It all started with the divorce... my mom and dad weren’t very close to begin with. They only got married because they had children and wanted us to have a “happy” childhood with a mom and dad but you could tell they didn’t want to be together so they split up just after I turned seven. My dad was from America and my mom from Korea so after the divorce my dad moved back to America. So, my mom stayed in Korea and kept us with her, but of curse as children, we missed our father.
My brother is two years older than me so he was always protective of me even if he bullied me all the time, he would protect me from the other kids in the neighborhood who would bully me for my very small size. I was never very strong or brave so I always went to my brother for everything more than I ever did my mom. Honestly my brother raised me after the divorce so when we would travel to America to go stay with my dad, he would constantly have an eye on me and/or holding my hand.

While visiting my dad in America for the second time my brother and I were out on a walk to the local park when a van pulled up next to us and tried to pull the whole “candy” trick on us but my brother being the overprotective person he is he immediately pulled me away and we started to run away but then the van sped up to us and stopped in front of us and four men jumped out and two grabbed my brother and two grabbed me and as they tried to pull me into the van my brother stared to fight back harder and the men holding him started to beat him and that’s the last thing I saw as the van doors closed.
