“There appears to be a person beside your belongings.” Stilicho said.
Jasmine squinted her eyes to see more clearly.
“It’s Jackson.” she said. “He’s my friend.”
Stilicho flew closer toward Jackson, and landed beside him.
Jackson was squatting beside Jasmine’s belongings at first, but when he saw Stilicho and Jasmine, he immediately sprang up.
He lifted the gun he held on with his right hand, and pointed toward Stilicho.
“Jasmine!” he said. “Stay away from this robot!”
“Wait !” Jasmine said. “Stilicho is not a bad robot, he helped me out of the hole.”
Jackson still held his gun up high, and kept observing Stilicho’s every move.
“Never heard a robot would help humans,” said Jackson. “This might be a trap.”
“Jackson,” said Stilicho. “I guarantee that I meant no harm toward you and Jasmine."
“Don’t call my name !”
"Jackson! Please!” Jasmine pleaded. “Let me explain.”
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
After seeing Jasmine’s face, Jackson slowly put down his hand gun, but his eyes was still fixed on Stilicho.
“If you do anything strange,” he said. “I’ll blow your head in pieces, Robot.”
Jasmine collected her scattered belongings with Stilicho helping. Jackson tried to restart her scooter, while Stilicho went down the hole Jasmine fell into to collect her lost backpacks.
While Stilicho was not present, Jackson spoke quietly to Jasmine.
“Are you sure the robot isn’t threatening you ?" he asked.
In response to his suspicion, Jasmine rolled her eyes backward and signed.
“You just can’t trust me can you ?” she asked. “I already explained the situation to you.”
"I understand, I understand,” Jackson raised his hands and said. “It’s just, you don’t know how dangerous those machines are. I’m not asking you to kill it, let’s just part ways with it here, it’s not too late now.
“Stilicho promised to help me find dad and mom,” said Jasmine. “We need him.”
“Do we? I can help you too.”
“Do you have biological scanners and floating devices that pop out from your hand?” Jasmine asked.
Meanwhile, Stilicho emerged from the ground with Jasmine’s backpack in his hands.
“Let’s go,” said Jasmine as she received her backpack from Stilicho. “It’s late today, I have to go home and check on Daniel. We will continue the search tomorrow.”
“Wait a second. He can’t go into the city like this.” Jackson said pointing at Stilicho. “We will be captured the moment we enter the gates."
“Don’t worry,” said Stilicho. “I can solve this problem.”
Some lights with random colors flashed within Stilicho’s eyes, and Stilicho’s iron skin started to change color. From its original blackness, it slowly turns brown like the sand on the ground, then becomes red, before it completely blends into the color of sunset.
“You become…invisible !” Jasmine exclaimed.
“This is the same technology as the roof of the dungeon,” said Stilicho. “This mode does cost a lot of energy, so I hope you have a charger in your house.”
