Seeing the screen, I whistled. "Now, I know another type of follower." I whispered. I turned to Sora. "Sora, your fatigue must be gone right?" A nod. "Do you feel anything different relative to yesterday."

Sora took a moment to think. "I feel a bit lighter, but that's all."

I chuckled. "That's quite enough." 'If I raise this Skill to max, then I can take away anyone's fatigue in 25 minutes and it is even 'basic' That makes me remember another basic skill. I quickly looked at my skills and found what I have in mind.

Skill Basic Writing 1/25

Increases writing speed and precision by 4%

A skill for writing with a 'Basic' in it. The first time I saw this, I didn't think on it much. Because it was only about writing not a Fighting Skill or an Utility Skill with an obvious value but since it started too seem like a recurring theme I started to wonder if it can give more then that. It can even give the bonus I first thought it would. Bonus to skill books. 'Well, that's another follower.'

I looked at Sora who patiently waiting for me to finish thinking. "So, what do you want to do today?"

She smiled "Fight."

sigh "Okay. Lets eat something first though." After eating we made our way to the Marine Outpost again and found Rodwick.

"Rodwick. Do you have another bounty with a known location?"

sigh "Sadly, no. Since we are understaffed we can't keep tabs on them much but for the same reason it should be easier to find a few of them." I asked a few things I need to know to him. We then took copy of every bounty poster in case we come across them and moved out.

When I asked how we can find them, he told me about an establishment, that's supposed to be full of those kinds of people. After a few minutes the tavern came in our sight. When I saw it, the first think I thought was 'Crap!" but the second thing was "We struck to the gold vein." I turned to my companion who sound of her heartbeat could be heard from a meter away. 'Wait, is she drooling? Whats with woman and drooling? I never do that. Odd.'

"Sora, we are going back. Its about to get dark and we are not ready for this." She looked at me confused. She then pointed at the tavern and made an I want gesture with both of her hands. I shook my head, she pouted but I didn't give in. At the end I came victorious and we started going back towards the shop. Just as we were about to got out of a street, two man with knife and sword respectively cut our way. I turned back just in case, and there was a very big man about 2 meters tall. 'Damn.' I turned to Sora. "Sora, quick, open your face and rush these two. I will try to delay the big one."

Sora quickly nodded and started running towards a nearby thug while opening her face. Seeing her face, thugs are frozen and took hit on their heads one each and passed out. 'Huh, I guess she thought about it.' Since back is taken over, there is only front.

While all those happened, Biggie continued to run towards us. Before he reached us, Sora got in between me and Biggie. She then put on her mask.

"Sora, what are you doing?"

She took a deep breath. "He is strong. Master, stay out of this."

sigh "Okay. Be careful."

She nodded without looking, then charged at Biggie sword on hand, while I was busy picking up the sword that one of the thugs dropped. I stood in a safe distance and watched the duel. Both Sora and Biggie stopped running, and started to circle each other.

First one to break the silence was Sora. She ran forward and swung the sword from top to bottom. Biggie dodged nimbly. Sora started to swing her sword faster and faster but still Biggie dodged all of them with a speed that belies to his big frame. After a few minutes Biggie started to get slower but Sora was still good.

Right when I was about to call it a draw and join the fray, Sora finally scored a hit on the Biggies left shoulder. He couldn't resist and screamed in pain. He jumped back and held his shoulder, thinking he bought some time. But he was wrong. Sora quickly got him on her range and swung her sword at his head, which connected with a loud crack. Man fell like a puppet that its strings cut. I quickly made sure Sora is well and proceeded with the identification of the men. There was only one person with a bounty of 350.000 Beli. Surprisingly it wasn't Biggie but one of the normal men. We bound them all, and Sora hauled the bounty on her shoulder.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

We cautiously moved towards the outpost, thinking there might be other, bigger ambushes but there were none. When we finally reached our target we relaxed a little. We got in and made our way to Rodwick. When we were at the forge, we saw Rodwick reading a paper. He lifted his head up from a paper and looked at us, then the bounty then his face lit up. He quickly got up and came closer. He looked at bounties face and said "Well done! You caught two bounties in two days. You even got Marion! Although he isn't have much on the fighting power, he is very slippery. We were looking for him since two years ago. How did you found him?"

"If he is slippery as you said we must be very lucky then. Since we didn't found him, he found us. While we would like to talk to you about catching criminals, we would like to get our bounty and make our way home since we don't want to be out there while its dark."

He nodded. "Right. Wait for me, I will get your money in a minute." He then called for two marines and went to get the money.

After a minute he came back with a bag like the last time. 'This is a good bag. If we continue like this, we can open a bag shop.' "Here is your money. You are doing good but you need to be careful."

I looked at him and asked seriously. "Why is that?"

sigh "I should have known you wouldn't know." He whispered but I still heard him but before I can press, he continued. "These two criminals you caught works for Vivian Baka. Do you know who he is?"

"The name is familiar but I don't know who he is. Who is he?"

He made a follow gesture with his hand and walked towards the wall with posters on it. He then pointed on one of the poster. It read 'Vivien Baka, Baka Pirates.' I looked at his bounty and remembered where I saw him. He is the freaking two million Beli pirate and we are hunting his subordinates. "He is the most dangerous pirate around here."

'Since we started, why not go all the way?' "What do you know about him?"

"If I tell you, you won't go after him right?"

"No, at least not right away. Don't worry. " I smiled at him. "We know how to protect ourselves."

He nodded. sigh "Very well then. We don't know much of his way of fighting but we know he fights unarmed, with his fists. He has a big group of pirates under his command, for a small town that is." I looked at him questioningly for him to elaborate. "He has a crew of forty-five last we heard but it might have gotten bigger too." I nodded. "But, these are not the things you need to be afraid. What you need to be afraid is that his devil fruit power."

'Well, that was surprising.' "You mean he ate a devil fruit. Then shouldn't he had a higher bounty? It would be understandable if he was new to this, but while we are talking, it felt like he was around for a while now."

Rodwick nodded slowly but his mind was somewhere else. I waited for him to regain his focus. After a short while, he turned to us. Sigh "You are indeed right. We need to raise his bounty but we can't. You see, we are not the ones that decide their bounties, higher ups does that. And they think that since Baka doesn't have much ambition or talent, he doesn't require too much of our precious and limited money."

"Well, that was enlightening. What about the fruit he ate, do you know anything about it?"

"He ate Baka Baka No Mi. This fruit makes everything in Baka's sight to fight like a brawler. Meaning they can't use tactics or strategy. They can't even use their weapon techniques."

"Do you now where he is right now?"

"I don't know where he is, but I know he is not in the town right now."

"Well, that's good. It will give us some time." I turned to the wall with bounties. "So show me the ones that are working for him." He showed me six males with bounties between 300.000-700.000. He told us about what he knew about them. All things considered they were nothing special, just normal criminals. But still, I don't want to caught unprepared, after all, there might be a bigger ambush next time. After the talk with him, we said goodbyes and went our own way. We quickly gotten in to a dark alley, and started going circles to throw of any stalker, though it didn't seem there were any.

When we got in the house, we put the money near other one and went to sleep.

Next day after the breakfast, Sora returned to her previous routine and I went to forge to make something special, a dumbbell. I lit up the forge and started working, then Focus activated. I finished the first. It wasn't very heavy. Since it wouldn't be used, I put it aside and started to make something heavier. That done, I lifted it with a grunt and made my way to Sora.

When I saw her, she was swinging her sword. "Sora."

She turned to me. She looked at the weight sitting before my feet. "What is it master?"

"I made you something." I pointed at the weight. "This is a dumbbell. It is used for strength training. Come on. Lets see if you can lift it." She put her hand on to the dumbbell and tried to lift but she failed. After a minutes of effort her face became red as a tomato. She stopped trying and looked at me helplessly. I lifted the weight and put it aside out of the range of peoples toes. Got the first one I made and gave it to Sora instead. She lifted it although a bit forcefully. I took the dumbbell back and showed her how to work her arms safely. "We will start with your arms to see if strength will be distributed evenly on your body or as it should be, localized on your arms. When you are no longer capable of moving, call for me."

After the talk with Sora I went to the bedroom and sat on the bed legs crossed. Put my hands on my knees and started meditating and waited for focus to activate but it didn't. 'Hmm. Maybe I need to think on something, after all its said that meditation is a way to enlightenment.' I started thinking about blacksmithing in general but it didn't work. After some thought on what to do, I started imagining forging katana on my head. At first it was hard to keep the image but slowly it gotten easier and easier.

After quenching my blade, I held it with tongs and it was somehow perfect. I felt happy, since this is the first time I managed to make a perfect blade. Now I can make swords with average or good quality but they were no where near this perfect. I tried to remember how I forged this blade but the memory was running away from me. I tried to think about the things I normally do when forging. While doing this, the memory I am chasing sometimes gotten closer and sometimes further, in the end, I failed to grasp it.

I opened my eyes. "That- I was in a trance. That was so amazing!"

Sora came inside looking at me suspiciously. "What did you do?" She asked hand in her sword.

I laughed and held up my hands. "No, that's not what you think. I found another great skill." I told her what happened and luckily managed to mollify her enough to prevent the usage of extreme violence. After I told her everything, she tried to do the same, so I helped her but no matter what we tried, it didn't work. Disappointed, she got back to her training.

That left me alone with my feelings, I wasn't this excited since I came to this world.. Well, if you don't count the moments with the Master and Sora's body or.. Okay. It was pretty exciting here but still.. This was an equally exciting moment. This after all, might be a world breaking skill or something you only use for academic purposes. Taking a deep breath I opened the windows.

Skill Acquired Meditation 1/1

Gives a chance to gain a skill level for the Skill used per iteration.

Iteration time scales with Skill Level.

Effect capped by INT.

Effect scales with INT and Focus, and negatively influenced by the level of used Skill.

Whistle "This is a great skill. It says per iteration. I wonder how much time an iteration takes. I have high Int and if we count the fact that I have perfect focus, this Skill should come in very handy. It is bad that it only has one level though. I would love to grind this one." After living that moment, I took a look at other screens."

'So it gives levels to related sub skills too. This Skill gets greater and greater.' I then went where Sora was. "Sora. How many times did you swing your sword until you heard my voice?"

"It should be around 150 swings. Why did you ask?"

"I was just curious about how much time it takes for my skill to end." She nodded and continued swinging her sword. I made my way to the bed while thinking. 'Its sad to see her keep swinging her sword. I need to find something for her to pass time.' I shook my head.' I can deal with this later, when master comes. We just came from a fight anyway, so her bored meter should be reset like mine.'

Then I sat on the bed and started meditating.
