Book 1-III: War Angel

"Just be sure in your heart that I will be coming for you young man, and your stupid son!" And with that the devil disappeared. If he could say all that just because I didn't choose his faction well he can..

"Go suck a dick!" Again I said that out loud, what was wrong with me. If I had to talk, it usually took concious effort from me, but now the words just came out before I even knew it was going to.

"You shouldn't worry about his threats child, he has no way of reaching you, not unless you go looking for him. Anyway I welcome you to faction of Zion and bestow the blessing of the Father upon you."

[You Have Received The Blessings Of The Father! +50% Exp Aquisition for 1 year, effect can stack with other blessings/Buffs. +10 extra path points per level for 1 month, all Mastery skills leveling increased by 100% for 2 weeks, 5Extra ressurection per month for a year. Received the Path Of Heaven 0/100]

I blinked my eyes as the stream of rewards floated in my face. They were too good to be true, but the one that really hit me was the ressurection. Deaths had secret penalties in this game, you would lose stats and Path points for 24 hours, with the effects stacking if you die again. But the real curve ball is that in a month you can only die and be ressurected twice. If you die you will have to wait till the next month before you can log in again. The penalty was harsh, but extra ressurections can be bought and gained or won. If you slay demons or angels, or now that it's obvious to me, members of the opposite faction or even your own you will gain the remainder of that person's resurrection.

Monsters don't drop ressurection, not even the ones classified as bosses. Neither do the NPC's of the game. Only the players can do so, which encouraged PvP on a whole other level. Everyone wanted a chance to live just a little bit longer and triumph. But with 5 extra ressurections per month, it more than showed me why and how the Zion Faction have been able to keep up even if they were loosing, after all from the 9th highest ranked player downwards they were Zion faction players.

"Now I would ask that you choose a race young man, you have been here a while after all. So what would it be."

ANGEL

NEPHILLIM

HUMAN

SPIRIT

Angels are a race of winged beings in service to God. By virtue of choosing this race you choose to become a front line fighter in the war against the Lightbringer faction. The angel race is sub-divided into Messenger Angel, Guardian Angel, War Angels.

[Messenger Angels are built for speed with a +3 Bonus to Agility and Dexterity every level and extra 2 stats and Path points for allocation.]

[Guardian Angels are defenders, being the first line of defense against any and all attacks. They have a + 6 bonus to Vitality every level and. +2 to stat and path points ever level.]

This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

[War Angels live their lives on the battlefield. They are all rounders of combat, serving the role of fighter, defender and healer. They have a +1 to all Stats every level except strength which is a +2. They receive a bonus 1 stat and path points every level.]

The Nephillim are the half-blood children of angels and other races. They have most of the gifts of their parents and are wild cards on the battlefield almost usually matching the demons and angels blow for blow. They only have two sub-races. The Human Born and The Spirit Born. This race is currently locked! There is no description available at the moment.

Humans are basic, the template and the weakest of all the races. However there are also the race with the most potential. They have no sub-races which makes it easier for them to ascend to other races without loosing their racial bonus of + 3 to all Stats every level, and + 4 stat and path points per level and a 30% bonus to exp and skill levels.

Spirits are the personification of the nature and elements of the world. They are conduits for the divine and usually always paired with an angel or Nephillim and very rarely with a human. They can take in any shape or form but are based primarily on the elements of Air, Water, Earth, and Holy Light. They have individual elemental bonuses but a collective bonus of + 3 to Faith every Level, + 5 path points and 2 stat points every level.

[Earth Spirits have a bonus of +5 to vitality every 2 levels]

[Air Spirits Have a +3 to both Agility and Dexterity every 2 levels]

[Water Spirits have a + 2 to faith, Dexterity and Vitality every 2 levels]

[Holy Light Spirits have a +5 to Faith every two levels]

There were no illustration of the races, just descriptions, but I already knew what I wanted. Going into detail about the pros and cons of the other races would be pretty much annoying. The bottom line is Angels had wings and I wanted wings, and the chance to swing a flaming sword through swathes of demonic enemies. I might have this Autism as the doctors want to be believe, but I'm still one of those guys who wants to live in their fantasies.

"I choose War Angel. Now what's next?" I asked Jesus as he gave me a small smile from behind the pulpit.

"Well you pick a name and receive the gifts you brought with you from earth. I believe you have a Diamond lottery ticket after all." I nodded my head as I let a struggling Leon down, for some reason he seems to want to explore and with the devil absent I was calm enough to let him do so, the floor was virtual so I don't have to worry about dirt and disease.

"AZ-RAEL!"

"You means to take the name of the Arch-Angel Azrael? I don't think he would like that." Jesus said with a chuckle, but nothing else as a flash of light surrounded my form and in restrospect Leon too as I suddenly found myself in grey clothes. Brown boots with buckles and a leather belt with a sword hanging from it. White hair cascaded down my face, but thankfully it was still in my signature dreads.

"You will gain wings as you level up, but you will have to become worthy to own a halo. But all this is information you will find out eventually. Now for the lottery!" Jesus said while spreading his hand in a flourish as Leon clapped his hands in joy, tiny wings popping out of his back as he wiggled around in a white robe, I couldn't help but to smile too. Jesus had as much charisma as the devil but the kind that was warm, like a big elder brother and not like the superstar/cult leader rockstar vibe Lucifer had.

A massive Halo appeared in front of me and began to spin, runes or symbols of some sort etched in different parts of it glowed as they moved so fast. The halo picked up speed, moving so fast that the wind from it blew my hair back, and then it came to a stop.

[You Have Received The Ship Of Simon Peter: Storm Walker]

I raised an eyebrow, even Jesus seemed surprised as he looked at me and then at Leon.

"That's completely unexpected to say the least, but it seems your son's presence has brought you great luck. This ship served the apostle well, do right by it and do not forget it's mandate for existence. Now moving on."

[You Have Received 10,000 gold coins]

[You Have Received [Nameless] Manor and 10 Hectares Of Land on the Isle of New Ire]

[3000 thousand US Dollars Have been Deposited into Your Account From Romantic Limited!]

"Now child, you will have to let the system take care of little Leon while you set up your Manor and hire a nanny and guard for the child. Now go forth and do great things, the world awaits." I turned to grab Leon, I didn't know the system was going to seperate us, but there was a flash of light and I was gone, leaving Jesus Christ and a 1 year old with a penchant for crying his lungs out when his dad is not close to him.

"Now.... What do I do with you?" Jesus Christ asked, and Leon's response were eyes that were gradually beginning to water as he took a deep breath.
