Cyrus pondered the new topic. It seemed to alternate between non-combat and crafting. Either way, he walked through the doorway. When he walked through, a wooden room materialized around him. Similar to the first room, there was a set of rules as well as different ingredients and workstations around the room. The room was well-lit and very comfortable. The rules were almost identical to the rules from the blacksmithing tutorial, only they applied to alchemy, not metal. Once again, a small written tutorial was given. It explained how the “essence” of different ingredients such as herbs, flowers, monster parts, etc. are extracted through a variety of methods. You have to purify the ingredients and then pull the essence out with magic. Usually, this purification is done through distillation. Then, these essences are combined to make an alchemical product. The paper also gave 3 basic recipes; a mana potion, a health potion, and a stamina potion. Cyrus started with the mana potion. It needed 2 ingredients in a 1:1 ratio. Moon petal essence and arcane grass essence. He spent the next few minutes trying to “pull” the essence from the moon petals that were given. After a little bit, he was successful.
Moon Petal Essence:
COMMON (10% Purity)
Essence of the Moon Petal
Used In Alchemy
Can Be Used By Anyone
This also leveled up his mana control skill, which he was happy with. The metals he worked with before didn’t have a purity rating, but they were supplied by the system he supposed. He did the same process with the arcane grass and received a similar item. Then he took the essences, put them in a glass vial of water, and mixed.
Mana Potion:
COMMON (10% Purity)
Recovers 100MP When Consumed
So anyway, I started blasting
Well, it was so weak to be almost useless, but he did get the alchemy skill.

Cyrus slowly worked his way through every ingredient in the room and created as many potions as possible. He left some for a little experimentation though. By the end, he had 5 useable potions of each type.
Mana Potion:

Recovers 500MP When Consumed

Stamina Potion:

Massage in a bottle
Cyrus chuckled at the flavor text. He next used his remaining ingredients to mess around with, trying different techniques with the various machines that were around the room. Some of his experiments were successes, but he would have to make some more attempts to understand it better. His most successful attempt was his last one. He mixed ingredients from a health and stamina potion, then distilled it, then extracted the essence. He did this with all the ingredients and then mixed them in a final vial.
Hamina Potion:
UNCOMMON (70% Purity)
Recovers 700SP and 700HP When Consumed
I don’t think that’s a word

Difficult Alchemy
Create a Rare Item in 4 Hours
Good Luck
Oh. It was harder this time. He looked around the new room. There were more ingredients and similar machines, but the recipes and tutorials were gone. Time to experiment! Some of the ingredients required a higher level of alchemy to use, so he would have to stick with lower-end stuff. One thing that wasn’t in the previous room was an empty notebook, most likely to be used for note-taking. And note taking he did. Cyrus tried every ingredient with every machine, documenting the purity of each, and tried different combinations and methods for creating potions. It was quite fascinating to see the difference between the ingredients. The masher helped purify mooned petals at a high level while it totally destroyed vital buds. With a notebook full of information about 12 ingredients, some leveled-up skills, and about an hour left of time, it was time to make a rare item. His first 3 ingredients of choice would be arcane grass, vital buds, and energy roots. He mashed the energy roots, sliced the vital buds, and boiled the arcane grass. Then, Cyrus slowly extracted the essence from each and mixed them in with magically imbued water. He did not imbue his magic to finish the potion yet, because he wasn’t done. Next, he took some cut salamander tail and a small amount of troll blood and infused those into the mixture while imbuing his magic. This completed his potion. It took him almost 50 minutes to complete it, but it was worth it. Cyrus thought that this was an impressive feat for only a few hours.

Fourth Topic: Resistances
Good Luck
Warning!
This Tutorial Will Be Immensely Painful

You Will Lose Possible Rewards
Stay/Leave
Well, wasn’t that reassuring? Cyrus took a few moments to consider the pros and cons, but he made a decision. He would survive, and any power was worth the pain. He would stay. The room moped around him. He looked around the new room and found something very unsettling. He seemed to be in some sort of torture chamber.

Shit. 10 hours was crazy. There was no intro section, just a challenge. He readied himself for the pain to come. Flames erupted from the wall behind him, scorching his back. He screamed. Lighting struck his head from above, and he screamed more. Luckily for Cyrus, he did already have the pain resistance skill, so the pain wasn’t debilitating, but he already lost a few hundred HP. Flames leaped from around the room, and lightning hit his body constantly. He reached 200 HP and drank his worst few health potions. He already gained a resistance skill for fire and lightning, but it seemed as though the attacks were getting stronger. Through the pain, he tried to keep mana flowing through his body, using his empowering skill on himself, and it seemed to work. It drained his mana fast, but if he anticipated when the next attack would come, he could empower himself in short bursts. Soon enough, or maybe it had been a while, more tracks started. He was blasted with water and ice, smashed with arcane blasts, and struck with poison and blight. Cyrus’s mind was foggy. He had heard many level-up notifications but was too focused on his HP to care. The pain was immeasurable and he was low on potions. He was battered with curses and death next, but he just crawled into a fetal position and continued to circulate mana. Darkness, light; Dust and Ash; Earth and Wind; Heat and Lava; Gems and Metals. He was down to his final potion, the rare potion he made at the end of the last sections. His tears had dried up, his body was in shreds. He drank the potion. Cyrus felt invigorated, but he could barely think. Earlier he had dumped all his stat points in resistance, but it wasn’t enough. 1000. 800. He was battered with who knows what. 600. NO. 400. I. 300. WILL. 200. SURVIVE. 100. It stopped. His body glowed. No matter what hit him, his HP stopped moving.
