Relics of a long-dead god scatter the land, giving immense power to those lucky few who wield them. Yet these items are more than weapons, and they are starting to awaken. In his journey to understand himself, Dan makes trusted allies - and catches the dangerous focus of those far more powerful than himself. It will take all he has to simply survive his time at the Jiaodao, training school of the Guan. Surviving what comes next is an entirely different question. Roar of Greatness and Living In The System were my first two novels on RoyalRoad. I eventually dropped those novels unceremoniously due to being hired to write some fantasy novels. Then, I suppose in turn, I was also dropped. In the middle of the project, with money waiting to be paid. So, here's the novel, mostly untouched from the writing.
