The day began early as Janus’ attendants woke me and Paul up. Today would be the day of the summit and everyone with the rank of Commander and above are to be in attendance. Paul was allowed to come upon my request.
Foregoing breakfast, we quickly headed to the station where we are to welcome King Leonid III of the United Kingdoms of Kyther.
The King’s passage through Rhapsody was kept secret so that no one would know of their involvement in the upcoming conflict. From what I heard, their journey was quite long, beginning at the city of Kyther and passing through the Baravian Bay to reach the Port of Galilei, where they then traveled by carriage and under heavy disguise to the Rhapsody Capital of Galileo. Upon arriving there, they traveled by train directly to Alsace, which we now await.
Lord Heidenburg has joined us at some point, and I can also see Sir Lucius and Lord Iulius in the crowd. All of us wore our best clothes, it seems. Then again, we’re about to greet the King of the United Kingdoms of Kyther.
Anticipation filled the air as the first whistle of the train roared through the air. At this moment, I noticed that the Duke was at the very front of the platform, surrounded by the three governors.
The whistles grew louder as the train continued its approach, eventually ending with a loud hiss that filled the station. Steam rose high up to the sky as all eyes fell on the only occupied coach of the train. The sliding door opened with a metallic clang and from the opposite side came the guest of honor. King Leonid III of the United Kingdoms of Kyther has arrived here at Alsace, Lorraine.

After the brief ceremony on the station, we all escorted the King and the Duke back to Alsace Castle. The summit was to be held in the Room of Gears on top of the Royal Clock Tower of the castle where the Treaty of Alsace was signed, signifying the end of the 13 Years’ War between the Kytherian Empire and the Republic of Interio.
The meeting table was set on an actual gear, one that tracks the hour of the day. A project of Emperor Lorraine II, this tower and this room has long since been hailed as one of the greatest marvels of the world. In particular, the shape of the gears within this tower forms a rune that causes a domino effect to turn the lights of the city on and off around nightfall and daybreak respectively. A perfect union between the mystical properties of runesmith and the mechanical marvel of the age.

But enough about the architecture.
The meeting was brief and was mostly just a repeat of what has already been said before first when the Duke summoned the Governors and again within the Duke’s letter following his meeting with Prince Eoster. The plan that we formulated back then would proceed, with Governors Janus and Caelum taking position in Bohemia and Figaro respectively in order to meet the Kytherian advance.
Additionally, the Kingdom of Interio will also be mobilizing their army and amassing them by the Kytherian border, ready to invade at a moment’s notice. Similarly, King Leonid gave the same sentiments, however he apologized for it would take him a while to actually assemble an army for the United Kingdoms.
Understandably so considering that, from what I’ve read, the United Kingdoms have no standing army and instead levies their citizens through the various Principalities within. Given time, they can probably provide a massive amount of soldiers, more than what either Lorraine and Rhapsody can muster combined.
At the end of the meeting, the four leaders of their nation signed a treaty officiating what has been discussed here. All eyes were on Duke Jupiter as he dipped his pen on an inkwell, one filled with the blood of the signatories. The pen that he used soon came into contact with the paper that the document was written on and, after a few long seconds, it was lifted. This singular action marked the creation of the Anti-Kytherean League.
Ironically enough, as the United Kingdoms of Kyther was one of the signatories.
More importantly, however, this also served as an unofficial declaration of war between the Lorraine, Interio, Rhapsody, and United Kyther against the Kytherean Empire and its vassals.

In the days following the signing of the Treaty of the Clock Tower, all soldiers within Camp Mark began shipping out into their respective positions. Each of the armies were given free reign as to how they wanted to reach their positions, and so Governor Janus called all officers higher than the rank of Commander to his office to discuss it.
Our army is to take position in Bohem on the far side of Rhapsody, near the United Kingdoms’ border. If we were to make that journey by foot, it would take us at least a month to get there. It would be the most reliable method, but one month is far too long of a time given our schedule.
Another possible method would be to travel by train, however another problem arose with that as Governor Caelum has already beaten us in the use of most trains, so it would still take too long to transfer our troops.
Governor Janus and his Lieutenants have been pondering that for a few days now before they called this meeting.
“Gentlemen, we will start our departures tomorrow. Make sure your men are up before dawn.” He said.
