The Armonk Attempt

The Armonk Attempt

TSA agents were behind me, and I can assure you—it froze me to death.

Suddenly, the TSA agents near the armory turned their attention to the window, causing a flurry of shouts and commands to fill the air.

"Sir!" one of them exclaimed.

Rocke quickly exited the cockpit and asked, "What's going on?"

"We've got military planes on our tail!" the watchman exclaimed, causing a look of concern to cross Demetrius Rocke's face.

"Take shots at them with your wands!" he exclaimed. "Man, everybody, to their stations!"

Soon enough, individuals entered my section of the aircraft and suddenly began to open the lower door. Unexpectedly, a gust of wind caught me off guard, and I struggled to stay sheltered behind the corner. People continued to enter the area, pulling out their wands and casting spells.

I remained silent throughout, observing with disappointment. The TSA agents fired bolts from their wands at the dark and red military aircraft that were approaching them, engaging in a series of shots that resulted in flashes and blasts.

Then, suddenly, the fighter jets began pursuing the plane, and I watched as the window shattered, quickly ducking beneath the seats. Shards of glass rained down around me, and I instinctively shielded my head, overwhelmed with fear for my safety.

After a while, the warriors tried to board the plane, and I felt the plane suddenly shake very hard, making it difficult for me to stay in place. However, at that moment, one of the bolts managed to collide with the plane, causing a visible fire and witnessing the wing of the aircraft being engulfed. It began to slide out of sight, but more joined in the attack. As bolts and gunfire rained down from above, I instinctively shielded my head with my arms and let out a shout.

However, as I pondered the situation, I realized that this was a perfect chance for me to try and acquire the armor!

With great speed, I sprang to my feet and swiftly made my way towards the Armonk.

"One, eighteen." I stuttered, feeling a heavy weight of apprehension coursing through my veins. I struggled to center the code and couldn't understand its complexity.

I guess it's probably a good idea for me to just grab the case and get on the plane.

Then, suddenly, my radio turned on and I quickly responded, "What happened?!"

"Come on, you absolutely want to get in!" he shouted. "Just make sure to bring the container with you!"

He was thinking the same thing as me.

"Sure, I'll be there in a moment," I replied. But before I could even react, someone grabbed me by the collar and pulled me away.

Swiftly, I shrugged him off, and I leapt to my feet, noticing three TSA agents with their wands poised to apprehend me. I took a deep breath but managed to acquire it on my own.

Then, suddenly, they charged.

I quickly stopped their wand movements with my own, then retaliated by raising mine and casting a spell at them. They stumbled backwards, disoriented.

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

I sprinted ahead, flinging my arms around the armonk, until one of them caught me, breaking my grip. I was thrown to the ground, feeling a sharp pain shoot through my shoulder.

Regardless, I was not giving up.

I woke up and quickly used my wand to swing, landing a hit on the TSA agent who had grabbed me in the jaw. He stumbled backwards, disoriented. I approached the one behind me, and I must say, he put up quite a fight. He swung with determination, swiftly moving over my head, making it challenging to dodge any attack, and then he would come at me again.

Evading his strikes was quite a challenge, but I managed to land a hit on his stomach with the drag of my wand. Anyway, with that energy, he swiftly turned and spun, delivering a roundhouse kick that struck directly at my face. I found myself collapsing onto my back, groaning in frustration. However, once again, I got up, and this time, I won't let him strike me again. I tried to cast something at him, but he managed to dodge it. I made another attempt, but he skillfully avoided it once again.

After that, I took another swing, but he managed to dodge again.

I quickly used my leg to kick his thigh, throwing off his balance, and then I brought my wand down on him. I quickly reacted, swiftly grabbing his wrist and using my strength to bring him down to the ground.

I quickly stood up and raised my wand high above my head, and then I examined him. He appeared visibly distressed, his head drooping, and clearly suffering from a hangover.

I took a deep breath, but now I could handle it.

I quickly retrieved the crate, but soon after, I was brought back down to the ground.

Yet, this time by Demetrius Rocke.

"Hello, little buddy," he said with a chuckle. "It seems like you might be a bit disoriented, don't you think?"

I jumped to my feet and yelled as I charged towards him, but ended up dodging at the last moment and ended up taking a tumble.

"You try to be a spy mage, but let's be honest, you're not very good at it," he remarked. "It's quite perplexing how you even have a perk." One would expect someone with such a distinguished lineage to have produced a more intellectually gifted individual, don't you think?"

Once again, a surge of anger welled up inside me, and I charged towards him, but I soon found myself losing my balance.

"Please, stop embarrassing yourself," he said, chuckling. "It's quite amusing."

I felt a surge of irritation that led me to shout, not caring about the pain it caused, and ultimately resulted in a confrontation with him.

His wand slipped from his grasp and glided over to the armonk.

"Well, there's no denying it," he remarked, wiping away some of the blood from his nose. "I'm okay with that."

We exchanged glances, with my face filled with anger while his displayed a mischievous demeanor.

The pressure continued to rise and increased significantly as we began to move cautiously, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Then, I swung my wand, but he quickly smacked it away, sending it flying behind the cases. "Look who's lacking a wand now," he remarked. "Welcome to the club!"

In a split second, I threw my fist at him, but he swiftly evaded my punch, leaving me no choice but to try again. However, he managed to dodge my second attempt as well.

At that moment, I struck his lower leg and stomach with a well-timed combination of kicks, followed by a direct hit to his chest.

He stumbled a bit, but he managed to maintain his balance. He attempted to throw a punch, but my elbow swiftly moved to block his attack.

He flashed a smile at me, and I could have done without it.

Then, in that moment, he attempted to replicate my leg move but followed it up with a swift punch, which I successfully blocked by firmly gripping his wrist. He used the other person to strike me in the stomach, but then I used my leg again to kick him in the shin. I swiftly delivered a sharp blow, connecting with his cheek.

I was panting heavily, and beads of sweat were dripping down my face. However, he seemed completely unfazed. I threw a punch, but he skillfully dodged, leaving me swinging at nothing. Then, with a forceful elbow, he struck me from behind.

I stumbled forward and quickly regained my footing.

"How can it feel, little buddy?" he asked me. I shouted as I threw a punch, but he swiftly dodged and effortlessly grabbed hold of me, hurling me to the ground.

I looked at him, tears welling up in my eyes, and I raised my voice at him. I managed to stand up, only to be greeted with a forceful kick to the face, causing me to fall back down.

"Wake up, boy!" he said. "It's embarrassing that you have a perk, but you struggle as if you were just born!"

He delivered another forceful kick, causing a warm trickle to flow down my face. I growled and lunged at him, only to be tripped up and fall to the ground.

"You will lose, young man," he asserted. "Nothing can bring me down."

Then, at the very moment, the engines of the plane exploded into a massive ball of fire.
