"You thought even we know something," Michael asked.

Mora looked up in the sky and said, "Normally, only gene weapon users are sent on this type of mission because aura and special ability users are too important of a commodity to send on a scouting mission."

"Why do you think now that we do not know anything," asked Michael.

"Have you seen your partner when she is fighting? She got no clue who to focus on when healing a wound or rejuvenating the spirit. She pretty much uses brute force to make her way throughout the fight," said Mora. "Who would send an aura user like her on a mission like this one. If they know the danger."

"Aria does have talent, but she has not fought on the front line a lot. So, she got no experience," said Michael.

"I have a question, is she is the daughter of your previous leader," asked Mora.

"Yeah! She is the leader's daughter," answered Michael.

"I do have guessed her identity, and the same goes for the other people in the team," said Mora.

"Well, we never wanted to hide it," said Michael.

"I will say this that aura users are rare, which makes them special so, if you do want to support her or be with her. You have to be special also, or at least do something that makes you special," said Mora.

"I just want her to be happy and nothing else," said Michael, and moved to a different location.

"Another guy who does not understand their feeling," Mora thought, rebutting him.

After one by one, the pair changed for the night watch in the end. Aria and Mellow were the last pair. The morning was about to come when mellow heard some voices. Mellow stood up from this place and went to look. After a while, he came running back.

"Aria, wake up everyone. Monsters are coming towards our way," yelled Mellow.

Aria went to wake up everyone while mellow activated his Gene Gun.

"Wake up! Michael, monsters are coming towards us," Aria tried to wake up Michael.

"What happened, Aria. Why are you screaming?" said Michael in half woken up voice.

"Monsters are attacking us, Michael," Aria screamed.

Finally, Michael woke up, but by the time he sat up and went to look outside. Mora and Emily were already standing outside their tent.

"Aria, go wake up the rest of them," Michael said.

While the remaining three went to help Mellow. Mellow has already started shooting. Monsters are getting taken down one by one. The other three also joined Mellow.

The good thing is monsters are only coming from one side. So, they do not have to take about their back. By the time Greybeard, Anna, and Chris woke up. Monsters were almost in close range of Mellow.

Greybeard and Aria activated their aura and started to help them. Mellow barely managed to dodge a strike from a monster, when Chris helped him by killing the monster.

"Aria, heal Mellow. Michael, take his place," screamed Mora while shooting at monsters. "Chris and Anna, go check how big of a horde this is and also try to find an opening,"

Aria went to heal Mellow. Followed by Michael taking his place, Chris and Anna activated their ability and went to check the size of the horde. Greybeard activated his aura and started to provide help. They were barely able to keep the momentum of monsters in check.

Anna and Chris returned a few minutes later, "There are no openings, the size of the horde is even larger than the last. We will not be able to kill them all, plus our gene spirit has not completely restored. It will make it even more impossible," said Chris.

Everyone was startled after hearing that!

"Our only open way is the ruin," added Anna.

Everyone knows that going inside the ruin is dangerous, but staying here might be even more. In the end, they all know what decision to make.

"Let's move towards the ruin, but one of you needs to go back and inform the city about our predicament," said Greybeard.

"Let Anna go to inform the city, her stamina is better than me plus my special ability is better for scouting while her is better for hiding," Chris said.

"No" screamed Anna, but before she can say anything else, Greybeard interrupts her. "Ok! Anna will inform the city everyone else, start moving towards the ruin,"

The rest of the people did not see Anna's face, but Aria did. She saw tears in her eyes and the same for Chris. She did understand that they know each other beforehand.

A team of seven now started moving towards the ruin, with four guns used in the rear. Chris in the front, and the two aura users in the middle, while Anna has already vanished like she was never there.

The team finally entered the ruin and closed the entrance with a boulder.

"Now, where should we go," asked Michael.

"There is an underground ruin up the head, a few members of the roger family noticed it while trying to dig deep in search of who knows what," Greybeard said.

Mora continued, "I know which hole takes us to underground ruin. I was part of the exploration team for black knight corps,"

"But what kind of ruin this is," asked Michael.

"Most of the information is kept secret by all the organization, especially since the orders came from Ministry and Academy. Even I do not know what kind of ruin this is?" said Mellow, looking towards Mora.

"It is okay to tell you all. Since you all are going to know about it anyway," said Greybeard. "It is an underground city, and according to Ministry it once belongs to some sage of old times."

Michael, Aria, Mellow, and Chris were surprised knowing that sages were considered the most outstanding and respected people of their time. Now, one of their ruin is discovered near Black Lore City.
