ALL AMAZED

That which was shut fast hath been opened

a new planet grasping for someone else’s air,

lost in the casual Earth.

There’s just no words for this.

I am the experiencer,

clinging to a shrinking vocabulary

as I dictate the names of stars

and souls.

It’s physically painful, not knowing how to describe it.

Amazed and understood

the words that beat for my heart

I’ve tried writing it down, but how?

like frantic waves tapping staccato

code into the ocean floor.

Millions of words in dusty books

I can’t begin to describe the experience.

and I am only limits, awe, and being.

Like etching the threads of your life

with a child’s restaurant crayons,

So frustrating, that I can’t tell you exactly what it was like.

The most powerful moment, and it escapes me.
