POV Neil
“Hellooooo and welcome to all of you who made it past the first day” (???)
“Huh?” (Neil)
Looking around I saw that there was a huge crowd of people (of which I was a part) all wearing the same clothes, standing in an empty white space. The crowd was looking around in confusion trying to find the source of the voice. Then, out of nowhere, a pillar started to rise from the crowd on top of which was a man. When the man started to speak again a screen appeared in front of everyone in the crowd. The screen showed the man at the top of the pillar.
Which such a large crowd all wearing the same thing I started to take more notice on our wears. The crowd was all wearing white long sleeved cotton shirts with brown leather pants. Everyone also had a rope around their wastes and a book latched on the belt. The man on the pillar looked overly formal compared to us, he was wearing a full blown business suit.
“Many of you probably have questions. I will try to answer all the important ones. Those idiotic questions like ‘how did we get here?’ or ‘who am I?’ will be ignored.” (???)
“Where are the gaming instructions?” (Voice from the crowd)
“Where are the cores?” (Another voice from the crowd)
“What’s the prize?” (Another voice from the crowd)
“How do you view stats?” (Another voice from the crowd)
All these questions and more were thrown at the man on the screen and pillar.
“Now, now, calm down. I will be answering questions but these questions must be submitted through the screen in front of you. Once you have all submitted a question, a tally will be taken and the most popular question will be answered first. Begin.” (???)
After the man had finished talking most people started to look around in puzzlement about what to do. I just stared at the pillar as I pondered what question I wanted to ask.
Having decided on ‘when does phase 1 one end?’ I looked back towards the screen. Underneath the live feed of the man was a ‘?’ button. Pressing the button caused a virtual keyboard to appear. After typing in my question, I waited for the other players to finish.
“Aaaaaaaaaand the top question is ‘how do I win?’. The answer is try hard. Next question. Ahem, ‘where…” (???)
He was of course interrupted by the players screaming about how they wanted a clearer answer. I was no exception.
“What the heck are we supposed to try?” (Neil)
One statement in particular caused the whole crowd to go silent. Right before bursting out in laughter.
“I already tried to get hard! But all the ladies turned me down.” (Shout from crowd)
As I was laughing, I noticed that the girls in the crowd were either glaring daggers at the guys or blushing while staring at the ground. There were some exceptions that also laughed. One of the exceptions decided that glaring wasn’t enough and hit me in the back of the head, causing me to fall. As I was getting up I heard her ‘Hmph’ and stomp away before I could even look at her. This caused the guys around me to laugh harder and make quips about girlfriend troubles.
“Really now.” (?? Female)
This voice came from everywhere, similar to the man on the pillar. Looking at the screen again I noticed that it had change from the top of the pillar to an office lady sitting at a desk. She too was wearing a business and just like the man, had blonde hair.
“Good evening everyone, my name is Amy. The person standing on the pillar is the owner of Opal Works, Travis Shaw. Seeing as how Mr. Shaw is doing a poor job of explaining the game, I will be taking over. Please raise your hand if you have a question, the interface will notify me who has raised their hand first. As I start answering a question put your hands down until I’m finished answering the question.” (Amy)
“Now wait just a moment. We agreed that I’d answer the questions.” (Travis Shaw)
“No Mr. Shaw, we agreed that we’d give you a chance and that if you fail, I’d take over.” (Amy)
“Who says I failed? I’ve just started to explain the game. And besides it’s mostly self explained.” (Travis Shaw)
“Very well. In that case we shall take a vote. All players who want Mr. Shaw to continue his explanation, please raise your hand.” (Amy)
I kept my hand down and looked around. No one was raising their hand.
“Good. Now, if you’d like me to explain, please raise your hand.” (Amy)
I raised my hand along with everyone around me.
“In a near unanimous decision, Mr. Shaw will now make his exit.” (Amy)
“No fair. What about…” (Travis Shaw)
Travis was cut short as both him and the pillar disappeared.
“Now than, does anyone have any immediate questions or shall I begin by explain how to receive a reward?” (Amy)
When she asked if we had questions mine and a few others’ hands went up. But once she mentioned the reward, all hands shot down and everyone fell silent as we watched the woman on the screen.
“Very well. All the players that died during the first day aren’t allowed to try for the rewards offered in phase 1 part 1. In part 1 the winners may receive the elements water, earth, air, or fire. In part 2 players may receive the elements light, dark, wood, and metal. In part 3 players may receive the elements chaos, order, body, and spirt.
Please note that just because you chose an element this doesn’t stop you from winning a different element. What you can win with these elements is resistance or familiarity. You may only win one element of this phase. All of you who wish to try for the elements in part 1 may stay. If you wish to not try for part 1 element’s you may leave so that you don’t have to repeat day one on the other parts. If you try for part 1 elements and fail you may try for the other elements but will have to repeat day one.
All these phases start with day one. On day one no monsters will appear, you can only harm and be harmed by other player, and other than your supper power you will have stats that relate to your real physical condition.” (Amy)
That explains so much on how I survived day one. I inwardly sigh in relief.
“Now that I have explained the basics, are there any questions?” (Amy)
After she finished there was a moment of silence as everyone was absorbing the information. After which some hands were raised.

“I wanted to have ice magic. How do I get that element?” (??)
“For our game, Fantasy Works, the ice element is a sub category of the water element. In order to use ice magic you must have of water mana and fire mana.” (Amy)
“But I want ice, not fire,” (??)
“Ice requires the fire mana attribute in the sense that it’ll remove the heat from the water.” (Amy)
“So each element will have their own mana pool?” (??)
“Yes. Next question.” (Amy)
“Why weren’t we told any of this before the game?” (??)
“As the owner of the company, Mr. Shaw decided not to reveal any information to, and I quote, ‘Make the game more fun’.” (Amy)
This made me roll my eyes and loose respect for Mr. Shaw.
“How do we win?” (??)
“In order to receive a reward you must survive until the end. The end of the game will happen when all players have all four elements. For more information on receiving the elements please look at your books. If the end of the game can’t be reached by the time limit of 3 years. No one will win.” (Amy)
“What the heck!!!?” (??)
“What do you mean no winner?” (??)
Amy’s explanation caused many shouts and comments to be thrown out. And when Amy didn’t answer them they just got madder and shouted louder. I wasn’t one of the ones shouting, I was just staring at the screen in shock. Once I got over it, I realized that Amy wasn’t answering their question because no one was raising their hands. Taking the lead, I raised my hand.
“How can we avoid no one winning?” (Neil)
“To avoid there being no winners you must get all remaining players to have the four elements. This can happen a multiple of different ways. You can get every player to cooperate and all work to retrieving cores. Or you could work individually to steal nuclei. Or if you already have four elements you can just kill the remaining players without four elements.” (Amy)
“What are these cores and nuclei? And where can we get them?” (??)
“As to what they are, I will direct your attention to the books you carry. Finding nuclei is also explained in the book. Cores however are guarded. The fire cores are guarded by dragons, water cores are guarded by leviathans, earth cores are guarded by golems, and air cores are guarded by gryphons. If you find these guardians you will be able to find cores close by.
That will be all the questions I can answer, as our time is up. Good luck.” (Amy)
And with that I woke up where I had taken my nap. I had decided that it was safe to sleep by the forest sense I hadn’t seen any monsters so I woke up leaning against a tree.
[Notice: Now that day one has ended you may now view your info, use your inventory, un-equip items, and monster are now spawning.]
The first thing I did was walk over to where I had hidden my cores and uncover them.
[You have found water cores. Do you wish to equip a core?]
{Yes | No}
“Yes” (Neil)
After choosing yes, one of the cores started to shine along with my book. Once the light died down I looked at my book and saw that the core was bulging out of the cover. I now owned a green leather book with a blue semi-sphere in the front.
[You have gained the spell ‘Mist’]
“Spells.” (Neil)
My book started shining and unbuckled itself from my belt. It then floated in front of me and turned to my Spell page.
Air Bullet 1
Air Ball 5
Mist ∝
“Air ball and mist.” (Neil)
[Air Ball]
Casts a ball of air the size of a baseball.
[Mist]
Conjures a mist. Density of the mist will depend on factors such as the range at which the spell is cast from the user, the intended area of coverage, and the mana put into the spell.
“Sweet. Now I just got to find a golem and a dragon.” (Neil)
To get a perspective on how had the dragon and golem would be I decided to look under the waterfall for the leviathan. After entering the water and making sure I kept my distance I noticed that I couldn’t stay under water without having to hold my breath.
“Cough… cough… phew. I’m already missing day one.” (Neil)
After swimming closer to the waterfall I was finally able to see the leviathan.
“MMMMmmm!!” (Neil screaming in water)
What I saw looked something like this.

“Now I’m really missing day one. Good thing I got the cores before the leviathan showed up.” (Neil)
After nearly having a heart attack and almost drowning I walked back to my cores and put the other 14 into my inventory. The inventory turned out to be on the inside of the back cover of my book. The inventory was a set of 4×5 boxes meaning I could store 20 different items. Thankfully my cores could stack and only take up 1 box.
After picking up my cores, I froze. Not because I saw a monster, but because I didn’t know what to do. I was swept in the current for at least an hour and the top of the waterfall was on top of a cliff. Walking back to the village would take forever. But if I stayed in the wild I’d probably die. Then I suddenly remembered…
“Oh, right. Stats.” (Neil)
Name Neil Level 1
Health 200 Mana 40
Health regen 5 Mana regen 4

Physical resis 10 Magic resis 19
[These stats are based off of how you spent your first day. Please note that health and mana regenerate once after a full minute has passed. We hope you enjoy the game.]
After I finished reading the message, it disappeared. Looking at the stats, I smiled.
“Thank goodness for the health regen.” (Neil)

I am new to this and haven't put the tables in yet (sorry). I have just copied and pasted from word.
Any advice is welcomed.
