Otherworldly Emperor
Emperor to Villager 3

Emperor to Villager 3

Upon returning home, Li Wei and Louise were greeted with a larger than usual dinner on the wooden table.

“Wow! There’s so much food!”

Louise ran to one of the three wooden chairs and began stuffing her face. She has never seen so much food at once on their table before.

There was rice, green beans, corn, carrots, some weird-shaped fruits and vegetables, and even meat that was considered scarce in this village.

“Today is a special day, so I made extra. Young man, your stomach must be starving after not eating for so long.”

“Thank you.”

While Li Wei did not know that this single dinner that could have supported Louise and her grandfather for another three days was made just for him, he could tell that it was made with a lot of effort.

Dinner did not last long as both Louise and Li Wei stuffed their face with food endlessly.

“So this is what it feels like to eat dinner with a family…”

To Li Wei, this dinner was considered his first in this new life. And without his memories, he could only start a new life whilst making new memories.

“Ah… Yes… Young man, I almost forgot, but I still have your clothes… Louise, can you bring it here?”

“Un!”

Louise later came back with something neatly folded in her grasp.

“You had this on before we changed you out of it; it was hard to tell if you had any injuries with this in the way, after all.”

Li Wei received the clothing with a slightly nervous heart. This piece of clothing could recover his memories for all he knows, so he was a bit hesitant at first.

“The fashion and material this robe was made with is something I have never seen before. If I have one word to describe it, then it would definitely be ‘exquisite’,” said Louise’s grandfather, his eyes showing deep admiration to whoever made it.

Li Wei unfolded the white robes, and the first thing that came into his view was a creature with a long body-- like a snake-- that coiled around the robe. Its body was covered with golden scales along with a pair of profound and domineering eyes.

And right next to this snake-like creature was a bird-like creature-- a crimson red bird that looked like it was engulfed in flames.

A snake-like creature coiled around the right side of the robes along with a flaming bird that covered the other side with its fiery wings; it was a beautiful piece of art skillfully sewed onto a white robe that also has its own eye-catching features.

When Louise’s grandfather first saw the robe, he could not help but to allow this masterpiece mesmerize him, thinking to himself that whoever would dare to wear such a piece of clothing must be either super rich or was an illustrious figure.

Now seeing this piece of clothing again, the way Louise’s grandfather looked at Li Wei changed, and he thought:

“What kind of status-- what kind of person was he before losing his memories?”

He has seen this word a few times now, yet he has no idea what it means. Could it be a person’s name?

“Big Brother, you should put it on! I didn’t get to see it clearly last time, but I think it looked very cool!” Louise was also mesmerized by the Emperor’s Robe.

This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.

Li Wei nodded to her suggestion and changed his clothes on the spot. And because his actions were too sudden and unexpected, both Louise and her grandfather stared at Li Wei with wide eyes as his pure skin that could put every woman to shame enter their view.

*Gulp*

A loud and forceful swallow resounded.

Louise’s face instantly turned red upon seeing his flawless body, and she blocked her glittering eyes with tiny hands that had its fingers spread wide apart, which virtually did nothing but make her feel shameless and embarrassed...

Seeing Li Wei’s unexpectedly fit body, Louise’s grandfather could only sigh to himself:

“Oh how time flies... I miss my healthy body and strength... Haaaaa....”

With the Emperor’s Robe on Li Wei's body, the atmosphere in the room instantly changed.

Louise’s grandfather’s eyes exponentially widened from a mere glance at Li Wei who was currently wearing the Emperor’s Robe.

The elegant yet poor-looking pretty boy had turned into an entirely different person with the Emperor’s Robe. His aura, the pressure he emitted, everything was different. Louise’s grandfather currently felt as if he was standing in front of a King-- No, something beyond just a mere King.

Louise was no different than her grandfather. Mesmerized by how perfectly his face and body matched that robe, her eyes were glued to Li Wei, unwilling to move or blink.

A heavy and breathtaking pressure filled the small wooden house as if a real Emperor’s presence was present, and both Louise and her grandfather could feel their knees bending against their will.

Their body was subconsciously telling-- No, ordering them to kneel!

“Y-Young man… I-I think it would be better for you to put that robe to the sides for now…”

Louise’s grandfather wiped the cold sweat from his forehead as he said that, and thought:

“It won’t be good for my heart or anybody in this village for that matter if he walks around like that…”

“I understand, Senior.”

Li Wei did not complain nor question his suggestion and once again stripped naked in front of the two and returned to the tattered clothes.

“Ahem... Y-You also need to stop doing that… When you change, you should do it when there is nobody else around, otherwise, you will trouble them in more than just one way…”

Li Wei thought about what he said and nodded.

"I apologize for any trouble I may have caused."

“It's all good… Then I’ll be going to sleep now…”

“Yaaaawn… Big Brother, you too, should sleep soon. There’s a lot of work to be done in the backyard tomorrow morning, so having a good night sleep is a must. I also have a lot to teach you about farming tomorrow, okay?”

After saying that, Louise went to blow the lit candles that were giving the house light and went to sleep in the room in-between Li Wei’s and her grandfather’s room.

With the house now silent and dark, Li Wei also went back into his room and sat on his straw mattress.

It was not that late into the night, yet the stars are already showing.

Sitting on the straw bed, Li Wei stared at the Emperor’s Robe that was hanged on the wall beside him.

“Heavenly Emperor… What is that? Am I a Heavenly Emperor?”

Pondering about the meaning of Heavenly Emperor, Li Wei unknowingly drifted into the dreamland where he saw many familiar yet unfamiliar scenes.

There was a snake-looking creature that looked exactly like the one on his Emperor’s Robe that was transversing the starry sky-- only that its size was beyond anything he can imagine.

The next thing he saw was himself standing on top of a sword and flying across the clear sky along with a few other figures that were beside him. Although he was unable to see their faces clearly, he could very much feel that there was a deep bond between them.

“Who are you?” He asked them.

No answers.

“Who am I?” He asked again.

“You are Li Wei.” They spoke this time.

“What are we doing?”

“Silly Li Wei, what kind of question is that? Was it not your idea to travel this vast universe together?”

“Sorry, but I cannot remember because I have amnesia…”

“Hahaha…”

The four figures flying beside him laughed heartily.

“I have never heard of a Cultivator having amnesia… especially not someone with a profound cultivation such as yours!”

“Cultivator? Am I a cultivator? What does being a cultivator mean?”

“HAHAHAHAHA!”

“Li Wei, stop cracking so many jokes on us, we’ll die from laughter at this rate…”

“I never knew you were such a good joker, Li Wei!”

“But…”

Just as Li Wei was about to speak, a thick fog appeared out of nowhere and blinded his vision.

“Guys?”

No answer.

“Where did you all go?!”

Li Wei cried out loud, but then he felt his head hitting something hard.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself on the cold floor bathed in moonlight that peeked through the window.

“What… was that?”

Although he had no idea what had happened, he could hear the voice of those four figure still lingering inside his head.

“I am… a Cultivator? But what is a Cultivator?” He pondered on that word as he laid back on his bed made of straw.
