A Heartless Paradox
Exalted with cherry drop dues of thick blood,
Wiped from the pale face of a robot.
Coloured eyes which only see black and white,
A pity it is.
For his rusty shell with many acquaintances.
marches on a tight rope beneath the canyon.
“What do you expect for me today?”
As it gently smiled, bloody and battered.
A face, oh so soft with a warm expression.
Greeting his companions to fulfil expectations.
For such a mechanical being does it’s smile exude such compassion.

And yet a robot will always be an empty shell.
A shell which desperately seeks to please his inner circle.
Chains of blood embraced by choice.
Becoming a ragged doll, whilst it’s vision becomes purple.
To gratify his peers as it speaks with a vibrant voice.
But why must one become a slave to his own ideals?
He questions and contradicts himself. Yet does not disown his ideals.
Walloping with green fruit blossoming and blossoming as success ripens.
And so he shares the abundancy with his peers bonded through blood.
“stop it.”
“Why must you keep giving?”
“Our desires have been fulfilled…all but one.”
“And the fruit cannot hope to even perfect this wish.”
He resented his inability to not perfect the satisfaction he gave.
For it ripped flesh and started anew every day to become an emerald slave.
Yet what was this desire he was not able to fulfil?
It pondered as years leisured by.
A rusty shell with many acquaintances.
Jumped and fell beneath the gaping canyon.
In his last moments,
He was content with his deeds.
Yet failed to be joyful.
And so he understands his last mistake.
Father and mother had wanted their child to be filled with joy.
To rid himself of his robotic nature and become their boy.
He smiles.
For the last words uttered on the cusp of his lips…
“I at least…deserve to be in heaven with you all…don’t I? If I do Father and Mother…
Help me fulfil your last desire.
