The Perfectionist

The perfectionist

A cheerful young heart brims with perfection

Growing wings to provide for its delicate legs

Yet the more it desires the more it hurts

Perfection becomes a mystery, and so he dreads

Such complex beings purifying simplicity

How conflict brings about hate and anxiety

Yet he wishes to be perfect in the eyes of another

For the depraved desire beaming deep inside,

Envisions the childish heart with jewelled cries

Awake

For the world loves to be cruel.

And so he realised

"perfection is the desire of the fool"

Yet,

He wants it.
