Although the new class 13 was probably an issue, it wasn’t like there was no silver lining. I had learned a few things. Firstly, they enjoyed being very showy.
To them, the prison escapade was about showing off their talents. They wanted to get attention, probably from me, or another class 13 if there was another one watching. Which wasn’t impossible, although highly unlikely.
Additionally, like me, class 13s can hide in plain site despite our abnormalities. The fact that this fellow wasn't doing it meant that the whole thing was, in fact, not an act. He was acting real? So real that she thought he was fake. Well, he was pretending to be me so I guess his act was kind of fake, even if he was really acting like a class 13.
But most importantly, whatever this imposter’s goal was, it somehow involved ASMR and likely the class 12s. That whole thing they just did was meant to make ASMR take me more seriously and introduce themselves to the class 12s. The only questionable thing was how this involved me? I was clearly involved in his plans in some way.
I can easily outsmart ASMR, but another class 13 who’s been hiding in the dark and targeting me secretly? Probably not. I'm not an idiot, I know when I'm looking at someone of a similar caliber!
So I stayed there on my branch and thought hard.
There was not a very good chance that whatever this class 13 wanted would be in the way of Parrotise. However, there was a crazy high chance that he planned to use Parrotise for his own nefarious purposes! The only reason not to stop me but still reveal himself was because I had something, or would get something that he couldn’t get if I was put in prison.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
And most likely, that thing was Parrotise.
Yeah, there was only one thing I could do to start taking some pre-emptive measures against whatever this new class 13s plans were. I had to free the class 12s and bring them to my side.
In the past I never needed teammates; I never needed to threaten anyone to do my bidding either because no one could do even 20% of what I could do myself. Most people also couldn't handle the consequences of working alongside me and would probably get me caught...
The class 12s were the closest, at maybe 15%. But against another class 13, who could potentially be smarter than me, 15% could be the difference between saving and destroying the world.
…
“Like I said, I’m Torra,” the strange man said calmly.
“No, you’re not. I don’t know what he did to threaten you, but you can trust me to help you. I know he’s a prolific hacker, so right now we’re in a cell without any electronics. You’re safe to tell me anything here,” Captain Wayfinder spoke carefully in a candlelit interrogation room.
The strange man was excited by the environment.
“May I get some food?” He asked.
Captain Wayfinder sighed and then got up. “Fine, stay here.”
She understood that getting real information out of this phony would require some patience. As long as she got him to trust her, he would talk. A few moments later she brought back 2 trays of food.
The strange man smiled sweetly at her.
He was over the moon. He finally got one. He finally got… a girl to bring him on a candle lit dinner date… and it was the girl he liked no less...
