Chapter One

“Vanessa! We need you downstairs,” my loud mother screams.

I’m trying to do homework here!- “ coming..”.

“Wha-” I stood wide eyed, my brother was crying, he never cries. No kidding

. “Vanessa, we’re moving, you have to move schools, bu-”

I interrupted saying “good.”

I wanted to move, ever since we came here and there’s one reason, Shane Vance.

Shane Vance was a jerk from my school, and might I mention that Shane is a MAJOR issue, who by the way liked to pick on me. And- No. he doesn’t like me, he made that clear. Anyways my interrupting comment left my mom with her jaw wide open.

“You don’t care?” She raised her eyebrow.

“Nope, we can leave right now for all I care.” I was practically pleading at this point.

“Alright, well your brother isn’t taking it so well.” She muttered in my ear.

The day we’re leaving has come, “Vanessa time to go, get your bags and get in the car please, and Noland STOP crying, its not the end of the world, you have their numbers.”. I giggled he’s crying over fake friends.

I quickly walked to the car, gosh I’m so excited .

We are moving to Georgia exciting.

The car ride was mostly a blur, mainly because I woke up in an unfamiliar smelling house, Home.

“Hey sis.” My brother says peering his head over mine.

Noland was 12 and as I’d said before he almost NEVER cries. He is a hazel brown haired boy. As for me.. I am 15 and I have black raven-ish hair. I have absolutely no idea where I got it from, my mom has blonde hair, my dad has brown, and both of their parents had blonde and brown.

So, I do not know. I literally did a Punnett square trying to figure It out, I guess I’m special. I got up and looked around. My room was completely finished, all the furniture placed exactly how I wanted it to be.
