CHAPTER 21: Pendents

“I am not a shameless”. Raj said and was about to say something more, but Lovely closed the door.

Raj looked at the closed door and tries to remember the fragrance that he smelled from Lovely and after remembering the last expression on her face, Raj can't help but smile.

Now, Raj has decided to do one thing in his life and that is:- he will make her fall in love with him.

Raj looked aside from the door and looked at the accessories shop where is Some accessories for girls were being sold. Looking at the closed door again, he thought, that lovely will take some time for changing her dress again. So he decided to take a look of there.

Raj thought of buying something for lovely. After that, Raj walked towards the shop after reaching in front of the stall. Raj looked around the shop and found that there are many things present here to buy, like Rings, hand bands, pendants, locates, bracelets, friendship bands, hairpins and many more things only for girls.

Raj looked around the shop thinking what should he buy to gift lovely. A ring, No, It is too early for him to give a ring to lovely as it symbolise love or an engagement between two people and he is sure that lovely will not expect it and maybe after that she will hesitate to talk with him thinking that he is a weirdo.

Think about it, is a girl like a person who she meets only a few days ago, suddenly gives her a ring. No one like this except for gold-diggers. But Lovely is not. Raj got a feeling like this. Raj doesn’t know where this feeling comes from, but he knows it is true.

“So What should I gift her, A hairpin or a bracelet”. Raj started to thinking in his mind. Then he remembered the pendent he usually wore. Remembering it, an idea comes to his mind.

“Should I buy a pendent for her?”.Raj asked himself.

Looking at Raj who is standing there for some moment and said nothing, the shopkeeper, who is busy with chatting with his fellow female employee and looked at Raj then asked “hey, is there anything you want to buy? If not, then go”.

Raj looked at the staff who were twice older that him. About 33 or 34-year-old talked to him rudely, but he did nothing to him and asked him to show him some beautiful and expensive pendent for girls.

Raj thought that if he is really going to buy something for lovely. So shouldn’t he buy something good and expensive for her? So, this is why he asked that show me some beautiful and expensive pendents.

After hearing what Raj asked him. The shopkeeper, who is a middle-aged man, thoughts that Raj is just a high school studies who just completed his studies and earned his first salary. And here he comes with his girlfriend and wanted to buy something for her to make her happy. So he singled the female employee to leave and showed him some pendent of a cheap quality intendant to sell him and make him flee away. But Raj rejected the all and asked him to show him some good looking and best quality pendent.

The shop staff, who is a middle-aged man after hearing what Raj Said, started to showing him some good-looking pendent. But Raj again rejected it all. It’s not like that they are not beautiful or have not a good quality but Raj cannot decide what design he should gift lovely, so he rejected it all.

The shop staff is irritated by his behavior and asked him “do you really wanna buy something or not? Or you only come to waste my time.

After hearing it, Raj Said “Sorry, but I don’t like any of these. Can you me something more good”.

The middle-aged man looked at Raj and said to him and said while pointing the mess that Raj has made: “I showed you all this many good-looking pendents and here you say you don’t like anyone of these or you don’t want to buy anything and just come here to waste my time”.

After hearing this, Raj said, “No, I am not wasting your time and I will surely buy something before leaving from here. It just I cannot decide what design should I buy. I don’t have any idea of this kind of thing. So can you Show me something more good or a beasts quality pendent of your shop and don’t worry about money I will surely buy it?

The middle-aged man looked at Raj again and now he is sure that he is just come here to waste his time. So, he decided to teach a lesson to Raj and then the middle-aged man said : “Wait for some moment I will find a best quality pendent of this shop for you”. After that the shopkeeper left the front desk and entered inside the depth of his shop to find something that will help him to teach a lesson to Raj.

After searching for a moment, he come back to Raj with two women at his side who were maybe in his late twenties or early thirties, assisting him to carry seven small boxes.

Raj looked at the boxes curiously because this man takes a long time to search for it. So, Raj hopes that, maybe it will be something good.

Then Raj looked at the middle-aged man who was standing there with a two women at his side waiting for him to say something. So, Raj, who understands it, asked, “ What is inside in these boxes”.

After hearing Raj's question, he said : “These are best quality, good looking and beautiful pendents what you have ordered”. After that the old man paused for a moment and after looking at the two beautiful women’s in his side he said: “but these all are expensive and it may cost half the salary of a month some peoples like you. So do you really wanna buy it?”. After that the old man paused again “Or You can choose something different, a cheap price gift for your girlfriend”. The middle-aged man said with mocking smile and his voice is filled with full concern, feeling like that Raj cannot buy it and after he will become sad. Hearing it, the two female its side laughed.

Raj looked at the two middle-aged women who laughed at him after hearing what the middle-aged man said. Raj chuckled and thought in his mind that “Now that I have enough money to buy whole your shop and here you are talking about just a few boxes”. But he didn’t say it in front of his face and decided to give him a lesson so he said to the man with a smile “Thanks for you concern old man but now I really want to see what is inside these boxes and don’t worry uncle if I am cable enough to buy it I will buy it all”.

“Old man ! “ Hearing Raj called him a old man, the middle-aged man exclaimed and said “ Are you blind ? Cannot you see that, I am only 37 years old? How dare you say that I am an old man”.

“37 years! Old “.This time Raj said in surprise. “And here you are saying that you are not an old man. I suppose that, maybe you are a married man and a father of a 10-year-old boy or girl”. Raj said to him. The reason is Raj said it is quite simple. Usually in India people marry in the age of 24 or 25 and if he married in the age of 27 years than his child should be 10-year-old.

Hearing Raj reply, the middle-aged man become silent because what Raj said is true.

“So what if I am 37 years old? I can marry again, to a beautiful girl who is much younger than me and I can give whatever gift she want not like you who can’t able to buy a wonderful gift?

For your girlfriend”. The shopkeeper replied angrily.

Yes, you can and now show me what inside these boxes.

“Okay, I will show you What inside these boxes, but can you buy one of these boxes?”.

“Buy one of these boxes.. Hehe.. I can buy all these boxes but if I like it”. Raj replied laughingly and said in his heart if I am a student like I was in the past, I am sure cannot buy this, but now I have enough money to buy your whole life.

“Hahahaha... what you said is that you can buy all these boxes. Do you know what is their starting price?”.The shopkeeper asked while laughing like that he heard some joke.

“What is their starting price?”. Raj asked.

“You don’t even know what is their starting price and you want to buy this all”. The middle-aged laughed more.

“Yes” Raj replied.

“Okay, if you want to buy you can and now you don’t need to buy all these if you are capable enough to buy a one of these box then I will apologize you for my rude behavior but if not then you have to apologize to me for wasting my f*cking time”. The middle-aged man said angrily.

“Okay”. Raj said in his reply after hearing what he said. Now Raj doesn’t understand why this man is so angry with him from the starting when he first entered in his shop. I just asked him to show me some pendent and if you are just angry with the mess I made or wasted your time , then how is he going to sell his stuffs to other picky customers? Especially girls..

Now, I don’t know who will tell to Raj that he is not angry because Raj has made a mess in his shop or wasted his time, but he is angry because Raj has interrupted him when he is enjoying flirting with his female employees.

Hearing that Raj has agreed, the middle-aged man looked at Raj at the last time. Then, the middle-aged man opened all the boxes all together.

After the middle-aged man opened the boxes. Raj looked at the all boxes and found that each has a pendent inside it.

Seven beautiful pendent with seven different shapes and different colours appeared front of him. Green, red, pink, yellow, orange, blue and a black one.

Raj looked at them all, one by one. First is the pendent which is emitting green Colour light. A pendent with golden chain wrapping against a round crystal that is shining in dark green colour light looking like a green gem.

Then Raj looked at the next pendent that was emitting yellow coloured light. Another Pendent with a golden chain and have a shiny Yellow coloured diagonal shaped rectangular crystal embedded on centre of it. Like it symbolise some pure golden power of light.

Then Raj looked at the pendent that was emitting a red-coloured light.

A red pendent with a chain and blood shaped water droplet in red colour between in it. Looked a like a blood pendent.

After that Raj looked at the next pendent, which is in a Orange colour with round shaped transparent crystal at the center of it and inside it a orange coloured burning flame is present.

Then, Raj again looked at the next

Pendent which have a blue coloured shining star on the centre of it. While tied by a silver chain.

After looking at him, Raj remembered a poem of from his childhood twinkle-twinkle little Star. how I wonder what you are! “Hahaha”. Raj laughed in his mind after remembering it.

“ They are all good “. Raj said but his attention is attracted by the last two pendent which is black and pink in colour that he thought it would be best gift for a girl live lovely. Maybe all like it.

Raj looked at the pink-coloured pendent. That does not look like a locate. A pink coloured heart shaped locate with L written with a capital letter on center of it.

And Another one is a black-coloured pendent which is unique in this all pendents best for girls with a black coloured beautiful little butterfly on the center of it. With golden colour outline and a golden chain.

Now, Raj Started to thinking which one he should buy. The black one or the pink one.

“Should I buy both ?”. Raj asked himself.

“What happened? Which one you selected ?”. the shopkeeper, who is a middle-aged man, asked.

“Hey! why are you in this hurry? I am considering which one should I buy”.

Raj said to the shopkeeper and lifted the link coloured heart pendent in his hand. “Wait a second... what ? This feeling...Dont tell me, that it is a..,wait I should check it?”. When Raj lifted the heart pendent in his hand, a feeling appeared in his heart. So he used his object inspection skill on the pendant to check it whatever his feelings is true or not.

And a window appeared in his mind.

“Are you ok?”. The shopkeeper asked he knows that talking with Raj is a little irritating but it doesn’t mean that he wants something bad happened him, especially in front his shop.

“I am fine”. Raj said. “it was just a little headache I felt in my head”. Raj said to the shopkeeper and started to read the information about the remaining five pendents that appeared in his mind.
