Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Its been a week since our attack on the warehouse. In this time I kept seeing Katelin but we couldn't find the boss no matter what we tried. We found Torri though. Sadly, all we learned from him were directions to a few houses their boss used but, they were long empty and didn't have any ties to nobles. In this time Sophie managed to raise our worth to a stunning forty-one million Beli. I thought about rising my level to take advantage of my Int score that will be rising by using meditation but I decided to do otherwise. After all, money makes money, and I need a lot. In this time I decided the lowest point I need to attain to go to the next world. It was 75.750.000 Beli. I know. Making this money by blacksmithing will take long. So my reliance on Sophie improves even more. Soon enough, girls will manage to find a trustworthy captain to do business and they will make their first trading run.

My musings cut short by sounds of knocking on the door. I opened the door, it was Reena. There was something odd though. I quickly gestured her to come in and looked at the source of oddity without anything in between. It was army. Seeing army in this kingdom isn't very odd if rare. Real reason its odd because they are moving about streets, armed with flintlock weapons. Then I felt a pressure on my shoulder, it was Reena. She softly pulled my shirt. Understanding her meaning, I got in and closed the door. I looked at Reena. "You have something important to say. Its about the armies odd behavior." She nodded. "Wait a bit until girls come down, so you can tell us all about the grave news." I said while smiling all the while, though I don't know why.

Reena seemed to be taken aback but didn't say anything, just nodded. We slowly walked towards kitchen where Emerald and Sophie was preparing breakfast.

Emerald saw Reena and smiled at her but after looking at her more carefully, she stopped smiling. “Bad news.” She whispered to herself though we heard. She didn't stop what she does though seeming to reach the same conclusion as me. After a while, preparations were done and we were sitting on the table, waiting for the girls.

Right when I was about to go to them, Merideth showed herself at the entrance, followed by others. While looking at them my eyes lingered at Aiko, who seemed to sleep too little. Reason is simple. After Emerald finished molding the ammunition parts, and took enough of our gunpowder, we needed someone to assemble the ammunition. Since we didn't know anyone to do it, who better than the person who will use them right? So we made her do it. She stumbled to her chair and yawned deeply, achieving biggest mouth record. When everyone sat on the table, I turned to Reena. “I hope you didn't come to invite us to send him off.” She shook her head. “I am guessing it wasn't military.”

She nodded. “It wasn't military or marines. We don't know who but it looked like an execution. One shot to the back of the head. There wasn't any sign of him bound in any point of it. That means..”

“Third party came into play. Where was he found?”

“Aren't you curious who it was?”

I looked around, seeing what I expected I would and shrugged. “I have no idea who is who. I didn't even met a single noble. Unless that is, you are one.” She shook her head. “See.”

She smiled sadly. “I will still tell you. I need to say this out laud, if I don't, I might start to believe this isn't real. He was Chanell Celesta. He-.. He was the head of closest family to the royal family. Their roots were deep in this Kingdom and their service too. Its regrettable. Sigh I hope, at least they are the last of the traitors. I don't think I can carry more.”

I held her hand. “Its okay. If you can't, we will help you.” I smiled at her. “Provided you tell us who you really are, of course.”

““Ash.””

“Kid.”

There were some protests but I really needed to learn this. I mean, I already had a guess but it needed to be confirmed by her, or it was going to stay only as that, a guess. That wasn't good enough. Reena took a deep breath. “I will tell you who I am, when you managed to reforge my husband's sword.” I looked up then nodded slowly.

“So, what do you think that triggered it?”

She bit her lip. “Queen asked for nobles to gather on a meeting. I think, they understood what was her intention.”

I shook my head. “That's unlikely. They didn't know who was the person they caught. No one would believe some random girl, when she said some noble was betraying the Kingdom.” I took a deep breath. “You made sure the traitor wasn't someone else right?” A nod. “Well then. We are keeping an eye on the jailed criminals. If they stay imprisoned we don't have to fear a rebellion. That lefts us the third party. They might be a criminal organization or an organization belonging to World Government or another Kingdom.” I looked at Reena who seemed to be in thought. “Reena, does Chia Kingdom has an enemy or rival Kingdom?”

This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

She looked up and thought a little. “Chia has lots of rivals but no enemies. We were always a peace loving Kingdom so we didn't gain any. Our rivals though, comes from commerce. Some don't like us gain much while they gain little. They might be trying to weaken Kingdom to snatch some trade routes.

I nodded. “Do you have any idea what particular country might be doing this?” She just shook her head then sighed. “Don't worry. Whoever they are, they will show themselves if they are intent on weakening this Kingdom. Probably before reforging of the sword. Though even if I reforge the sword, they will just try to steal it. Well, whatever. We will think that later.” Reena nodded. “If you have any men you are sure that are loyal to Kingdom, you should have them take a look at coming ships. They might contain new troops for rebellion or attack on Marine Outpost. Kingdom should pressure them for criminals relocation too if we don't want to fear their release anymore.”

She nodded to that. “We are already trying. It seems they will relocate criminals next week. If they will attack, that should be the time they are going to do it.”

I nodded. “What will be the road they will use?”

She looked at me, confused. “Why do you ask?”

“If they try to free criminals, their best bet would be to cause stir between people. By causing problems among people they can cause a big enough distraction to weaken marines hold on criminals. What I mean to say, is that there shouldn't be any civilian on marines route.”

She nodded. “That's.. I will try to talk with marines to find a way to do it the way you said.” She then turned back to get out but I stopped her.

“Reena.” She turned back to me. She looked the way she always looked since her daughter got caught by criminals, tired. “Doesn't Kingdom has a strategist or someone else to do what you are doing?”

She shook her head. “Since we are peaceful we don't have a strategist. Our Kingdom always acted on its King's or Queen's will. Coming to what I do.. I can find someone else, even I could ask one of your girls” She looked at my eyes. I nodded quickly. She smiled and continued. “but I want to do these myself. If I don't, then I won't be able to sleep.”

I smiled her back. “I understand. Good luck. And don't forget to get rest. Mary and Merideth still working to find the third party on the side.” She nodded and headed towards the door. “That's done. Sophie.” I looked at her. She was eating silently, thinking of something. When she heard me she looked at me. Then her eyes widened like a hunted rabbit. I chuckled. “Do you have something to do today. I was thinking you might, you know, keep me company.” I finished with a wink. She looked around, to probably find an excuse. She stopped when she looked Cassie. She looked at me and opened her mouth but knowing what she is going to say, I shook my head discreetly. She understood and stopped. Slowly nodded instead.

After getting the answer I wanted from Sophie, I started eating. There was as always, bread, butter, some fruits and milk. Sometimes we ate meat too but these were generally what we ate. I looked to find some of the things I liked from before, but couldn't find any of them. There were only cabbages that I know. Other then that, there wasn't any. Everything here looked exotic and odd. Even their tastes was odd. I took one of the fruits on my hand and ate its inside. It was sweet. Then took a small bit from it outside. This was bitter. This is one of the more normal fruits. In some of the fruits whenever you take a bite you taste more then one different things. Some of the times those tastes were the ones you would never think of tasting together. Those are some surprising fruits. We even managed to make it in to a game, but that is a different subject.

We ate our meal in silence. After the breakfast, girls went their way, except Sophie. Emerald headed towards the forge. That left me and Sophie alone. I stood up and got closer to her and sat there. I looked at her face, sure enough she was sweating. “Sophie. Are you afraid of me?” She shook her head. “Then why are you running away from me?” She looked down. “Sophie.”

She sighed. “I don't want to feel like them.” She murmured but I heard her clearly.

“Like who?”

“Other girls.” 'Did I do something wrong?'

“How do they feel? Do they feel bad? Did I do something wrong? Tell me.”

She shook her head. “They don't feel bad. Its just they feel something else. Always. It seemed to consume them.”

“What do you mean? Is that like hate or maybe anger?”

She shook her head. “I think its love.” I gave the breath I was holding. But that confused me all the same. 'Why doesn't she want to feel love?' I asked her that and she looked down again. “They can't think clearly. Whenever they saw you it reignites like a flame. It consumes them, they want to get closer to you but when you don't want them.. they know then master. Then they don't come to you like they wanted to. This makes them sad. As sad as their love. I don't want that sadness. That's why I was running away.”

'It seems I will be catching Katelin. I don't have time for her.' sigh “Its not that I don't want them. Its just that I don't want to make them do it all the time. I thought they wouldn't like that. So I kept myself from doing it.”

“Is that true?” She seemed surprised for some reason.

“Can't you tell?”

She took a deep breath. “Yes.”

I put my face closer to her. “You told me about girls emotions. Tell me. What do I feel.”

She swallowed her saliva. “You feel sad.” I just looked at her. She sighed. “Love and that too.”

I nodded. “That, right? I feel that all the time.” She nodded. “Tell me then. What makes you think I wouldn't want you?”

She looked down. “You were just not there. You went to Katelin everyday for this week and there is Emerald too. We thought you feel that only towards them.”

“Now you know better, so..” She looked at me expectantly. “Why are you still dressed, hm?”

She chuckled and instead taking off my clothes she took me to one of the rooms then started to undress me. After I was naked she started with her shirt while I was taking her skirt and undergarment. When we are both naked I started my ritual of licking the woman's body. After she came second time her consciousness were a bit shaky but she was still standing.

She smiled at me. “Whats next?”

“Next, you're turn.” She tried to get closer but I stopped her. “Not that. Get on your knees on the bed. She looked a bit embarrassed but still did. After she raised her ass I touched her crotch with my son. “Now you will start going back and forward.” She looked at me, puzzled. “I will only start, you will penetrate yourself.”

She sighed. “Isn't it easier if you just do it?”

“Yes. But its better this way. I am starting, get ready.” I said and I penetrated her. Blood leaked from her crotch and kept coming. Then I stopped and starting waiting her. She then slowly started to move.

It continued like this until she passed out. 'Damn. Thanks to Entity, I wished for unlimited stamina. It would be perfect if I wasn't have to go to toilet too.
