I shouted. I shouted as loud as I can as I do my best to cheer my self up.
While doing the “guts” pose a number of times I head to the bathroom.
Then after turning the faucet I left the tub to fill and decided to do some small chores while waiting.
First on the list is dry laundries! since I’m usually alone the clothes are mine only, So it will not be much of a bother.
*rustle rustle* Done! Doesn’t even take more than a minute~
Next is… dishes? No… I ate dinner outside yesterday so no dishes today.
Hmm… what else… oh yeah I haven’t done——— *rustle rustle rustle*
Alright! All done!
While basking in the satisfaction of doing some menial chores, the alarm that I had set on my phone ringed. And so while stretching my back I made my way to the bathroom.
“Yup it’s filled alright!”
With a smile I turned the faucet and watched the water stopped flowing with its last drop making a satisfying sound.
“Now~ to get a towel and enjoy my long awaited———— what?”
Just when I was about to turn my back something unbelievable happened in front of me.

Out of thin air some difficult looking pattern appeared inside a floating faint circle.
“…is that a magic circle?”
I have read my fair share of fantasy story too but… is this really real?
In a beat, the circle released a very bright light. I didn’t feel any danger from the light but the light is still very bright so I reflexively closed my eyes for a moment.
Then when I opened my eyes… a blue blob like thing is floating on top the water.

“Umu… it seems the teleportation works properly.”
It felt nauseating but still manageable. The execution for the teleportation magic was by no means bad but…
“It maybe the consequence for trying to send 100 S-class monsters all at once with only 500 magician-class monsters or so… well anyway… is that quivering guy my master?”
I observe his movements for a while before he suddenly shouted—
“Right~? Of course the result would be nonsensical~ right? Wait NO!? anyone tell me just what is going on?!”

Is this guy really my master? Erm no… first thing first… I have to finish the mission before everything else.
When I tried to move my body I realized that I am floating on a body of water. I moved left and right, I tried to roll around but the result was nothing.
“I can’t move…”
Then suddenly the quivering guy—my supposed master— moves closer to me and lift me up. He slightly bends his back backward as if to stay away from me.
“Somehow his attitude annoys me… do I look disgusting to you? I am a slime you know? I should look fluffy and cute…”
Despite my hurting pride, I quickly concentrate on my mission.
Now that I’m out of the water I can move. I wiggle my body to escape from master’s hand.
As soon as I landed, I quickly make my way to what should have be the living room. Luckily all the doors were opened so I didn’t have any difficulty passing through.
Now… in front of me is the dark lit living room. For a human maybe finding something in this condition may prove difficult, but for a high rank magical beast like me this is nothing.
I concentrate all of my senses to my Magic Circuits and deploy a Magic Field.
“
The outline of the room quickly surged into my mind in the form of a map. And in the middle of the room there is a red dot.
“Gotcha~”
Using wind magic I glide through the air quickly approaching my target.
“Take this!
“GUAHAK!!!”
I can feel a part of my head properly hitting the back of the target, and now he is lying on the floor in front of me. I checked the body to confirm its condition, ho~ it twitches a few times.
“Fufufu~ mission complete! ah! there he is! come here master! I’ve finished the mission!”
Feeling elated after I have completed the mission Master comes into the room with a worried look on his face.

Because of its slippery surface, the blue blob fell out of my hand and spring out of the room.
“Ah! where is it going?!”
Before I was able to chase after it, sharp pain suddenly attacked my head and I fell on my knee.
“Guh.. w-what was that?”
Then all of the sudden a pale blue screen appeared in front of me.
“This is… a status screen?”
Well… that’s what the title at the top of the screen tells me at least.

“What the… heck?”
There are so many things to retort to! Lvl? Equipment? Pet? saved my life?! What is going on?!
Though after seeing this many fantasy-esque things happening around me in succesion I can’t help but force my self to understand what was happening.
First… the blue blob— a slime probably— appeared on the bathtub and rushed away somewhere, then this “status screen” appeared along with instructions from this operator guy… illogical? yes… but it is real nonetheless…
“What should I do now..?”
Suddenly I heard a pained grunt from outside of the bathroom. Fearing the worst possible scenario, as quick as I can I rush to where the source of the scream is.
After searching through several rooms I finally found the blue blob in the living room sitting(?) beside a collapsed someone with dark clothing after I turned on the lights.
That slime- her name was Mana… was it?
She’s jumping up and down whilst swaying left and right… she seems… happy? as if expecting something from me… somehow her gesture reminds me of somebody…
“Ah…”
I remember… she is just like me when I was little… when my parents were often still home.
“…just like when I want some attention from papa and mama.”
I get on my knee and slowly picked her up and gently hugged her.
‘…she is warm.’
Suddenly an image of my mama smiling while hugging me appeared in my mind.
Overcome by emotions tears started flowing from my eyes.
"You have done a good job... I am so proud of you!"
I whisper repeatedly as if comforting my self.
