Light years away, in a dark part of the Cosmos, there was a giant black hole. Inside the black hole, there was a pocket dimension, and inside that dimension there was a mountain.
New Mount Olympus, home of the Gods was riddled with holes the size of craters. A rebellious son had sought to escape, and after 666 years of running, chasing, and clashing again and again it seemed like the conflict was finally coming to an end.
As Ares, the God of War stood inside one of these craters surrounded by his comrades-turned-enemies, he knew this battle would determine not only his fate but also the fate of the entire pantheon.
One by one, the Gods attacked with fierce determination, channeling every ounce of their divine powers to weaken him. Breathless and wounded, the God of War fought valiantly until a surge of overwhelming energy struck him down.
“W-why?” he mumbled while crumbling to his knees.
“Are you seriously asking that!?” Zeus’ face was contorted and ugly; sweat dripped down his long, white beard. “We cannot interfere with the humans, you bastard. It’ll spell the end of us all!”
“B-bullshit…”
While Ares tried to get up, Zeus’ face turned beet red. He summoned a bolt of lightning, infused it with divinity and struck him with all his might. This was the final straw; the God of war’s own divinity broke into a million pieces and scattered. Ares’ eyes rolled inside their sockets.
“I, Zeus, God of New Olympus, hereby strip you of your powers and cast you to the land of man!”
Upon making this proclamation, Zeus lifted his index finger, infused it with Godly power, and…

“Didn’t you do that already?” Hermes asked from atop a broken statue of himself.
“What!?” Zeus turned his head.
“Strip him of his powers. You did that a minute ago. Also, isn’t frolicking with the humans what he wanted in the first place?” Hermes shrugged and averted his gaze while whistling.
It was apparent to him that Zeus’ bloodshot eyes would soon pop out of their sockets. His entire body trembled, and the divine power at the tip of his finger changed color from yellow to an awkward orange.
“Do not question me, you bird winged bastard! Have I ever led you astray!?”
To the side, the beautiful Aphrodite rolled her eyes while catching her breath in the dirt. She summoned divine energy to block her ears and breathed heavily, trying to recover her strength.
Zeus’ lips moved, probably to explain his actions, but Aphrodite gazed at his finger instead.
While staring down Hermes and spouting who knows what, Zeus pointed his shinny finger at Ares. Murky orange energy shot out and struck the fallen God’s body.
However, instead of vanishing into the ether as everyone assumed, Ares’ body convulsed wildly.
Instead of disappearing instantly to where Zeus willed it, it split apart into tiny cube-like pieces, changed color from orange to yellow to red, and then disappeared slowly, one at a time.
“You messed up.” Aphrodite’s beautiful lips curled down.
Zeus was too busy shouting to see, but she definitely saw it. Some of other Gods saw it too. Even Hermes saw it and frowned.
‘The old man fucked up, shit!’ they all thought in unison.
Ares, the God of war was banished forever from their realm, but…
‘Where the hell was he sent?’
He was flung into an unknown void that would deliver him onto a sorrow path.
‘What if he finds a new source of power?’
Aphrodite stood up and trudged towards Zeus with heavy, weary steps. Hermes and the other tired Gods approached him as well.
After unblocking her ears, she could hear Zeus preach “The humans will break him. Without divine powers he’s useless, he’s… Why are you looking at me like that?”
Ares the God of war was flung onto the human plain. His powers were extinguished, his body was weakened, and his destination was beyond his comprehension.
Rising in the middle of a lonesome field of grass, he stood up, lifted his head, and with a clear voice, he spoke to the heavens:
“You threw me into the dirt. You took away my powers. Brothers, sisters, wait for me. Do not forget ME!… We shall meet again.”
