Training Room

"I got hit by many abilities, so with help from my experience, I'll see how many types of Transmute I can do first," Aeron said as he sat cross-legged.

The room was a perfect square of 30 meters. Its floor and walls were not normal. They were made of a special ore from a dark ruin under Phantom Association.

The surface of the floor and walls was slightly rough as this material looked like a mixture of metal-type granite—Gartarz metal, a Grade-4 mystic resource.

The material was cool and affected people's body function, naturally improving one's blood circulation, breathing, and both physical and mental exhaustion recovery.

There was a small square box beside the door. Upon using some spirit credits, one could activate the room's special function to boost the natural effects up to 10x times.

This room worked in a simple way as it used spirit energy from spirit credits and activated the Spirit Formation beneath it that affected the Gartarz Metal, boosting its effect significantly based on the number of spirit credits used.

Aeron didn't spend any Spirit credits and just kept the room's benefit effects normal.

"Let's start," Aeron stretched his hands forward and opened his palms.

He used 20 spirit energy and gathered 10 spirit energy on each palm.

"Transmute."

Both spirit energy aura on his palms immediately turned into water orbs. It was roughly 1 liter of water on each of his palms.

"Manipulate."

Aeron focused and manipulated the mass and shape of the orbs, condensing them as they became smaller and compact.

"Emission," Aeron narrowed his eyes. The two thumb-sized water beads on his palms were condensed, but Aeron applied Emission on it.

*Swoosh!*

Both water beads released a water beam that struck the wall, creating a sizzling sound.

The beams lasted for roughly 1 second before both beads' energy was used up and they vanished since it was only a total of 20 spirit energy.

[Good control.]

Lapis nodded.

"Let's check out Fire."

Aeron consumed 20 spirit energy again as two wispy aura of spirit energy appeared on his palms.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

'Flame…' Aeron focused and willed his spirit energy to transmute based on his understanding of flame. Soon, two wisps of bright orange-red flames appeared on his palms.

"What if I can create oil for more damage?" Aeron raised his eyebrows and took back one of his palms, dissipating the flame.

[The only limit for creations of Phantom Ability is your spirit and curse power, your control, and your constructive imagination to shape it into reality with proper steps.]

Aeron pointed his empty right hand forward and stretched his index finger at the wall.

'Oil with extra combustion, eh?' Aeron cracked a grin. Using spirit energy, he changed its properties, turning it into a drop of oil before his index finger.

Afterward, he consumed curse energy to use Enchant, increasing the oil potency and increasing the quantity of oil by consuming more spirit energy.

*Pich…*

Aeron released oil, splattering over a small area on the wall before he looked at his left palm.

Veiling the hand, Aeron manipulated the flame and condensed it into an orb.

"Fireball," Aeron grinned and grabbed the Fireball with his hand before throwing it towards the oily wall.

*Boom!*

The fireball struck the wall before exploding into a burst of flame.

"Nice. I can also Enchant the fireball further to make it stronger."

[Good. Phantom Spark is also registering your attributes. Make more transmutes and conjuration to see how many attributes you can command.]

"Yep. That's the plan."

Aeron began trying more elements one by one.

After flame, he tried electricity and managed to turn his spirit energy lighting as well.

Afterward, he managed to transmute his spirit energy into Earth, Wind, and even Wood.

These basic elements were common everywhere and it wasn't that hard to make them.

But to attain higher mastery in them and even create more advanced attributes, one needed practice and constant training.

Aeron also tried to Transmute his spirit energy into other attributes but failed.

He tried Light and managed to turn his spirit energy into a glowing light, but it wasn't potent and felt half.

In the end, he started failing in the all next attempts. Darkness, Shadow, Sand, Glass, Rubber…he couldn't transmute his Spirit energy into those attributes.

"Alright, that's it," Aeron stretched his arms and stood up. "Although I can't Transmute to give my spirit energy those attributes, I can do this, eh?"

Aeron consumed Spirit energy and applied Conjure, creating a piece of glass.

[It's not hard to use Conjure and create objects, but they are just objects with predefined properties based on your conjuration. But with transmute, you literally change the properties of your Spirit energy to make it different.]

Lapis smiled.

[You reached 100% proficiency in basics, but that's just the start, Aeron. For example, there's one guy who had attained mastery of Enchant, thus Fortify to a whole new level.]

[He can boost his physical body to such extremes that he can even grow in size and boost his physical aspects to extreme.]

[There's also a master of Conjure who can conjure a fortress laced with destructive weapons that he intricately built. Such Phantom Abilities require a long time to complete since they use all applications to a high level. Transmute, Enchant, Conjure, Emission, and Manipulation with complex weaving.]

[But you have to start with what your current amount of spirit and curse energy can create.]

Aeron rubbed his chin.

"Alright. I am going to create not one, but multiple Phantom Abilities with basic uses."

"I want one movement ability."

"One long-range offense."

"One defensive."

"One that can allow me to use my martial prowess and boost close-range."

Lapis rolled her eyes.

[Fine. You are rolling out a tough dice, but a part of me believes you can do this. I'll be your judge and you must create Phantom Abilities up to the quality of Rank-C]

Aeron widely grinned and cracked his finger. "Watch and be ready to swoon."
