-Noctis, that kinda fits" i said rather unsurly, I'm not entirely good on names. That and naming a pawniard isn't the easiest feat, while some names are fine, others get refused after evolution and get replaced with something more kingly or queenly, but pawniards don't normally want those types of name yet, it's difficult to name some pokemon more than others, I mean getting a name for a growlithe is easy as fuck since they are just happy about everything, but try doing the same with a absol and you will get cut.
"Pawn, awn, iard" He responded with a nod to go along with it, seeing it as a acceptable name. I kinda just made it up, doest really mean anything, but it sounds fine so it should be fine.
"Alright, so now that I do actually know my aptitudes, it's best to get a general team plan now, rather than later" I said, already pulling out my pokedex, Steel and dark were my primary types, I could easily take pokemon that weren't these types but had a naturally high aptitude for them, kinda like ampharos and charizard with their high dragon affinitys, however the higher in both steel and dark, the better. As compatibility is going to be important later in any pokemon related career, the first few pokemon to come to mind with steel and dark are pokemon like corvikinight, perseker and crawdaunt. Only one of which is viable since perserker are native to galar and my low water aptitude.
Then I start to look at pokemon that are one of my main types, along with my high types. Pokemon to come to mind are drapion, honchcrow, sableye, Aegislash and maybe that new granbull variant. But I also need to think about a psychic type, they are just useful in general, though my psychic aptitude is only mid, but 50% is as high as that gets, but my only real options are malamar or bronzong considering the only other option is metagross and those take tones of effort to train with how smart they are.
It takes a little bit, but I put a general plan together, with pawniards build, he will probably be a bulky bruiser with low travel utility, so I need to fill my team with a flyer of some kind, hopefully a corviknight who could act as a tank, a speedster, a mon who can come out when a enemy pokemon is damaged and take advantage of that, a pokemon that can disable other pokemon though poison and paralyse, a strong special attacker of some kind, probably the psychic and lastly a pokemon a bit of an allrounder in case it is ever needed to deal with any situation.
It takes a while but eventually, by the end of the day, I've constructed a sound path to follow to get pokemon that fit into every role that will need to be filled, this is following the path which follows this order
Canalive> jubilife> sandgem> oreburgh> pastoria> sunnyshore> virbank> solaceon> celestic> snowpoint> eterna> hearthrome
While some of these won't have any gyms, they will have tournaments which could let me find a sponsor if I preform well, my sister is currently sponsored by the flying elite- kestrel. Which only makes her more impressive considering that he only has 2 sponsor allocations. If I do well enough in the beginners tournament in sandgem I should be able to get an early sponsor with a business of some kind and have an easy way from there. If I make it to solaceon I could take place in the daycare tournament, which caters to 4-6 badge trainers with the winner getting some prizes and a choice from an egg that they have available, one guy even got a turtonator there once, and I'm going to celestic for a planned team member.

Overall, it's a good plan, I look up from my pokegear to see that noctis has fallen asleep on the pillow from earlier, though it's lost most of its stuffing at this point, probably need to by him a special type of pillow that doesn't peirce as easy if he's gonna be here for a while
As I look down at my pokegear, I dreadfully open up the website every traveling trainer needs, the companion app, obviously new trainers cannot travel by themselves, it's why groups are so common, if you don't have one your basically already dead. And for me, traveling with people that couldn't be more exited to go on a journey. Most people who go on journeys are passionate about it, they normally spend their whole life's looking forward to it, then there is me.
Anyways after opening the app and putting In my current location, I looked to see who else is looking for companians in this area. There only comes up 6 other people, considering until you get three badges that your obligated to travel in groups of 3 or more, I take a look at all of them.
The first I look at is another guy, he has brown hair and green eyes with dark circles under his eyes and about average height, Travis burtt, quickly searching him up on pokenet shows that he has a peak in ghost, most of his photos consist people getting messed with, so he would be most probably hell to travel with considering that ghost types commonly play pranks.
The second I look at is another guy, he looks built with what might as well be a buzz cut, doesnt help that he towers over the door behind him, Jamie Anderson, after a quick search he turns out to be a fighting peak and most of his photos consist of him and his machop in the gym, he would be hell to train against with noctis so another no.
The third I look at is a girl with short and blue hair with blue eyes to go with it and being rather short, Nicole Hawkins, her pokenet account consists mostly of photos with a feebas, but also let's me figure out she is peak in water, which was obvious with the feebas. Best choice so far, since feebas don't need much training, but she is probally going to push for more than three in a group.
The fourth is another guy with glasses on, he has this smile about him that makes him look like he thinks he's superior with purple hair and pink eyes and about average height, Tony Andrews, a quick search confirms he has a psychic peak, his other pictures show pictures of exam results and qualifications with a singular picture of a abra. Honestly a pretty good choice, his attitude problem would be easy to fix with noctis and with how smart he seems can probably help with alot of problems the group may encounter.
Th fifth I check is another girl, she has black hair with brown eyes and seems pretty tall, around 6 foot 3, Martha walls, after searching her up I learn that she also has a dual peak, which isn't shocking since only 1 out of 20 people have it, but she has grass and fairy peaks and her pictures reveal her togepis progress in training showing Moves like Charge beam and charm.
The sixth to be shown is one last girl, she has white hair and blue eyes with rather pale skin, she seems about average height for a girl, a quick search shows she has a peak normal affinity with most of her pictures being random things like her being bored in class, she seems to have a slakoth, which could be strong later but are rather weak until they evolve.
After looking at them all a few times, I deem the best group to be Me, Martha, Nicole and Tony. While Martha would be the one to complain about more people, I cannot argue the advantages of these three, they hopefully would want to travel with me as well. So I message all of them asking to meet up, since we all live in the south of canalive I just ask them all to meet at this cafe near the centre of the area. Nicole and Tony answer within 20 minutes saying they will come, but Martha takes a whole 2 hours to respond, just as I'm going to sleep, saying that she would come aswell.
And so tommorow, I could potentially be meeting my future traveling companions, and training if noctis feels up to it, I guess.
