 180 cm (5'11) and weighing around 126 kg (277 lb). His dark skin is marked by numerous scars, the most prominent being a massive scar that stretches from his left shoulder down to his right upper leg, a reminder of the many battles he has fought. His short black hair is kept simple, adding to his no-nonsense appearance.

Gala typically wears a long red and black coat that flows behind him alongside a light chestplate, paired with black pants and shoes. A sword sheath hangs at his waist, always keeping his weapon within reach. His attire, practical and battle-ready, reflects his nature as a warrior.

In his demon form, Gala’s appearance changes dramatically. His skin and clothes become one with his scars, as if the marks of his past have overtaken his body. His wings, dark and imposing, emerge, giving him an otherworldly presence that sets him apart from any mortal being.

{Head Maid Notes}: "Gala? Well, he’s hard to miss. Tall, built like a brick wall, and covered in scars like he's trying to collect them all. The big one from his shoulder to his leg? Yeah, that’s the most dramatic. Don’t even get me started on his eyes—there’s a whole story there if you care to listen, but I don’t.

He’s usually dressed in his red and black coat, looking like he’s ready to fight, which, let’s face it, he always is. And don’t forget the sword—he’s never far from it.

When he goes full demon mode, it gets a little intense. His scars become part of his skin, and those wings? Not exactly subtle. But hey, he’s been through enough, so I guess I can respect that. Still, I wouldn’t want to cross him."

Gladius Inferni (The Sword of Hell)

Before Gala received his sword from The True Writer, he was already a force to be reckoned with. Even with a regular sword, his skill was unmatched—his reputation for combat was built on sheer raw ability. But when The True Writer gave him a new blade as a gift, it took his already incredible swordsmanship to an entirely new level. This new sword didn’t just enhance his fighting; it brought out a level of skill and precision that made him even more dangerous. With the sword in hand, Gala became an even greater legend in the art of combat.

Gala was given one of the five legendary Tāwhirimātea swords, the first and greatest creations of the unknown blacksmith. These swords were known for their exceptional craftsmanship and immense power, made from the finest materials in all of creation, and blessed by The True Writer himself. When Gala first received his sword, it appeared to be an ordinary sword. However, when The True Writer told him to give it a name, the sword transformed. As Gala named it Gladius Inferni, the blade changed into a katana, surrounded by an ever-burning layer of hellfire. This new form marked the sword as something far more powerful, tied to Gala's own soul and destiny.

Gladius Inferni is a katana with a fearsome and commanding presence. Its blade is pitch black, forged from an unknown metal that seems to absorb the very world around it. Along its surface, faint, crimson-red veins pulse like molten lava, hinting at the hellfire that courses within. The blade itself is wreathed in an ever-burning flame that does not consume the metal but instead enhances its cutting power, leaving a trail of embers with every swing.

The hilt is wrapped in deep crimson and black cloth, giving it both a regal and ominous appearance. Its guard is simple yet sturdy, designed for function over ornamentation. The sheath is equally striking—made of dark obsidian with ancient runes etched along its surface, faintly glowing whenever the sword is drawn. When unsheathed, the sword emits a low, resonant hum, almost as if it is alive and eager for battle.

His Crimes

Gala’s crimes were among the most severe in all of creation, solidifying his reputation as one of the most infamous figures in history. He was charged with:

* Conspiracy to Release Lordanis: Alongside Mugi, he was accused of plotting to free the greatest evil in existence, Lordanis, an act that threatened all of creation.

* Genocide: His actions led to the destruction of entire mortal planes, wiping out not just civilizations but entire multiverses, erasing countless species and histories from existence.

* Mass Murder: Personally responsible for the deaths of hundreds, all classified as first-degree murders, carried out with full intent and without remorse.

* Acts of Terrorism: His actions spread fear and destruction across dimensions, destabilizing entire realms and plunging them into chaos.

* War Crimes Against Creation: His role in the Final War resulted in unspeakable atrocities, including the annihilation of entire universes, mass slaughter of innocents, and violations of every known law meant to preserve life and order.

When asked for his reasoning, Gala simply stated that he "wanted a fight." With no sign of regret or justification beyond that, there was no hope for leniency. His already ruined reputation with the public made this an easy case, and execution seemed inevitable.

However, a letter left behind by The True Writer, written before his final battle with Lordanis in the Final War, changed everything. As one of his final orders, The True Writer demanded that Gala not be executed but instead exiled. Lady Chihaya, wanting to respect her father’s wishes, carried out the order despite overwhelming public outrage.

Gala was sentenced to exile into the Unknown, never to return to the mortal plane. Since then, he has vanished without a trace.

Public opinion on Gala's sentencing remains deeply divided. Many were outraged, questioning why someone responsible for such atrocities was spared execution. Some speculated that his status as a former royal guard had unfairly influenced the decision. Others, however, chose to trust The True Writer’s judgment, believing he must have known something beyond their understanding.

My own perspective acknowledges that reducing Gala’s sentence was far from ideal. However, the letter left behind by The True Writer suggested a deeper reasoning—one that couldn’t be explained outright. It seemed to imply that the truth was too unbelievable to accept at the time. While some dismissed this as blind faith, others pointed out that The True Writer had always possessed knowledge beyond even those who could see the future. He understood the story of creation from beginning to end, which led some to wonder if exile was truly the right decision in the grand scheme of things.

Years have passed since Gala's disappearance, and even during Dark Yourupt’s rampage across creation, few seem to dwell on his fate. Whether The True Writer’s plan will unfold as

intended remains uncertain, but for the sake of all existence, many can only hope it leads to a better ending than the destruction Gala once sought.

Where is he now?

No one truly knows where Gala is now. After his exile was enforced, he left with nothing but his sword and whatever he had on his back. There have been occasional reports from the unknown, with some claiming to have seen a man resembling him, but nothing has been confirmed. Some believe he’s dead, while others fear he’s planning something. In the end, no one really knows.

I can only hope that wherever he is, he’s reflecting on his actions and becoming a better person. I remember overhearing The True Writer speaking to him one night in his office, trying to encourage him to change after yet another incident. I never got to hear how that conversation ended—I had work to do—but I remember The True Writer well. He was a kind old man, one who had clearly seen things no one should ever have to witness, yet he always carried that warm, knowing smile.

I know this report is about Gala, but I can’t help but wonder. Did The True Writer’s words leave any impact on him? He changed the lives of so many. I can only hope he changed Gala’s too, even just a little.

FINAL THOUGHTS

As the dust of history settles, Gala remains a figure shrouded in controversy. His crimes—acts of war, genocide, and destruction across entire multiverses—left an irreversible scar on creation. His motivations, a mere pursuit of battle, offered no justification, ensuring his exile was an easy decision for the public. Yet, The True Writer’s final decree spared him from death, leaving many questioning if there was more to the story.

Now, Gala is nothing more than a ghost, his whereabouts unknown. Some whisper of sightings in the unknown, while others believe he has perished. Whatever the truth may be, one thing is certain—his name will not be forgotten, whether as a warning or a mystery yet to unfold.

And as for me? I don’t know what to think anymore. Maybe The True Writer saw something in Gala that none of us could. Maybe this was all part of some greater plan. Maybe it wasn’t. All I can say is this—if you’re still out there, Gala, I hope you’ve learned something. I hope you’ve become someone better. Because if you haven’t... then your exile is the least of our problems.
