Kuhahahahahaha! Right now all the being within the Endless forest are shivering hearing the maniacal laughter of the demon fox. That's right the protagonist specifically the Nine-tailed demon fox is beati.. cough cough is playing with the slime he named rimuru not because of a certain slime okay definitely not.

Although it looks like he was hurting it because of his ridiculous stats that wasn't really the case he coated the poor slime with ridiculous amount of mana then hurl it towards a piece of large rock, no more like a mountain the result. The mountain got blasted off with only half of it remaining. At first, the poor slime thought that he will die, then in a miracle occurred he survived then as time passes it actually enjoy it, it's the first time it experienced something like this after all.

"As expected my stats is abnormal after all " muttered the demon fox. Although he thought that he was super strong he didn't expect that it would be this powerful. Although it looks like he was playing he was actually testing his strength and practicing to control it, after all, it would be bad if he blew off a mountain after all, well he already blew up a mountain but he already checked if there are living in the rock but he found nothing so he used it as a practicing tool but what if he blew a mountain where there are monster settlement. I'm their guardian after all.

While he was lost in thought a dragon with red scales approach him while bowing. "Your Majesty". The dragon said respectfully. "Please stop bombarding the forest, the monsters in the area is getting scared, some of them thought that the demons are attacking".with a sweet female voice

"I'm sorry, I got carried a bit hahahahaha" I said while looking at her while feeling apologetic he didn't realize that he was creating a small earthquake by bombarding the mountain scaring them so much they thought that they were under attack. He got carried away in having fun, after all, there's nothing it can do to pass time in the forest.

Suddenly Fafnir turned bashful and said while stuttering. "Your Majesty um um c-can we have p-pet time like before ". That's right the name of this female dragon is Fafnir by the way when she was in her human form she looks exactly like In*ri Y*z*riha pink hair with red eyes and small thin lips with a small figure everything is the same except her well-endowed chest. Although her face always has stoic expression but right now seeing her bashful expression is priceless.

Right now the only monsters that I befriend is Fafnir and Rimuru no one really can stand the enormous mana that I am emitting after all, although I already controlled my mana not to emit as much as possible but their instinct tells them that I'm dangerous, after all, I am the king of the endless forest, I am the top predator although it is ironic that my job is a guardian.

I transformed into my human form.

"Alright come here" I said while motioning her to sit on my lap although it looks like I'm taking advantage of her she was the one that actually proposed to sit in my lap I ask her where did she learn it but it looks like she saw this hundred of years ago when it was relatively peaceful back then when you can still see human settlements around the forest.

Although this beautiful dragon on my lap is old in age her mental age is that of a teen, dragons have long lifespan reaching hundreds of thousand years if not killed. The title loved by nature is not just for show, after all, they are also known for their short fuse they really get angry easily that's why humans didn't really want to meet a dragon.

The slime bounce and bounce until it jumps in my shoulder and brushed against my cheeks.

"Haaah what should we cook for dinner Rimuru?" The slime tilted it's body as if asking what are you talking about. He remembered that the only thing they can cook is roasted boar after all .

"Although it was fun to eat while camping but the food is only roasted boar *sigh* If I only know how to cook food"muttering under my breath while complaining.

Few days ago

*Cough* You there, yea you the dragon behind the tree can you come here for a moment I said with a soften voice while gently beckoning the poor dragon. Actually, with my size, she looks small compared to me. Added with her trembling body she only look adorable to me and then I noticed the blue slime bouncing towards me it seems that it thought he was the one I called.

"Your Majesty please forgive me for my insolence! I- before she could finish what she's gonna said she nearly fainted seeing the slime bounced towards the Demon fox up and down excitedly gaining the attention of the Demon Fox. Oh no! we're doomed. She screamed inwardly.

"Um?"

As I turned away from Red dragon that is sweating bullets towards the slime as it jiggled and bounced incessantly. If it was a dog it would be wagging its tail. I laugh as I watched it in amusement.

"U-m, Your Majesty?"

"Ah. You don't have to be that nervous it's not like I forbid anyone from flying above my territory I only punished those that disturb the peace in my territory or could it be that you want to disturb the order here"

I said while growling at the end. Seeing the flustered look of the dragon and the frozen slime I snickered inside. I knew that they were just unlucky to pass by as I wake up.

Based on the memories there are no strong monsters around here only those normal animals and weak monsters who seek asylum are here and only a few would dare to venture near where I am sleeping.

"What is your name little one" I asked the dragon with a more gentle tone.

" My name is Fafnir, your highness," she said respectfully and with a less tensed voice.

"I see then the slime .. I see you don't have a name huh then how about Rimuru.. I see you liked it huh" I said trying to hide my excitement after all he looked exactly like 'that' slime.

And the dragon is 'she' by the way.

The knowledge of this fox is really useless the memories I got is its everyday life, sleeping nothing really useful so I asked the Red Dragon about common knowledge and the recent events.

After that, I talked about mundane things like how are the things outside my territory and how is the situation outside the forest sadly, she didn't know much outside but I still learned that major races still didn't seem fond of us especially humans and I was actually only a legend and treated like a calamity I mean I really am but oh well I'm not gonna worry about it anymore.
