The two abyssal wolves pinched Mila from both sides to overwhelm her. [(crimson pulse) double strike] She charged towards one abyssal wolf to give herself extra time. But then her target’s jewel lit up in a moment, bursting with plasma.
*PANG*
‘Sorry doggies, my affinity with plasma is much higher than yours. Hence, my resistance is higher than what you can deal!’
The lightning strike failed to affect her, allowing her to begin her strikes. She struck the top of its muzzle, throwing its head and shoulders to its right. While deepening her stride, she dug into the underbelly of the wolf. The gashes were deep, knocking the wolf back.
“Gee you’re still alive!?”
She tucked and turned her blade and body to the right to receive the bite with her blade from behind her. She could feel pin and needle enveloping her body as the abyssal wolf pushed its jewel to the max, creating a lightning field no different to a tesla coil. The wolf attempted to claw into her as well, but she raised her foot to curb stomp the wolf in the stomach where her coot caught onto. she repeated herself until the wolf’s guts were mush.
“Suicidal wolf. My hands are trembling from that.”
The lightning field overloaded her nerves, creating a sensation akin to pins and needles throughout her body. Although it only amounted to superficial damage. The last abyssal wolf was limping away, making a pleading howl.

“Great, the Pack leader is here already.”
*PANG-P-PANG*
An Abyssal Wolf leader had appeared, and the strikes stuck Mila’s shoulders and chest. Causing her to gasp for air as the force hitting her chest nearly knocked the wind out of her. Her eyes locked onto the leader's with determination. The Pack leader wrapped itself in lightning armor, akin to a rib cage. The heat from the Jewel was bursting, blowing away the surrounding brush.
“Here’s a gift for your troubles!”
[(Crimson pulse) Exploding Torrent.] She threw her blade towards the wolf and the blade exploded with the dark crimson blood as lightning surged the area. The pack leader died without realizing it. Turns out even the injured one was not far behind it, burned to a crisp. The pack leader had mild burns, but the blood left holes akin to bullets.
“I am so glad I found learned how to do this. I still never knew something could be so violent. Otherwise I’d be in serious trouble.”
This single ability Mila found out gave her mother Audrey the confidence to let Mila hunt on her own. Otherwise, she couldn’t hunt on her own.
“Alright, let’s collect these gems. They fetch a good price at Mystery Meats. I kinda wished I didn’t burn the last one to charcoal, though. And I don’t know if ‘Holy’ meat makes for good cooking.”
Mila made her way to all the carcasses, cleaned them up and cut the gems, although the pack leader’s gem was closer to a refined jewel than a rough gem.
“Alright this is good enough for one day. I’ll come back for the traps later, but these wolves catch a decent price.”
Mila finished up her business and made the last half of her journey to Stellar’s rest. The coniferous forest surrounded Mila as she continued on her trail. Roots and bushes obstructed her path, but her familiarity kept her at a good pace. Even rivers and lakes presented themselves along the path. Finally, she puffed her chest in satisfaction at reaching the village in good time. Ron’s Smithy was the closest building that greeted her, while Mystery Meats was the next building over.
“Woah who are those guys?”
