-Petilil's POV-
I was quickly awakened by the warm sunlight. It felt very good when I was under the sun. It feels like its gently and softly touching me, giving me the energy to move, almost like a parent would... I saddened up as I came to that thought. But as of now, the more important thing is to find the essentials.
I start moving through the forest again, this time feeling lighter than when it was nighttime. I advanced quickly, and the result was some berries I picked up from nearby bushes and a pond of fresh water with Magikarp in them. It was extremely difficult to carry things with how things are now because I have no hands or legs. This wasn't a big problem before, as I floated slightly above ground before, but carrying things were another story. As to how I actually carried them, well... I just put them on my head, in the middle of the 3 leaves(grass, whichever you think make more sense to you) It certainly wasn't a pleasant experience, and was it hard to balance berries on my head. But it will have to do as the method of carrying as of now.
I sit by the pond and start looking through what I have gathered. A total of 3 berries, one being round and blue, with a green tip at the top, and another being yellow with red dots on its surface, and the final one is a bunch of small and round red berries.
It was until now that I noticed how different I was apart from others of my kind.
My leaves(grass, whichever made more sense to you) were a bit brighter than usual, but the bigger change was my body. It was bright yellow. I'm not sure why or how, but clearly it was a disadvantage. If I was normal colored, I'd be able to blend into my surroundings with ease. Now with this "golden" body of mine, well, wouldn't you say finding a random gold plant in a patch of grass be abnormal?
Urgh. Why do you have to play me like this, God?
Sigh. Well, it doesn't help thinking about it now. The more important matter at hand right now is to devour these newly found berries.
I decided to try the yellow-with-red-dot berry first. The taste was... mediocre. That was all I can say about it. Mediocre. It didn't exactly taste like anything. It's like food having all the spices in the world, but every flavor was the same amount like each other, creating food that has 5 flavors but you can't taste it simply because it blended in so well.
Next was the small-and-round red berries. To say it in the simplest terms, it's Amazing. The berry was a little drier and had less in the sour side. I felt like I just tasted some heavenly meal crafted by the head chef to serve a king in a palace... well, maybe I'm exaggerating, but still. It's very good.
After tasting the small round red berries, I decided to keep the last berry. I wasn't hungry by then, and I was sure the taste of this berry would only be overshadowed by the red berries, which isn't a good thing. So, I drank some water from the pond and moved on.
Not long after I started moving, I heard the sounds of Pokemon battling each other. I was scared at first, but curiosity got the better of me, so I went to the source of the sounds.
It was quite the scene. A red fox-like Pokemon with 4 tails was fighting a group of dog-like Pokemon with gray and dark fur. And the situation wasn't going well for the fox-like Pokemon. It was getting more and more beat back, and the injuries on it wasn't a big help.
The dog Pokemon was growling at it, then suddenly, one tackled the fox Pokemon with a hard force, and it flew a good distance. Maybe it was Fate playing me, or God's sick nature to see what would happen if something occurred, the fox Pokemon landed right next to me. Great. Now they're sure to find me.
I drop the berry on my head and carried the fox Pokemon. Then I ran without much thought. And clearly, it was a bad idea to carry it. Now I have a Pokemon not only bigger than me, but also heavier than me, on my head, and it severely slowed down my speed.
I looked back and the dog Pokemon are now chasing me. They're slowly but surely catching up.
There's no choice but to fight now. I put the fox Pokemon down and turned back to fight them off. The four tackled me instantly. Thankfully, my speed allowed me to dodge 3 of the tackles, but the fourth one not.
"Eeeek!" I let out a screech of pain, but being painful and doing nothing doesn't help this situation. I calm my mind and use Absorb on the dog that tackled me. It seems to dealt more damage than I had anticipated, and one of them fell just like that. I also heal some of my wounds it inflicted on me, but not to full.
But it did not faint. The four charges at me again, this time I almost got hit by one. I used Absorb once more and the injured dog collapsed.

A voice said that in my mind, but it's not the thing I'm concerned about right now.
Although from four dogs to three dogs was a massive step in victory, the fact that they're now enraged is not. They let out an intimidating howl of rage, and now they are charging at me with insane speeds. I can definitely say for sure, If they hit me with a tackle at that speed and power, I'd be sure to go up to see my parents. And I don't want that to happen. Not while this fox Pokemon was unconscious, at least.
The situation, however, wasn't looking good. I don't think I can fight them in that state of power. I head towards the fox Pokemon, put it on my head, and ran as fast as one Petilil could towards one single direction. It didn't matter which, as long as I kept running towards it. I ran, and ran, and ran as fast as possible. I did not look back and only kept running. But finally, I ran out of energy and collapsed onto the patch of grass with the fox Pokemon next to me. As my consciousness fades, I could hear the dog Pokemon no more.
-Fox Pokemon's POV-
I wake up to find only forests around me. It seems like the Poochyenas are gone... somehow. Then I saw it, the most probable reason as to the disappearance of the Poochyenas.
A Petilil was lying on the ground.
I can tell that she was injured, and most likely ran out of energy after saving me from those dogs. But why would she save me? More likely or not if I was another Pokemon I would've made her my lunch. How did she even run that fast anyway? I know grass Pokemon tend to have more strength under the sun, but still. She did just carry a Pokemon bigger and heavier than her and ran from Poochyenas. And moreover, her leaves were brighter than usual, and the whole body was shining a brilliant bright yellow. She must be special to have those kinds of colors.
I guess the more important thing to do is wake this Petilil up. I thought to myself. I start by searching nearby bushes, and luckily enough, there were Oran berries. I ate some of them to recover my strength by a bit, and I put some of the berries in the Petilil's mouth, in hopes that she would heal from them.
Some minutes after she ate the Oran berries, she woke up.
She was confused at first, but seemed to realize the situation and calmed down.
"So you're awake," I said.
"...Yes" She answered, in a quiet voice.
"Come on now, don't be shy. The Poochyenas are long gone by now." I said. "I'm Vulpix by the way, and I assume you're a Petilil born with very special colors somehow."
"...Yes" She said, this time in a louder voice than before.
"Why do you have those bright yellows on your body instead of green?" I asked.
"I was born with those colors" She answered.
When I questioned her "And why is that?" She simply replied with "I don't know" Curious. It seems to me like a bad idea to have all of those shining colors on one's body. It simply gave away their position, and made it harder to hide in bushes or blend in the enviorment.
"Why did you save me?" I asked, now the Petilil is in a slightly shocked face. "You had no reason to do so, and there's also the chance that once I wake up, I'd just turn you into lunch."
Then, she answered: "I... don't know, really." I was confused when she said that. Then she continued: "It just felt right to help you at that time." Now that's a weird Petilil If I've ever seen one. Helping others in another species? There's basically little to no one who would bet their lives to save another from different families, and let's not even talk about different species. Speaking of families...
"Where are your father and mother? I didn't see them around here. Did you sneak out of your home?"
"They..." As she's saying that, her face suddenly became sorrow, almost to the point of crying. I think I've asked the wrong question. It seems like this Petilil's family is now..dead. And she's the only survivor of the said family. I've had a family before, and hearing this just makes me sad.
"It's OK," I said. "Don't answer the question if you don't want to then."
Now less sad, she gave me a smile and a nod, like she just gave me a mental "Thank you".
