"You know, Mason, you didn't have to slap me back there!" Six said, almost whining to him.
"Goodness, shut up will you?" Mason said, walking down the halls with the other two. "We almost had to kill him because you revealed my name, my NAME, Amelia." Mason crossed his arms.
"Calm down you two." Gabriel said, chuckling a little. "So, what's up first?"
"Ooh! Since Theama is stalling by going through potential treaties, maybe we can go after the base of Asteara. It's one of the smaller bases, but if they want us to get Theama back to original size, that's gonna take at least a year on our hands." Amelia took out a military cap, putting on her head and messing with the tongue of it.
"You're not wrong there. Taking back everything is gonna take a while. So how about this, Amelia; you go to Asteara, I'll head to Gulbit, and Mason, you head to Forgelyke. Metal is your element after all." Gabriel said, chuckling. "We're not part of this division for no reason."
Amelia groaned and grabbed Gabriel's suspenders. "But Michael! It'll be much faster if we all go together!"
"Ugh, you're always such a baby! I find it hard to believe you're the strongest out of the three of us... Physically." Mason said, eyeing Amelia.
She waved him off, "Pssh... Yeah right." She snickered and shrugged. "I'm a woman! There's not much in this world we can do, now is there? Anyway, worse comes to worse... They may have a Celestial race or a mage. Not that I can't deal with those..!"
"Why don't you ever take off your glasses?" Mason asked, raising a brow.
"Who knows? Maybe I'm blind." Amelia laughed as the group stepped outside.
The sky was a bright blue with a bit of clouds here and there. "Alrighty! So, Theama is about 12 miles eastward from here. I can drive there." Amelia said, walking up to an empty jeep and hopping in. "Good luck boys!" She said as started the car.
She drove off, Mason and Michael watching her ride into the distance. "That girl is a piece of work..." Mason said, checking his watch.
Michael nodded, tapping a device on his ear. "Come in, Braxton?"
A voice then cut in through the device. "Yes, Gabriel?"
"Ahh, there we go, so it works. Good. So, here's the plan: we're going to start with military bases first before moving to cities. The bases we're going first are Asteara, Forgelyke, and Gulbit." Michael waited for a response, wanting to see how Braxton would react.
"But... Those bases are at least the size of small cities... Are you sure you guys can take them out?" Braxton said, sounding a little concerned.
"Of course we can. One of us should be enough to dismantle an entire government system. With the three of us, well... Those in power just have to count their days." Michael laughed, the thought of it just seeming funny to him.
"Very well. I trust your judgment. Fill me in once you're done." Braxton said, Michael calming himself down.
"Yeah, yeah we'll fill you in." Michael said, cutting out the transmission. "Okay, be careful Mason. Metal may be your specialty, but Forgelyke is a base mainly used for weapons, artillery, and vehicles."
Mason scoffed, "Yeah I know Michael." He turned around and extended his metal arm, a silver magic circle forming with 2 outer circles. Each circle had various intricate carvings on it and each one sparked with energy. Metal pieces began to form, Mason closing his eyes and focusing. Soon, it formed into a motorcycle.
"It's much harder creating the pieces that aren't metal." Mason said, hopping on and revving the engine. "Good luck, Fake Angel." Mason began to speed off west.
Michael sighed and looked north. "Well shit... It's a mine I have to invade, right?"
Amelia was speeding along the cobbled roads, humming to herself as she drove with one hand. She skillfully avoided other cars as she approached Asteara, a base primarily meant for aboveground resource gathering.
She soon stopped the jeep just outside of Asteara, stepping out. "Okay!" She patted herself down and began to walk up a hill to get a vantage point.
She reached into her back pocket and took out a black lens. It was about the size of the lens of her glasses, so she just put it up to her left eye. "Okay! Let's see what we're working with here!"
She scanned the area, "Hm. Not much security. Real cocky fellas huh?" She took a seat, looking over to the fields to the left. She saw people that looked malnourished being forced to do hard labor, tending to the fields without even so much as proper equipment. A woman next to a little girl, which Amelia assumed was her daughter, collapsed from the exhaustion.
The little girl rushed over to her, shaking her as a panicked and saddened expression crossed over her face. A guard walked up to her, clothed in navy blue and having a rifle at his side. He kicked the girl back, causing her to hold her chest and cry as she coughed blood.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Amelia looked at the situation with indifference however. She had to do her mission. She'll just kill the guy first.
Amelia stood up and stretched, giggling. "Looks like I've got my work cut out for me." She then crouched down, leaping high into the air and landing silently behind the guard.
"Who said you could stop working, bitch?" The gruff man said, looking down at the collapsed woman struggling to stand.
"That's no way to treat a lady now, is it friend?" Before the guard could turn around, Amelia reached up and grabbed the back of his neck, snapping it with ease.
"This should be a piece of c-" Amelia was cut off by the voice of another guard. "Halt! Who are y-"
Amelia dashed forward, leaving small pebbles of rock where she was standing in the air. She stopped in front of the guard and punched his chest, an audible crack being heard. "You humans are so fragile!"
The guard coughed blood onto her mask and glasses, but she seemed to enjoy it. She grabbed his wrist and raised her foot high into the air, while he was still hunched over. She slammed her foot into the ground and crushed his head, her expression unreadable behind her gas mask and glasses.
"Wooow! Coming out like flies huh?" Amelia picked up the rifle, checking the ammunition on it. "Filled to the brim. Me likey!" She spun it around and grinned. "Wonder if they have any bows or melee weapons around here."
She looked around the field, "No other guards stationed here? Only two? Wow... They must be VERY cocky!" She looked at the woman and her daughter. They appeared to have pale skin, both having short green hair, and silver eyes. "I feel bad for you guys, but fortunately I have something!" She reached behind her, taking out a pack of bread. "I bought it yesterday, so it's still fresh." She kneeled down and handed it to them.
They seemed a bit scared, but grateful that they were just saved by this mysterious lady. "Listen, little one. If you manage to survive this beautiful day in hell, and you manage to grow up, become strong like me, so you can protect those you hold dear, okay?" Amelia said to the little girl.
The little girl nodded a small smile forming on her face.
"Great!" She said, leaving the pack on the ground. "Time to massacre these guys!"
Meanwhile, Gabriel stood on the outside of Gulbit, watching guards patrol the entrance to the mines. He tapped the earpiece and spoke into it. "Come in, Braxton?"
"Yes, Gabriel- sir?" Braxton spoke from the other end.
"How much of this am I allowed to destroy if things get out of hand?" Michael asked, examining his pistol, a standard M9.
"Just keep as minimal damage to the mines as possible, that'll lead us to future costs." Braxton said, yawning a little.
Michael saw a patrolling guard leave from his post, wandering around.
"Alright, understood." Michael said as he stood up and tapped out from the call. I silently followed the guards watching him whistle as he unzipped his pants near some bushes.
As the man finished taking a leak, Michael came up from behind him. "Greetings." He said covering his mouth and just snapping his neck.
He watched as the man's body went limp looking around for any potential listeners before taking the clothes off the body, throwing them over himself. He put on a hat and positioned it so it perfectly concealed his hair and eyes.
He scanned and searched the body for any sort of ID. He couldn't seem to find any, but he found it once he searched the uniform he now wore.
Michael chuckled, "Hyken Lamio? Good thing he's human. Otherwise that would've made this cover more... Difficult." He said to himself, straightening out the uniform and hiding his M9 in the pocket inside the trench coat.
He then picked up the rifle that the man had and on his, holding it the exact same way before heading back to where he was originally.
"Damn, when did your tan leave ya?" The other soldier said as both of them laughed.
Michael looked around, not seeing anymore guards around. So, he reached out and immediately put the other guard into a headlock, his mouth until he slowly stopped struggling.
He gave the area one last look around before entering the mines.
Meanwhile, Mason slowly walked toward Forgelyke, the steam and smoke blowing into the bright blue sky.
"Let's get this over and done with." He mumbled, placing his hand on the ground, trying to sense for anything dead.
He senses something not too far from himself, so he begins to move. As he walked, it quickly became a pungent odor, definitely not suited to the nose, but Mason was all too used to it.
As the source of the smell came into view, Mason's cold, crimson eyes lit up for the first time in a while as a twisted grin began to form on his face. "This... This is perfect! PERFECT!"
In front of him sat a small pile of corpses, around 15 soldiers. He looked around, spotting some guards looking at him.
"Hey! Who are you?" One of the guards called out, beginning to walk over.
Mason's smile quickly faded, but a new prospect crossed his mind. He began to walk toward the guard, and before he could speak, he shoved the metal arm into the guard's chest. "A heart of steel you shall have." He took his hand out, taking out a luger as the other guard raised his rifle and shot him, hitting him clean in the head.
The other guard was still alive, his body thrashing on the ground as foam and blood began to pool in his mouth.
"You know. I don't really need glasses. In fact, they make my vision worse. I used to be a sniper, since I had the eyes." Mason chuckled, crouching down.
"That gunshot would've alerted other guards, but don't worry... After all." Mason stood up, looking at the thrashing guard as he soon went limp, lazily standing on his feet as his eyes seemed glossed over.
"If you have an ounce of metal in you, you're my zombie." Mason said, walking toward the pile of bodies.
Back at Asteara, Amelia was walking through the bloodied hallways as she hummed. She then heard footsteps and turned around, a small glint of amusement. "Oh? And who may you be?"
She said to a man that wore a black kimono, having brown skin, short black hair, and purple eyes.
