Normal day part 1

August 10 2017

This is a village named Stellar’s rest in the abyssal forest. A region divided by countless ocean straits located southwest of the lunar capital. There was a 2 story tall house located just a half mile west of the village connected by a rough trail. In this house was Audrey and Mila, just finished having breakfast.

“Thanks mom for the eggs and potatoes. What was it called again?”

“tapeta par Eda, but eggs and potatoes are close enough.”

“alright I am ready to go!”

“Here’s your pack.”

Audrey gave Mila a decent sized pack with cages hooked to it. She swiftly puts the pack on and inspects one cage. Quickly unhooking it, she inspects the quality of the cages.

“Yup, they still look good to use mom!”

“That’s good dear. This will be your first time on your own before the Academy trails tomorrow. work hard to impress me now, okay?”

“Yes mom, love you!”

Mila gave her mom an endearing hug before rushing out the door.

“Be careful now. Those wolves have a nasty bite.”

“Gee, their bites is what got you worried?”

Audrey smiles gently while giving a soft chuckle.

“You know what I mean. Love you and see you at the end of the day.”

There was a soft grass surrounding the house before leading to a trail. Mila gave her mom one more look before returning the cage to its hook. The ever green pine trees surrounded the house densely, and large leaved bushes covered most of the ground. The trail was far from smooth as the tree roots littered the path, even making hills of certain lengths of the trail. But Mila traveled this path familiarly, making quick work of the ankle breaking path. Coming to an open area, she scouted the small game trails, looking for optimal places to catch some Hares.

Then something was wrong; Mila could sense something was watching her closely. Mila dropped her pack as she spun around.

Note here: animals of the abyssal forest gained its reputation for all of its animals being strictly black. The mystery has persisted since the islands were first settled upon.

Mila pulled a handle from her right side of the belt and swung the blade in front of her. Her left hand grabbed her right forearm to focus on the handle. Blood spurted from the handle, reforming its shape into a short sword. Then she surged scorching hot plasma, bursting with heat that was blowing her oversized trench coat and hair around. If She hadn’t tied it up, it would surely be a mess, even the surrounding bushes rustled from the pressure. In a single moment, the blood became metallic.

“Hello Mr. wolf, how nice of you to show up right in front of me.”

Mila took in her surroundings, feeling the cool breeze of the abyssal forest, the crisp air, the heat of the pulsating plasma blade in her hand, and the tension of the wolves sizing her up. The wolves in front of her examined her very being, but they overestimate themselves this time.

‘These abyssal wolves seem to underestimate me, that in itself wins me this fight.’

Two separated to the sides, sprinting at her as the center wolf charged right at her. [(Crimson pulse): slash and thrust] Mila leaned into her stride, swinging her blade down cross ways, then bringing her blade in and thrusting towards her target. [(Crimson pulse): slash] In two swift moves, she killed the arrogant wolf. The red jewel on its nape had shattered before the fight.

‘No wonder you recklessly charged right in.’
