Somewhere in the West Blue,
In a dilapidated house on the outskirts of a village being slowly consumed by the encroaching forest, Anselm suddenly opened his eyes. "My head hurts. It's unbearable. Who hit me on the head?! Was it with an iron rod or something?"
He tried to scream but found he couldn't. It felt as though the air had been sucked from his lungs. With a sudden surge of energy, he sprang up from the moldering floor and took in his surroundings.
"Wait a second. What's going on with this place? Did I get isekaied?' Shaking his head 'as amusing as that might be, I probably just got kidnapped or something." "I can't believe this. The last thing I remember is falling asleep. Am I so oblivious that I didn't wake up when someone broke in and moved me? Wait, why am I not tied up then? And why are my forearms and hands so small? Hold on… what? I'm short! And yuck! Disgustingly lean with no muscle definition whatsoever. Bruh. Hell no. I actually got isekaied."
"Well, technically reincarnated since I'm in someone else's body. I just hope it's Earth. Or if it is a different world, let's hope it's not dystopian. Calm down. At least I'm a boy. I need some knowledge of this place.
This little man's memories should be coming to me soon." As soon as he thought that, a wave of memories flooded in. "Holy hell, what are these memories, man! This isn't right. He's just a little boy. He shouldn't have to remember this."
"Alright, let's start with my name. Anselm Anderswelt, huh? That sounds kinda cool.
Ok, I had a family.. They all died of a fatal illness. That might just be for the better. All that trouble of acting like a child and getting ordered around to do chores or acting as emotional baggage may hinder my journey. I mean it's not even a noble family. If i get attached to my little brother or sister, it might hinder everything. or perhaps this might be worse.Well, only time can tell.

Damn I feel for this kid. His whole family died and he lives to only die in a shitty house like this? Aren't there any orphanages here?
Hmm what else? Oh we live in a coastal village annexed by an island kingdom! Boring….
.....And terrifying! I hate the deep sea. I wanted to explore continents man! I wonder what the food here is like? This family ate nothing but porridges and potatoes. Tsk.Tsk.Not enough protein at all.
No wonder this body looks like crap. I'm starving. There should be some potatoes around here. Well it's better than nothing for now.'
He wandered around the house for a bit before entering a room which appears to be the kitchen.
The smell of rotting moist wood permeated through his nose. There was a firewood stove with a pot over it. He found a few potatoes, which he proceeded to boil using the dry bits and pieces of wood. After having his fill, he went outside the house.
Looking at the rising sun from the coastal village overlooking the ocean, Anselm sighed. 'And just when I was about to achieve success in life'. The coastal village was very small with a population of less than 500. All the houses were roughly the same. It felt more like an outpost
According to his memories, he found a stream nearby and drank from it.
Well at least the water tastes pretty fresh here.
Ok now to think about how to approach this life. The whole place seems to be medieval with a few steam ships here and there. I know next to nothing about this world other than the name of the Kingdom, Ilusia. Wait, that's Ilisia. Ok got it.
I need to start acting like a kid too. I might have to head to the capital of Illisia. I need a map of the world and I would probably need to look for a school. That is, if it's free and a basic privilege here.
Thankfully I can understand the writing here. It seems like the language is familiar. Like as if I already know it. The people seem unfriendly. It appears that they have isolated us to prevent catching the illness that befell my family.
Hold on, is that a seagull on the horizon? Why does it look so strange? Wait…. Is it holding a bag?!. It has a blue cap and everything.'As the well dressed avian flew, it suddenly started dropping newspapers'
Anselm widened his eyes. It couldn't be. No. NO. NOOO. I know that bird. That's a News Coo.
News delivering seagulls with uniforms, Island kingdoms, starvation and poverty at every corner. All of these clues reminded him of his favourite piece of fiction of all time.
I'M IN THE ONE PIECE WORLD!!!
